Re: PEPE time to buy NOW?
by
duckalis
on 12/05/2023, 23:20:03 UTC
There are rumours that Coinbase may list PEPE soon, even if the token’s growing community has criticised the exchange as a result of an email that referred to Pepe the frog as a ‘hate symbol.’ Regardless of how that particular drama plays out, there’s little question that PEPE has already outgrown its dubious beginnings as another trashy meme token.
It currently has over 105,000 holders, up from only a few thousand a week ago. Given this momentum, and given the fact that whales are stocking up on the token, PEPE could easily see a recovery to $0.000002 and higher in the next few weeks. Bigger gains will depend on whether the token can attract a few more listings from major exchanges.

IMX is already up 3.3% and OP is up 7.6% for the day (13 May). I hope you managed to buy something on the drawdown. And hope it was OP as its price is rising optimistically.

Of the listed altcoins, only MATIC showed growth over the one-year timeframe (+35.7%). Of those that have experienced a decline, but the smallest, stands out LINK (-5.84% for the whole year).
These are the ones I would choose to invest in for the long term.

50% for ETH, 30% for BNB, 20% for XRP. It’s better to invest more in ETH, as it is a more reliable coin. But less in XRP, as Ripple is still suing the SEC (no idea what the outcome will be).

Re: My friend's investment in Bitcoin

You haven’t done anything reprehensible. You have simply told the friend about the opportunity that exists.
When talking to friends and relatives, the most important thing is not to convince them of anything and not to advise them when it’s better to buy or sell BTC. Let them do their own research and make a decision, rather than relying on someone who seems more experienced. Otherwise they will then blame the person who instructed them.

It was the victim’s own fault for boasting to a casual acquaintance about his crypto activities. And in fact, even if the Syrian was not a luxury car dealer and crypto investor, he shouldn’t have attended parties in a strange place in an unfamiliar city.

As Bitcoin Ordinals gain popularity, many experts believe that the technology will evolve and improve in the coming years. In particular, we can expect:
• Improved functionality
• Development of infrastructure projects
• Expansion of the scale and scope of adoption.
Such developments should make the cryptocurrency ecosystem more integrated.

Re: Results of U.S. debt default
by
duckalis
on 10/05/2023, 23:42:51 UTC
Geoff Kendrick, the head of forex research at Standard Chartered, believes that if the US defaults on its debt obligations, the price of BTC would rise 70% to more than $40,000. He called a possible default an unlikely event that could still caouse serious consequences. Therefore, investors who consider BTC a safe haven will pour their funds into the major coin if the market falls.
If a default is declared, the surge in BTC price won’t start immediately. The surge would be preceded by a fall of around $5000, after which the coin would rise by $25,000. While BTC will follow a bullish trend, prices of other cryptos may decline.

If you look at the 30-day chart, SFM was in flat from 11 to 29 April, and then it went into a downtrend (although it was already a global trend in the whole market).

Those who use bitcoin for payments and transfers aren’t intimidated by high fees. They use layer-2 protocols like Lightning Network.

It’s too early to expect a bullish trend that emerges before the halving. The halving won’t take place until April 2024. And bulls will be rampant 6 months before that. We should hope for their activity from about November 2023.

You can add a 4th point: explore descriptions and perspectives on launchpads of exchanges that launch IEOs of new coins/tokens.

Re: IS IT SAFE TO INVEST PENSION FUNDS IN BITCOIN?
by

on 08/05/2023, 23:57:27 UTC
Investments for retirement are long-term investments of 20-40 years. However, the first cryptocurrency is only 14 years old.
Of course, we can hope that BTC won’t depreciate in another 10 years and even try to predict its price. But no one knows what will happen to the entire crypto market in 20–30 years.

With DOGE, follow this pattern: buy when the price is down and sell as soon as Elon Musk starts pumping his beloved coin. That is, don’t wait for a 5-10x increase, but follow the trends set by the Dogefather.  Cool

This is a good plan. Keep buying and storing BTCs in whatever quantity you can afford. Consider it as a means of saving, not making money, so don’t pay attention to the price.

Musk’s movement had a short-term effect. A couple of days later, there was a price correction. If you look at the monthly timeframe (April 4 – May 3), the price of DOGE dropped by 17%. It doesn’t look like a flight to the moon, unfortunately.

If you prefer online activity, go for an online business. You could buy ready-made websites, continue to develop them, and make money from advertising. Or simply sell them at a higher price after nurturing them.
It’s almost like the cattle rearing your friends advised you to do. And it’s almost like the ASIC farming. Only the animals on your online farm will be websites.

I would even say that there are 5 types of attitudes towards BTC:
1. Denial.
2. Scepticism.
3. Interest.
4. Confidence.
5. Bitcoin evangelism.

Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc
by

No, the growing number of altcoins has no effect on the price of BTC. Even the growing number of ERC tokens created on Ethereum has no effect on the price of ETH.
