well, I think I will make slightly different 1. I'd go for some rx570 4g (or 8GB for 15-20$ more) - maybe 2 rigs with them - they will be mining crytpnight coins, there no need to buy RX 580 which is more expencive and have almost same performance. 2. Then 3 rigs with RX580 for ETH or dual mining 3. Then I'd take 2 rigs with NV1070ti - for other coins that loves nvidia cards, btx, zcoin, neoscrypt and others
I was thinking of the 580 since from what I picked up checking others' benchmarks it had better performance than the 570? And the price difference is kinda negligible.
I'm curious about the nVidias... to be honest from what I've searched it always looks like the 580 seems a better bet overall?
I wasn't really looking into many other coins as much as ETH.
if you need people to pitch you ideas, you haven't done enough of your own research. 30k to invest and you really haven't got a clue. hell people shouldn't even need to post as well lets face it theres enough ideas here on the forum that you could find them yourself
Where did you read I -need- people to pitch ideas? Last time I checked this is a forum and wanting to debate ideas has nothing to do with having or not having made research.
If there's another topic with debate on investment in such kind of amounts and from this month please let me know, you don't need to be an asshole

Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to the mining game (just started with a HF account on SHA256) and I like the idea of contributing to the network instead of just buying coin as an investment.
I have roughly $30k to invest and I would like to hear out your ideas, especially from people who have experience with different builds and cryptocurrencies.
As of now I was thinking of going through in January with 5 rigs consisting of 12 Sapphire RX580 8GB Limited Edition on an ASRock H110 mobo, each. My objective is to mine ETH and I'm counting with steady 30MH/s+.
Pitch in your ideas, do you think this is a good idea or is there a better way to build a rig and invest my $30k?
