Bitcoinorama, you have a very lengthy method of replying to questions which I am now thoroughly convinced is your way of ensuring you err on the side of over-communication.  I appreciate your sincerity and your efforts and I look forward to future responses from KNC.  Thanks and keep it up!

He answered not answering. Not everything has to be confirmed in public, he has no obligation for that - just factor everything on the analysis that leads to your own conclusion.

I'd like to add that IMO Bitcoinorama posted tons of valuable info for the whole community, and regardless of seeming a little "fanboy" or overenthusiastic at some times the videos and transcriptions are valuable, and both the questions provided by the community and kNC answers have been faithfully transmitted.

In that case, simply saying "I would prefer not to answer that question at this time." or "No comment." would be great too.

I possibly sounded more harsh than I intended to; I agree with you that Bitcoinorama has posted incredibly valuable information and regardless of the motivation I appreciate the depth of the effort.  I'm perhaps over-reacting as a result of observing disasters from other companies unfolding.  If I stepped on any toes, I apologize.

Thanks again,

A.C.

Bitcoinorama, no harsh feelings: did you receive a free unit or not?

I guess if they offered it to you they would have asked for you to not disclose the fact, so let's keep it simple for everybody: if they indeed gave you a free unit, just ignore this post. If they didn't, just reply: "no, I was never given or promised a free unit"

I certainly asked them not to ship any early devices to media, bloggers, etc. over real customers, like BFL did.

I, like many others, greatly appreciate your report and the time you have invested into it.  Can you please answer Rampion's question with a yes or no answer?  Did you receive a free or discounted KNC unit of any kind for any reason from any source, or a promise of the same?

Your credibility and transparency will be rewarded. Smiley  Just curious,

I purchased a Nexus 4 phone from grndzero  and the communication was top-notch.  You can see the original for-sale posting here and the log of the transaction was here on the newbie forum because I was not yet able to post in the main forums at the time.

This was a fantastic example of how to process a sale with public communication and I will be following this model myself if I ever sell anything, although I can't think of what I have that anyone would want (unless you're interested in 10 broken Xbox 360's in various states of functionality Smiley.

Thanks again!

Sale thread here due to buyer being stuck in the newbie queue.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190435.msg1982269#msg1982269

I've updated that thread, pasted here for completeness:

We received the phone as described today and it works fine.  The only challenging part was we had to go to T-Mobile and switch to the newer, smaller SIM card but they switched it out for free and my wife is now up and running on her new phone.

Thanks for the fast shipping and great communication!

Yep, that's how I do business to protect both sides. Public log of transaction verified at each stage and plenty of copies of critical details in pm's in case the deal goes sideways.

Plus it's and good excuse for dwangoac to get his post count up and prove he's legit to the community. Smiley

Agreed, and I greatly appreciate it!  I was going to move the conversation over to the original thread now that I can post there but I'll keep the commentary here for now.  I'll likely post there as well once I receive the phone just to close the circle, however.

Tracking number pm'd.

I've confirmed that the phone is in transit based on the tracking number provided.  I'll post again once we've received it.

Thanks!

Bah, it was two simple digits and I somehow typo'ed them.  Make that 12.

Edit: Or you might qualify by the end of this process.

I should have enough posts by then, but it seems that there's a separate 4 hour activity requirement and it's a stickler about what it considers activity.  Oh well.

Thanks for the reply,

Agreed upon payment received.

I sent grndzero an amount of BTC we agreed on - I'll let grndzero confirm the amount that was received as needed, then I'll reply acknowledging the acknowledgement, and then I'll be at 4 posts so I can reply to the original thread to complete the circle.  I completely understand the need to filter new users but it can be a bit cumbersome sometimes. PM'd you willing to sell a new one for that price.

Thanks a ton for the offer!  I was contacted a few seconds ago by grndzero and I'll be going that route.  We may hijack this thread to publicly discuss the sale.

Oldsport, thanks again for contacting me and I'm sorry it didn't work out getting it from you.

Greetings,

I see from this post from grndzero that a 16 GB Nexus 4 is available for the BTC equivalent of $400 and i would like to buy it for my wife.  I see that it's possible to send a PM after 1 message so I'll attempt to do that after posting this but if someone sees this and can have grndzero contact me I'd appreciate it.  Alternately, if you or someone you know has a Nexus 4 16 GB GSM phone you'd be willing to sell please let me know.  Thanks!
