It all depends how open bazaar works as I'm not exactly sure how it does at the moment. Is it just going to be one huge platform? Can anyone sell anything there? Drugs, weapons, porn etc, or will there be individual stores or sites to sell individual items ie one for drugs one for goods, one for weapons and so on. If it makes those things more accessible to the general public bitcoin could see a spike as people get involved.
With only 11..!! Bidders on the latest SR auction I don't think anyone in his right mind can still think that bitcoin is something that is desired by the people. This is a perfect demonstration that there really is no general interest in it and the crumbling down of this new rally strengthens this position.

You have to pre-apply to bid on that and let's face it only a select few businesses have enough money to buy big lots like this. Regular people will just continue to buy them from exchanges. Many people probably don't want to buy them directly off the US gov. I know I wouldn't.'
Halving is overhyped. W can only speculate what will happen after it. Standard economics, law of supply and demand would say that bitcoin price MUST go up. But here is a problem, Bitcoin is not exactly under influence of standard economics laws. Personally I would be very surprised if bitcoin price skyrocketed as a result of halving.
It IS overhyped, but that could be good for the fact that there might be extra demand for bitcoins and the trading scene could benefit with that.Hype is good and we need a little excitement, but theoretically bitcoins halving should have an effect as long as demand is still the same or higher.
Things can easily snowball out of control and likely will - people buying before the halving will be reported by the media and the publicity will lead more people to buy.... Then the halving of surplus coins will take effect so there will be a new ALT.... and it might even shock us all come before the halving because people I have talked to are stocking up in advance

Not far off? It's near a year away. I do think it will have an impact on the price but will be ultimately superficial. People will panic around that time buying coins thinking its going to rise and it will because of that.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but I think people should be able to create fantasies on whatever they want. Might not stop someone suing for damages though. Photoshopping jizz on someone isnt nice either but guess you can't stop people from doing it.

What shops in Holland accept bitcoin? I've never seen any there. I have never bought drugs with bitcoin though would be cool to buy a coffee and some weed in Amsterdam though.

Most won't be getting 1 BTC per month. You can go to see services for current rates. But you really need to bring something to the table if you are thinking that much.
Also you will need to raise your account level. It is not fast but it is worth it. You will learn about mining, bitcoins, tons of topics on the forums. Eventually you will grow into a bigger rank and it will be easier to do them. General rule is full member is where the real money kicks in.
Biggest advice make sure your posts contain good content, and are not one liners. Sadly a lot do crappy posts or one liners trying to gain posts and get a temp ban.
Agreed withe everything you said. I don't think there's any campaigns where you can earn 1 bitcoin a month currentl eithery. Think there's some where you can earn half a coin but that's a lot of posts and only if you've got a Senior or Hero account.

and how they will identify a criminal and associate it with a given address? there is no way to do it, if this dude isn't so naive and used his name somewhere
Probably depends on what he did with those addresses or how he moved coins to and from them. The company seems to be remaining tight-lipped on how they would have done it so could be lies or exaggerations at this point.

I'm guessing this means that all the various claims were that it was a beheading... it's not like a bunch of people were saying different stories right? Why aren't we able to see the in-store video? Isn't this the kind of thing that always gets on the news? Why the tight lips?
Refusing to release information will only add to confusion and the spread of misinformation. Of course the fringe press will say they shouted Allah Akbar because that's what they want to be true, though they should actually clarify what actually happened just for everyone's sake, though maybe they fear repercussions if they did so.

Check stunnas latest posts as he mentioned it briefly but not in any great detail. I believe he also said he isn't going to give any eta's for obvious reasons. I'm sure they're working hard on it and it'll be released when its ready.
That was a fun article to read. For me, it is a bit irritating to see so much misinformation and misconceptions being spread around by the media. Bitcoin is a great thing and the benefits of it are fantastic. Another thing that is bad about the media spreading misinformation is if people hear something negative about Bitcoin, they may stay away from Bitcoin all together.
The general public will come around eventually once they realize the true benefits of it, but hopefully one day they will regret and rue their ignorance. In the meantime just keep promoting the benefits and positives of bitcoin and hopefully more people will come around sooner.

thats a pretty nice list, didnt even know it existed until now. not completely up to date but still incredibly useful.
It was only updated the other day. What's missing? Seems pretty accurate to me but campaigns that advertise ponzis or likely scams aren't listed.
