Excuse me for my inaccuracy, but increasing of parallel threads leads to increasing memory usage, so more threads, more speed.
I'm not sure of my reasoning, please correct me.
Will be better if 8 Gigs cards to use full memory with increasing of speed

Quote
That may indeed be true, two threads instead of one in parallel. But not sure that will bring much - the cores are well loaded and no long idle times in 192/7. Also I do not have a 8G AMD, so can not test ^^ Maybe you can check if its indeed better to run the miner 2x on same cards, but I doubt it will bring much more then 1-2% maybe.

Hm yes indeed, may be no more advantage for doubling of threads, however have a difference between running two different instances, or one process with double of threads in empty process cycles.
If you  not see the reason for possibility to increasing memory usage, ok.

One other thing, please configure miner to do not lock the log file, because cannot be read during mining process. (with tail for example) This on Windows miner version.

Code:
S E:\lolMiner_v06_alpha3_Win64\logs> Get-Content .\2018-11-24_17-14-14.log -Wait -Tail 30
et-Content : The process cannot access the file 'E:\lolMiner_v06_alpha3_Win64\logs\2018-11-24_17-14-14.log' because it is bein
 used by another process.

It possible to increase Equihash192/7 GPU memory usage over 4G?
Actual maximum GPU memory usage on this algorithm is 3.1G, not closer to 4 as per described in OP
Environment variables are set correct.

The description is still for 0.5, 0.6 uses less memory. But why you want to use more when you do not need to?

Do we need to change also sievePerRound to 7 ?

in my case it automatically adjust SievePerRound:

Work received: height=2555695 diff=10.991005 latency=31ms
 * warning: no enough candidates (16071 available, must be more than 16384
increase sieves per round to 13

.

increase sieves per round to 12
.
.
Work received: height=2555704 diff=10.991011 latency=46ms
 * warning: no enough candidates (16325 available, must be more than 16384
increase sieves per round to 13
.
.
Work received: height=2555717 diff=10.991013 latency=31ms
 * warning: no enough candidates (15526 available, must be more than 16384
increase sieves per round to 14

You do not have automatic mode for parameter SievePerRound, look carefully at the log that you post Wink
Anyway, the lowering of CPD with more than 28-29 times as mentioned by eXtremal (and this is a real), not means that your income will lowering with 28-29 times Wink

WARNING: difficulty grows and can reach 11!
All previous xpmclient versions automatically switch off when work with difficulty 11 will be received!
You can follow 2 ways:

1. Manually edit config.txt when difficulty reach 10.99+
Quote
# Target Cunningham chain length, default = auto (adjust to difficulty)
target = "11";

# Sieve layers number, optimal value is target*2; default = auto (target*2)
width = "22";

2. Use new version 10.2-beta.

...

New xpmclient version 10.2 beta available HERE. New features:
- Radeon RX Vega support. See config.txt
Quote
# Platform:
#  "amd": AMD GCN cards
#  "amd legacy": AMD HD5xxx & HD6xxx cards
#  "amd vega": AMD Vega cards
#  "nvidia": NVidia Maxwell cards
platform = "amd vega";

With "good" drivers you can get 14,5-15 CPD on Vega56 and more than 16 CPD with Vega64. What is "good" drivers? Need more statistic from miner users.

- Difficulty target automatic switch. For use this feature, edit config.txt:
Quote
# Target Cunningham chain length, default = auto (adjust to difficulty)
target = "auto";

# Sieve layers number, optimal value is target*2; default = auto (target*2)
width = "auto";
With this settings miner automatically switch to target=11 when difficulty reach 10.991.

Remember, that CPD with target 11 will be less by 28-29 times than you see with target=10!

Do we need to change also sievePerRound to 7 ?

Re: mkxminer: fast Lyra2rev2 miner for AMD GPUs (Vertcoin, Monacoin, Verge, STRAKS)
by

on 10/12/2017, 20:08:34 UTC
I tried mining with mkxminer v.2 on stratum+tls://mona.suprnova.cc: 3001. Miner goes perfectly is very powerful. Compared to sgminer, this is an incomparably more powerful program.
On my mining rig, the RX480 achieves such results: https://imgur.com/PDMkr2t
On the first page are approximate GPU card performance. I only reach 26 Mh/s.
How to get the RX 480: 36MHs ? I have four msi RX480 8GB (1303/2000 Mhz) and no overclocked GPU cards.

Are you using the "best' batch file that comes with the miner? That should give you 33-34 mh/s at stock settings based on the testing I've done on a Rx 480 8 gb.
I use this setting for gpu. I forgot to add that bios are original without modification.

