Re: Not all new project team can afford top exchanges
by

on 21/06/2020, 22:39:41 UTC
The exchanges have become greedy middlemen. I think to list a coin at Binance you have to pay them 2 million dollars, or some ridiculous number like that. It just feels like such a waste, money that should go into the project. Bitcoin in the beginning wouldn't had been able to listed in the begining.

Re: Why people are calling projects as scam when they are in a bear market?
by

It's basically now a term for a project that it's no good and you will lose your investment. Like a scam. But yeah, too many people use the term loosely.

Have you contacted them? How much money did you have in your account? This is why you should not keep all your coins in an exchange, even though I'm not following my own advice. Poloneix is a top exchange which is why I'm asking if you contacted them, since they should be able to help you out.

Can't think of any such website. You can try to contact a local artist who can draw and scan something for you.

I've been burned big time back when I was more of a noob, that's why I stay away from trading. I try to focus more on investing instead of putting money here, then there and hoping that I will succeed.

Re: How can bounty hunters reclaim their respect?
by
dx5
on 13/07/2019, 21:32:53 UTC
Bounty hunting can be a mess for the projects involved. They have to deal with so many cheats, bad quality posts, then the cheats complaining about not getting their share, and so on. It's a whole mess.

Re: Wallet hacking is it possible?
by

on 27/06/2019, 21:25:39 UTC
The one thing that I try to stay aware of is if a newer version of a wallet that I downloaded is valid. The potential that an unfriendly party hacked the site and put in their own version with modified code. That's something to always be aware of. That's why I often don't update unless it's mandatory.

What's the future for Sirius? I remember there was so much promise when the air drop started. I was beyond excited since the dev seemed very experience.

Fiat will always be here. I'm speaking of the US, it's just hard to get hundreds of millions of people to accept that. Specially when it's all they've known.

⭐ Merited by xtraelv (1)
I've been here since 2014, and whenever there's a scam I'm always glad that the ANN threads are not deleted. They serve as a good teaching source. Sometimes I go back and go through the "Real Stack Coin," scam and read on how excited the people were until the dev announced that it was scam, rubbing it in with a party gif.

I don't see any need to ban a scammer, because then they'll create another account anyway. And I doubt anyone will trust them again. The guy that you talked about has a -241 rating.

As you can see the past few days, it wasn't the end, because you can get in at much cheaper right now. It's not too late because we are far from all time high. One could make the argument that maybe it was too late a few months ago, but that's no longer the case.

Re: PROMOTING YOUR ICO ON BITCOINTALK
by
dx5
on 09/08/2018, 02:06:50 UTC
Sounds pretty unethical, something that a legit ICO would not dare touch with a 20 foot pole. Imagine a serious team getting caught doing business with someone who will use multiple accounts to create FAKE buzz about their ICO, so that the people who reads this fake hype will be duped into investing into this ICO.

Re: Don't go to ICO!i was cheated again!

I'm so upset recently! I took part in a project called VEGA at the beginning of the year! It's mainly for AI trading! But after ICO, there was no such thing as the second largest exchange they had ever said, and there was no progress in the so-called A project, and there was no one in the telegraph group to manage it. This project now seems to have no hope, so here I appeal to everyone, do not participate in ICO activities! Because there are so many liars! You can't tell which project is real!
 Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

I've kind of left ICOs behind. But there are still ways where to know whether an ICO is legit or not. For example the team and whether they have experience with the development of another coin, and thus a reputation. Such a reputation would tell you if you can trust them or not. If it's a new person in the field, then I wouldn't trust them.

Re: IS ETHERDELTA SAFE?
by
dx5
on 01/08/2018, 22:29:50 UTC
EtherDelta is safe. The only real issues that I know of happened a few months ago where a third party intercepted their website or something, and so they were able to steal the private keys of people who at that time tried to import their wallet into the platform.

So for that reason it’s best to always go to their Twitter when you need to log on, since they will report any such issues as soon as they find out about it.

So I guess it’s not all that safe in that sense, but such things are rare and part of growing pains.

Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed

Some news/updates came from developers as far as i can see, so we can say that the sirius project is not deserted or dumped(at least yet), i checked my blockfolio they have some value still and the updates started again, bull season is coming. So good things is next i think?

I could tell that they have no plans of dumping it, since they are actively working on it. And scammers just behave a little differently. I just wish they had someone from the team to engage with the community.

And what about phase two? It was supposed to happen back in February.

Many people have learned their lesson after Bitcoin dumped when it reached $20,000, and that's that you have to take profit. I could easily see it at around $15,000 or $16,000 by the end of the year, so long as it's a steady rise. Then perhaps a year later $25,000.

Re: Would you do KYC for a bounty hunt?
by
dx5
on 19/07/2018, 02:07:30 UTC
If an ICO decided to ask me for KYC information after the bounty was over, I would look at it as a scam, and as a coin that has no future.

The reason why I would look at it as a scam is because if scammers wanted to get your information, they know that most people are not going to send them their personal information and join their bounty campaign. But when they pull that shit after the fact, a good amount of those people will be vulnerable because they spent all that time working for the bounty, and will sent them the information during such a weak moment, situation.

Re: Do we Need Altcoin?

We have a lot of shit coins out there solving no real problems. like I remember a scam called GPU coin, to buy GPUs. I mean why would you need a coin to buy one type of item. Why not coffee coin?

But we also have a lot of good coins. Privacy coins, eth, and many other good cases. Why should they not exist? So that your Bitcoin could be worth $50,000 and you benefit?
