Re: airdrop problems
by

As good as some airdrops are, so also many airdrops are nothing but waste of time and other resources. Imagine trying to do some works in getting a particular airdrop and at the end of the day when you get it, two years you're are still looking at it in your wallet without any hope of it listing on any exchange. In the other hands, some scammers create their own airdrops in order to obtain vital information about the participants, then defraud them. We need to exercise extra caution when we want to join any airdrop.

Re: Stake allocation
by

I have some concerns when it comes to stake allocation for signature campaign.  In many projects, more stakes are been allocated to full members and above. Junior members stake is always very RIDICULOUS. At times this used to discourage me. I participated in a bounty where legendary/hero members were given 35 stakes per week +avatar stakes while a junior member is given just one (1) stake per week, just imagine that!!! I want to urge bounty managers that those of us with junior members accounts are not beggars, we also contribute meaningfully to the progress of the bitcointalk community, so they should be fair on us too.  Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Know when to stop a HODL/HOLD

Definitely there is a limit for everything, we should learn to hold when it matters and at the same time we learn to sell when the condition is favourable to some extent.  It is the greed that is making some people to hold unnecessarily, they want to make a skyrocketing profits. Since when I've an horrible experience about too much holding, I've learnt to stop holding when at least I can get some little returns on investment or bounty rewards.

Re: Is product important for a project?

on 21/04/2019, 06:22:54 UTC
Project having a workable product is very good, this is even one of the criteria of choosing a good project though not always right, but a project with a product have more trust by investors than just anyone without.  When investors or end users look at the product or App developed by a particular project, they will be able to examine whether the it will be acceptable or worthy of investing in or not. Virtually all projects with a particular product they are developing are utterly dead today.

Re: Airdrop is more profitable than Social Media Bounty ?
by

on 21/04/2019, 06:11:09 UTC
I will not really conclude that one is more profitable than others, it all depends on season and the efficacy of the project. I have both participated in airdrops and social media bounty very well.  During the time when ICOs are still good, aidrops can make you minimally rich within a short period of time, I'm talking of middle and early 2017. However nowadays, it's only a few airdrops that comes with the project that someone can get small returns from, many airdrops are shit now, you will even get some of them, 1 or 2 years nowhere to be found on any exchange. In the other hand, social media bounties can pay if you jam the luck or found  a very good project. So to me, both of them have the time when they are good.

Re: Why do you have to take risks.
by

on 21/04/2019, 06:03:43 UTC
Every step or activity in life is all about one risk taking or the other, even sleeping and waking up is all about taking some levels of risk, let alone investment. There are risks in crypto so also other investment avenues. Whosoever that cannot take risk I don't think such a person can be successful in anything in life. Great investors and successful businessmen are risk takers. So in every step we are planning of taking, we should know that there are some amount of risk(s) associated with it, we just need to weigh the risks with the worth of such step, if the gain far outweighs the risks then we shouldn't be afraid and vice versa.

Re: Bounty Vs Trading
by
dutechman
on 20/04/2019, 21:41:09 UTC
As for me I do both together. I am a bounty hunter as well as an investor. When I was introduced to crypto, I started with investment through a friend that introduced me, then I started with around $200 then. That investment has yielded a lot for me and I have never regretted that. As times go on I starting doing bounty campaigns. Left to me, I prefer both bounty and trading, they can really complement each other.  Bounties could take longer time to bring returns depending on the nature of the project whereas trading, especially short term one could bring returns within a short period of time.

Re: Are you still hodl? Then we go to you!

Definitely I'm still holding a lot of coins in my wallet, 80% of which were from bounty campaigns. Market is not favourable to sell many of them at all, if I do it will just be like throwing them a way into the bin. However, I intentional reserved some coins because of good future I see in them, even if price is very high for them now, I don't plan selling them, I planned holding for a long time.

Re: KYC is simply just to cheat bounty hunters.
by

To a greater extent, KYC should not be for the bounty hunters. Even generally, KYC negates the anonymity nature of cryptocurrency. However, if KYC would be done by any project, I think it should be done for certain people holding a greater percent of the tokens, those holding negligible amount of it should not be unnecessary bothered with KYC.

Re: Most alts are worth Zero
by

Honestly even many alts are worth negative values. I have many alts in my wallet that are just useless, I'm even thinking of removing some of them completely because the more I see them the more I think I have treasure which is actually not. Many alts are as good as dead in the market. Many of their developers just want to develop something to get money from some people and forget about it; no product, no roadmap, no developmental plans.

Re: Do your research before investing in ICOs
by

on 19/04/2019, 07:00:56 UTC
It's very important to get some useful information in everything we want to invest in not even in crypto alone. Take time time to do a little findings about that ICOs because it can go along in saving you of some problems.
- check the telegram community and see how many people are interested in investing in such ICO
- check the website and see if they have product they are building on, if they do, how reliable it is
- read their white paper to see what the road map looks like
- follow crypto news from reliable sources
- it will also help if you tell a reliable friend or someone you trust that knows about crypto than you.

Re: Is Crypto A Way To become Rich / Millionaire ?
by
dutechman
on 19/04/2019, 06:54:19 UTC
Crypto is a potential way to make someone rich or a millionaire if the person can take the risk and be patience. However, there are some misconceptions about get rich in crypto, some think it is a a means of getting rich quick. This has made those to make wrong investment and at the end of the day they couldn't achieve their purpose of getting rich. So, crypto needs courage in risk taking, commitment and a lot of patience.

Re: KYC defeats the purpose of Crypto. Thoughts anyone?
by
dutechman
on 18/04/2019, 05:46:42 UTC
Of a truth this is not making sense, KYC should not in anyway be compulsory in crypto, it should be optional. Crypto transactions are done among individuals without physical contact, the goal is decentralization. Come to think of it, I don't know the identity of the company or whatever it may be I'm dealing with, why do they need to know mine. KYC should be optional in crypto it is not compulsory.

Re: Greed is bringing loss for traders
by
dutechman
on 18/04/2019, 05:38:43 UTC
That's definitely true, greed - an attempt to make huge amount of profit have caused a lot of loss to the traders. Some traders do not want to sell even at 20% gain on their investment probably they want 100%. I was once a victim of this in 2017. My investment appreciated by 400% instead of me to sell it and reinvest I left it, I seriously regretted that action. Investors should be careful of greed.

Re: Is product important for a project?
by
dutechman
on 08/04/2019, 08:00:36 UTC
Absolutely important, this is one of the ways of knowing project that are serious and worthy of investing in. A good project must have a product, it must have a particular problem aiming at solving by developing a product. Any project without a product is very risky investing in because the probability of it's failure would be high.
