Re: Russian army that never been in Ukraina bring back some trophy to Russia ... LoL
by

As far as I am aware, no one debates the fact that Russians have been fighting in Ukraine, what is debateable is if the Russian army has been fighting in Ukraine (whilst on duty, thus paid to do so by Russia)

It's not quite as easy to define as you would think!

That may be true but heavy equipment that is being used by the separatists is Russian. Also Putin in a interview for the Russian tv admitted that Russian army was involved in taking over the Crimea

Re: Bitcoin or gold?
by

Bitcoin is going to dominate the world financial system in next 12 months. It price can reach up to 10000$/bitcoin . Bitcoin is the most important invention of last 500 years. You will see bitcoin's units not even mbtc will be traded equal to 1$.
I would go for Bitcoin than Gold in modern era.

As much as I admire Your enthusiasm, I don't think that this will happen. As for "mots important invention (...)" if it wasn't for PC and later Internet there wouldn't be Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency Wink

Re: What if US Dollar Crashes?

If dollar crashes then one of two will happen in my opinion: either other currencies like euro yuan yen etc. will rise high or they will fall with dollar. The same goes for bitcoin, today global economy binds currencies all aver the world

Re: Did Allied troops rape 285,000 German women in WWII?
by

I know feminist talking about rape is the most annoying thing ever, but she does have some truth. In war there is always opportunity to take advantage of the weak, and rape is pretty much the result of scared innocent civilians facing men with guns. No doubt was there rape in WW2.

No one is denying that soldiers were raping in WW2 across the globe but the question is: Did Allied troops rape 285 000 German women?
I'm not going to discuss if feminist is annoying or not but its about the scale and the method that Dr Gebhardt used to measure the rape occurrence

Re: Yuan to Be the World’s 5th Reserve Currency?
by
dzambodzetem
on 28/03/2015, 13:34:48 UTC
There are still very few people outside China having yuans in their wallet. I don't see this changing before years.

To be reserve currency Yuan doesn't need to be in peoples wallets. Reserve currency is about governments keeping significant quantities of currency as part of their foreign exchange reserves.
From Wikipedia:
"People who live in a country that issues a reserve currency can purchase imports and borrow across borders more cheaply than people in other nations because they don't need to exchange their currency to do so."

But there is a question of Chinese government maintains capital controls on the conversion of its currency

Re: Why isn't Peercoin more popular?
by
dzambodzetem
on 28/03/2015, 12:45:50 UTC
Well everyone is always looking for greener pastures lol. Most people in crypto wanna get rich quick, Peercoin has been around for a long time and no one is getting rich from it. Since it is unlikely that the price will suddenly spike and take everyone to the moon, people simply gradually move to newer coins that can keep their dreams alive  Smiley

If so then bitcoin is probably going to die because people will move to a newer coins? Hmm.. I think bitcoin is already established enough to survive. Also preecoin wasn't recognizable and still isn't, where bitcoin is already knocking on doors of many virtual services, and is being recognized by people that usually don't give a crap about cryptocurrency

Re: N.Korea claims to use nukes at any time
by

on 28/03/2015, 08:43:37 UTC
N.Korea is only talking ... the great powers such as Us Russia etc have the country under control in my opinion .

I think that mr. Putin wouldn't be too concerned if N.Korea launches a missile against USA Wink

But as far as N.Korea and her nuclear threats I think its all about forcing some negotiations about sanctions and food aid. The country is very poor and with technological backwardness they have all sorts of problems. Also to keep people of N.Korea under regime Kim Jong Un must always find some imaginary threats. That way people are willing to sacrifice themselves for the nation and their leader.

1. Who will win Malaysian GP?                                          - my answer - Hamilton
2. Witch team will score most points?                                - Ferrari
3. Who will be the first driver to crash in a tomorrows race?  - Maldonado aka Crashtor Wink
4. How many drivers won't be able to finish the race?           - 5

Re: Did Allied troops rape 285,000 German women in WWII?
by

There is a saying "he who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind". Nazi started the World War II so in a way they are responsible for what happened later to many nations. And I'm not talking only about raping and killing but also for destruction of many cites, art pieces, and so on. Of course what nazi had started is no excuse for raping done by Allied troops.
285,000 raped women seems like a lot, so i'm not totally convinced it was so high number. The method that Dr Gebhardt used is highly implausible.

Basically they write that the were intimidated and one of the workers was beaten up, there were loads of bad words, emails and calls with threats. Somebody was not happy that something like Bitcoin Embassy was working. The creators of that embassy got scared and decided to back off and close the place.