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

mkxminer.exe -o stratum+tls://mona.suprnova.cc:3001 -u user -p pass -I 19

pause

Try it with "-I 23" as recommended by the developer. It's what we use as well for Rx 470, Rx 480 and Rx 570,  Rx 580 - we get 33-34 Mh/s on both the Rx 480 and Rx 580s (8 total GPUs, with 1 exception that only does 30 for some reason).
I tried to give the original intensity 23 as you type but writes that high intensity: https://imgur.com/a9GrAs0.
So I lowered to 22 and the resulting value is 30 Mh/s here is the screen: https://imgur.com/CWOPvkZ.
Consumption is 970 W at this setting and core temperature also 75 degrees, which is quite high for me.
I'm trying to reduce the GPU rate as Mhz and core voltages and later I will publish my results.

use --asm

Is there any plan to make a new release?

Re: How to Mine PascalCoin ? I pay 20 ETH. (STILL NEED HELP)
by
drr0ss
on 26/01/2017, 15:02:10 UTC
Here you go;

1) Go to this link and download wallet
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pascalcoin/

and
Go to this link and download windows binaries

https://github.com/Vorksholk/PascalCoin-OpenCL/releases/download/v1.00/PascalCoin_OpenCL_ProxyMiner_v1.zip

2) Open wallet and let it sync.. (By the time it is syncing you can do other things as follows)

3) Go to Project> Options > Set miner name (8 letters or numbers) I keep it "12121212" (btw set password for your wallet as you like)

4) On the same page.. Make sure that "JASON-PRC Server" is ticked

5) Default port is 4009 .. if you want to change it .. Change it and remember it. (I would keep it default)

6) Miner Server Private Key : Always Mine with this key  and select your "12121212" from dropdown.

7) Hit OK and go to main wallet screen

Cool Tick "Explore accounts with one of my wallet keys"

9) Now Select the key 12121212 from the dropdown

10) By this time the Sync will be half way done..  Sync will take a long time (5-10 min) So give it some time

11) You should be able to See "Node Status" "Running" in green.

Now your wallet is ready ..

12) Now open "PascalProxyv2.jar" from the same folder (Give it a minute to open ; it will open in command prompt)

13) Enter desired host : 127.0.0.1  > hit enter

14) Enter desired port : 4009 (Or if you changed it before use that port)> Hit enter

15) Enter number of GPUs to support : 6 > Hit enter

16) Please enter miner prefix : 12121212 > Hit enter

17) Minimize the command prompt window

18) Now create a batch file "start.bat"

19) Edit batch file in notepad :
cd C:\Pathto your folder\PascalCoin_OpenCL_ProxyMiner_v1
PascalCoinOpenCL_ProxyMiner.exe p0 d012345 c30

20) parameter c works best for me but you can try 25-50 range; if you see hashrate too low.. then try changing this.

My ETH address:
0x5181c3A1CBC352698747e3c9A9DCDD5194252BA1

SET GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
SET GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
SET GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
SET GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

And please read careful README, from two version of miner parameter GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR need to be equal to 1, depending -i parameter that increasing of intensity growing video memory usage.

Important: Version 1.3.0 needs GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1

Claymore recommends  GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=0

[info] Connecting to zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6633.
[error] TLS handshake with zec-eu1.nanopool.org failed: certificate verify failed

Nanopool uses a self-signed certificate. Optminner does not accept this as it gives this it cannot verify that there is no man-in-the-middle attack.

Thank you, is there possibility (I have download the certificate) to tell optiminer to use them?

I might add the option to specify the pool certificate fingerprint on the command line. This would allow you to mine on a pool that uses self-signed certificates in a mostly secure way.

Hi, I tested version 1.3, still not have an option to add manual downloaded self signed certificate?
Also I cannot got to work (Windows version) on any way on R9 390 Hawaii. Miner exit after initialization of Hawaii without any information...

I had this same "not authenticated" stuff on another miner app on dwarfpool.
I guess it's not only claymore's miner, but also the pool.
will try another pool now , if it 's only with drawfpool , better is to tell them , and wait for fix , they did , update today , website was offline all morning (europe)

seem running perfectly on an other pool ... must warn drawfpool ...

Not a pool bug, it is version 9.7 issue, 9.6 runs fine.

Just tested my 9.6 for some more time. No issues. So I think something broke when the code was updated.

btw one correction Smiley
-u wallet_id.PAYMENT_ID.(rig_number)
Right, never mind, you got my idea Smiley

btw how did you know that pool is repsponding to shares that miner did not send?
I not made a deep investigation on log, Claymore says this in PM to me.

I have sent Claymore my log of whole 6 hours of 9.7. So lets see what happens
Yes, let try to be patient a little bit, I try to be helpful for investigation Wink

EDIT:
I think that something wrong with option (dot rig number) because have few rigs, on the same wallet/walletID, and if the pool not receive correct rig number, probably not communicate the right way with my rigs.
I think other people that have an issues, also with more than one rigs, but may be I am wrong Smiley
