Overthinking has been a big problem in most of the peoples life. Gives you a negative attitude, affects your relations with friends, family etc. How can you possibly stop yourself from overthinking when probably you have no control of what to think?

Know yourself. If you do not know yourself, no one will get to know you anyway. Begin the habit of spending time calmly each day to explore your own thoughts. The habit will also improve self-esteem. Try doing writing exercises and see what your responses reveal about your values
