Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux)

Hello all.
I have aproblem with v15.0 of miner software and rx 570 8 GB gpu.
I install the gpu last amd driver and when start to mine the miner show me error 1002 that can not install the driver and my gpu start mining ETH with only 9MH/s. I tried everything: reinstall amd drivers, try different driver version but nothing. Still 9MH/s. The gpu is absolutley new card. My OS is Windows 7 SP1. How can i fix this problem?

Use DDU for clean driver https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

I have 19.5.2 with rx580nitro+/se no soucis  https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-19-5-2

Thanks for information BUT.....after  a few hours of install and uninstall drivers and so on... still NOTHING.
I use DDU and remove all drivers, after that i installed AMD display driver 19.5.2 but only display drivers. After reboot i try again miners but still 9,2 MH/s Tried to press "y" in miners and enabled compute mode. Reboot pc and still the same hashrate. I tried to use other software to enable compute mode and after restar - still 9,2 MH/s. Is there need to install all amd display driver package (software and so on)?
Also is there someone who mining ETH in WINDOWS 7?
How to unlock all potential speed of my gpu under win 7?
EDIT: maybe I must tell that my pc is with older GTX 970 4GB as primary gpu and the new gpu RX570 is as second gpu on my MB.

When you are enabling Compute mode, are your running your batchfile with an elevated command prompt? If not the compute mode won't turn on as it requires administration permissions to make the change.

Just traied: run bat file as admin - still 9,42MH/s. Tried to put "-y 1" options in bat file and run again as admin - still the same......

When DDU, set it to not download drivers automatically. Also set it to delete AMD foders. Also set it to run from Safe mode....  Also instal 20.4.2 and NOT the last driver ( well that depends on what windows version you have )

The bat file is: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal *******.gpu -epsw x -rxboost 1 -platform 1 -etha 0 -mode 1 -y 1 -strap 1

I tried with and without "-strap" options, also and the default start.bat file - still the same.

When i use DDU was in safe mode, before that deleted the AMD folders and after that i use 19.5.2 version and install the display driver manual - still the same.
I used also and AMD-Compute-Switcher.exe software and it tell me that all of my gpu-s are in compute mode.
When i start the miner it says that all amd gpus are in compute mode but 9,42MH/s@86W power.......
I think there is a problem with my windows 7 or conflict with my default GTX 970 4GB gpu.
install Windows 10 and disable updates

Looking at the way IEO is going and the way it's been arranged, I don't think bounties will ever be issued out for it, that's my stake on it. But who knows things might change in the future giving that it's still in its early stages.

Got to know about this project through a Friend, not bad for a masternode coin, but will like to know the requirements involved for staking.

Re: My small advice about crypto market
by
dutchkay
on 11/08/2018, 18:38:34 UTC
Not understanding how the cryptocurrency market works gives rise to Fear Uncertainty and Despair (FUD). Many people just jump inside crypto without learning how the market operates. For this market patience is the key. Learn how the market operates and you will understand that it is normal for a pull back when there is a big bull. Know that in every market there must be a pull back and this is what balances the market, there is no way a market can be on a straight rise without pulling back.

Re: is it true that bitcoin is a disaster for local banks
by

Bitcoin can become bad news for banks is widely accepted and if it goes global. Imagine having to handle all of your transactions without issues and faster than any banks can offer you. Now let's look at remittance. Western Union and the rest charges much and they also have delays. Bitcoin have none of these and thanks to lighting network it's transaction fees have reduced. This s why the banks have always been skeptical about bitcoin. True it is volatile but aside that let's look at the good sides. If given a chance it will disrupt the banking industry.

Re: What problems can Bitcoin & Blockchain solve ??
by

on 11/08/2018, 17:24:53 UTC
Bitcoin and blockchain have solved many problems already at this their early stages. Many companies have moved to blockchain technology by understanding it's usefulness. The voting system can be designed on a blockchain with transparency. Ethereum blockchain serves as Dapp for developers. Steem blockchain is a blockchain blog where you can earn by writing which have actually superseded Facebook and it's likes. There are blockchain where you can monetize your ads. Bitcoin serves as remittance and is solving delaying issues when it comes to transfers. Yet we are still in its infancy.

Re: Is it too late to invest in bitcoin? Is it a bubble?
by

Investing currently in bitcoin is not too late. I remember my first time and same thing happened. The market dipped and for months I was in loss. Never new that today will be like this, and the current price we are in currently. That's why bitcoin trading is all about experience. Many are shouting that they have lost tremendously based on the current price of bitcoin. One thing about this market is that it passes many phases before it corrects. So better learn all you can this period before it kicks off.

Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin?
by
dutchkay
on 10/08/2018, 16:10:03 UTC
Regardless of the price many still bought, whether you call that foolish or not is not the case but the case is believing in something that you know might change your future. A tree doesn't grow and mature in days and so does bitcoin. Many are hoping for a rapid growth but the truth is that it can't be growing at such pace. For it to stand out let's wait it out. Everyone is screaming 50k dollar mark but I think it will come to pass but not that soon. Keeping hope alive and while at it don't invest more than you can scream 😱 about.

Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin?
by

on 09/08/2018, 15:35:02 UTC
Bitcoin being the talk and the top cryptocurrency dominating the market. Many factors scare people away from investing in bitcoin and some still sees bitcoin as ponzi and a scam form of investment. Some gave the reason that government will ban it, and are waiting for government approval before they can invest in it. While some are scared of its volatile nature, saying it should be stable before they can delve into it. Especially institutional investors.

Re: Will Bitcoin become the reserve currency of the world?
by
dutchkay
on 09/08/2018, 12:06:50 UTC
Becoming a world currency that's a huge one. There are certain factors to be considered before flagging off a currency. The Government can't flag off what they don't have control over it. Now bitcoin is decentralized but cannot be traced. Don't get me wrong, your transactions are visible but a name and a face is not attached to it. So chances of using it for fraud are on the high side and if that cannot be controlled then it can't become the world currency. But widespread adoption is going to happen because it solves the need of remittance.

Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation
by
dutchkay
on 09/08/2018, 11:52:34 UTC
Regulations of bitcoin have been creating enough FUD in the bitcoin community. Now the bitcoin aim is to be decentralized creating a free money society away from government. Now why do we bother about regulation of bitcoin. I think that the last set of people that came to bitcoin lacked information on how it is supposed to work. How will they regulate bitcoin or ban it. Regulate from exchanges then other avenues will be creating means to use it. So regulating bitcoin will be kind of hard because it is decentralized.

Re: Bitcoin Airdrop?
by
dutchkay
on 09/08/2018, 08:04:22 UTC
Airdrop is not meaning less and was never meaning less. But bitcoin did not issued any airdrop. Nonetheless several other early projects started with airdrop and if you check coinmarketcap they are among the top 50 coins. Now airdrop spaced is already messed up, many people are seeing it as a way to dump and get quick money while the investors will now suffer. So presently not all airdrops have value. Some projects still make good use of it and it pays off. Besides the idea behind it is to give people the coins to start using. So airdrop is not just used by meaningless projects.

airdrop is meaningless. and it is used by these useless projects to get newbies to pay them a small attention for a while during the time when they are pumping the coin. otherwise there is no reason to give away money like that to get people to get in.
additionally airdrop is a method of distributing the supply for those coins/tokens that have 100% premine.

the early days of bitcoin was Satoshi mining bitcoin and some others like Hal Finey running a node and also mining bitcoin. then people saw the "idea" and got interested and started joining in little by little.
the pizza story that was mentioned above was years after that.

Re: My sweet and bitter experience about bitcoin
by
dutchkay
on 08/08/2018, 12:54:56 UTC
Same experience with mine. I became serious with bitcoin last year and have made quite a lot. Fast forward to December 2017 and I was feeling like a king. Looking at the few hundreds of investment I thrower in reached its peak and I was worth over 9k. Who wouldn't want to let it double again thinking that how's it should be going. Slow and steady but thanks to the CNN, that's why we are in this mess. Shilling bitcoin all over the news brought this mess upon us. We still would have been on a steady growth.

We all has stories to tell on the experience of 2017 December. It was so terrible that my account that  I saw in my wallet at that time was $9800 is now as we speak shrink to a little above $800.That is just a fact but am still holding because it is not yet a loss till I sell them off. December 2018 will soon be here.

Re: What will you do with the current market?
by
dutchkay
on 08/08/2018, 11:18:34 UTC
The recent bitcoin price is just a manipulation by top whales. Big names have succeeded in having control over its prices. Just like that Bitcoin is now controlled and manipulated which is not suppose to be so. The aim it was designed have been lost and we the users allowed it to be so. Why pay attention to those who don't like Bitcoin? Why pay attention to their statements and allow what they say affect the prices just with a single statement? Shame, and last I checked the price is already below 7000. What will I do with the current market you asked? Well I will be on the sideline observing.

Panicking is one thing about crypto that have been part of it. Imagine staring at your chunk of money while it goes to dust, while you watch as you get wrecked. So tell me, why won't you panicking. From 19k to 6k,and you just released that you bought at 18k, that is total us. So I say, don't blame those panicking, it's not easy to hold back such unless you are a tough nut to Crack.

Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market?
by
dutchkay
on 04/08/2018, 15:20:08 UTC
The question is straight forward and the answer is quite clear. Who dominates the market. Well I will say bitcoin today, Bitcoin tomorrow and bitcoin for the future. Looking at the market trend bitcoin controls the market. It decides what happens and how the alts behave. Take a look at the altcoins chart this minute you will see they are moving along side bitcoin direction. I don't believe there will be altcoin only world without bitcoin.
