I had a power blip at the house for a split second and the miner did not like it. It was in shutdown mode with the high fan. Any way to have it auto restart? Nothing else in the house was reset.

well. I should not have mentioned how well my Apollo II was working. I flashed the SD card to the latest version and the node won't start. Getting "Invalid params, response status code: 401 -32602". any thoughts?

Hello ALL!!!  Cheesy

With the BTC Halving, how are your mining results?

Thank you

I use the SOLO mining feature, as it seems post-halving you'd need pretty near 5cents or less total kWh cost to slightly profit at current prices.  My power is 22cents per kWh so I'm not even close really.  I don't run my older Apollo BTC (1st model) currently because its even less efficient, but I will maybe in the winter when I could use the extra heat.

I'm getting 5.85 TH/s (32 watts-per-TH/s) on ECO mode, I wouldn't want to run it higher than that because of the noise.  I get about a 1/700,000 chance of mining a solo block in a day with just the Apollo 2 in ECO mode.

My only complaints with it at the moment are:  software's still pretty early, missing a lot of needed features in the web GUI (like even individual control of the Apollo miners) - had a lot of hurdles in the setup, having trouble getting RDP into the full linux GUI (Ubuntu/Gnome) to work still. Node and miner aren't that stable so far, one or the other seem to hang or crash every other day or so, so far - hope that was mostly during, and due to, the few-day blockchain sync, though it has happened a couple times since then as well.

HDMI output and WiFi on the Apollo 2 are not great so far, really hoping those can be majorly improved compatibility-wise.  None of the monitors I have at the moment work, and the wifi is very finnicky and you need a separated 2.4 GHz network for it (basically, the Apollo 2 won't work with a modern wifi setup, at least as most come by default these days, like using a single SSID for all wavelengths, etc)

Have you done a reflash to the latest image 2.0.4 release? This fixes many of these issues (OTA update to 2.0.4 wont bring in some changes we did to the underlying OS so suggest anyone that received a unit with 2.0.2 or 2.0.3 reflash their SD cards to the latest release).

Going forward all updates will be OTA so you should not need to reflash again.

Can you remind me where to get the latest image? I was on 2.0.3 and did an OTA update.

Hopefully will be receiving my Apollo ii soon.  Seeing all the comments about wifi issues.  As someone who isn't too technical.  If I have a wifi extender that allows for input of an ethernet cable, would that fix any potential wifi issues I may have?

Thats what I'm using and no issues at all. Mining against my own full node with a second unit as well.  Smiley

I just like to say my two miners are running rock solid and I'm also using wireless with now issues. Both run issue free and only restart when I choose to. I know some say an auto-restart would be nice but I've not seen the need. I will say the second miner I ordered has a error rate of 2.4% while my first is only 0.3% but performance seems ok and the error rate goes down if I run in balanced mode

Hi.  I had been connected by ethernet.  I went to connect to wifi.  The wifi password kept coming back as invalid (although I know 100# it was entered correctly). Now I am unable to connect to the dashboard any more.  I al also no longer connected to the pool.  When I try to connect to the IP address of the miner, I receive a message that I am unable to connect.  I powered the miner down, the ethernet cable is still connected, but no luck logging back on.  Any suggestions?
check your router. if you did not reserve the IP address the miner probably got a new IP address

Any update on when these bad boys will be shipping out to customers? I thought last I heard it was November so I’m just curious if we’re getting close or if I misunderstood something. Really hoping to have these up and running before the end of the year. It’s starting to get cold outside so it’s either this or the fireplace. Would rather stack sats then burn wood.  Smiley
According to the email we got today
“Currently we are still on track to ship everyone's order that ordered on the 31st of August in December, and we expect most orders will ship by end of the year. Some orders placed at the tail end of the Pre-Order might slip into January, but we will update everyone again once production starts at the end of this month.“

I restored my configuration from a backup.  The node is up and downloading the blockchain.  The miner is up, but inactive and the original pool information seems to be stuck in the settings, despite changing to my new one.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Try restarting in the miner software. Seems a hard restart sometimes does not restart right

Why would running Apollo full node not work out? Internet run out or what?  Cheesy

the grandson kept messing with it so my daughter-in-law unplugged and put on top of fridge. they have small apartment and no where to keep it safe

I have two full package Apollos and would like to know how I can disable the controller in one so I can control both with one HDMI monitor, keyboard. etc...

Thanks

You can just remove the harness cable from the hashboard, then plug that unit via USB to your other unit. Thats a waste of a full node though...

rebooted my two miners today and both not showing stats and says inactive in web GUI?. Strange as these have been running just fine for the last couple months. But solo.ckpool shows they are actively mining. Both on 0.3.1 firmware. The node status still shows up too

Just an FYI if John still working on a fix

Full Apollo BTC package arrived a little over a week ago. Was up and running within minutes. It’s been mining smoothly ever since, but I’ve yet to have any success getting the node started up.

When I go to the node dashboard and click the start button, it says “please wait while the node is starting up” and indicates that this should take 5-15 minutes. This is as far as I’ve gotten though—eventually, after ~30 minutes it just cycles back to the original “node is offline” page with a start button. .

I’ve tried a dozen or so times and the same thing has happened each time. Also rebooted a couple times and triple-checked the instructions and haven’t been able to resolve the problem. I haven’t heard of anyone else having this issue and I’m wondering if I’m missing something.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Try reseating the node drive (power down, take out and reinsert)

Hopefully they'll be some standard hashboard only units left awhile. Saving up to buy another one later this month  Smiley

Has anyone tried adding 3 stand alone units to one controller?

Yes no problems
Nice setup. Would you mind sharing build details? Parts used?

Finally tried out some of the other modes on the Apollos in the last few days.
Had a very delightful and surprising discovery.

In Eco mode....  I was getting 2 th/s @ 76w per th/s
in Balanced mode.. I get  2.5 th/s @ 64w per th/s    Shocked

So, not sure why but balanced mode actually offers better wat per wat performance for me.
Also, it was a more substantial hashrate increase than I expected too, with 25% performance gains over eco.

So, if your out there just chillin on ECO with your miners, I recommend trying out the other settings and seeing what you get.

Thanks for the suggestion. Mine also similar results but I also noticed less errors. My second miner was showing more errors than the first miner. But changed to balanced and they now about the same.
