Hi I had a few DGB from years ago. I got version 6.14.2.0 and got all synced. Now I put my old wallet.dat file into the folder and the rescanning process when the client first loads up is taking ages and still at "1%". Any idea how long this should take and if there is a faster way?
No there is no faster way,it should take apx 24hrs ..but once its synced its lighting fast ....

Thanks for the update bholzer. You guys sounds like you are working very hard - that amazing given you don't even have a premine. Crypsy is very unfortunate, but those guys have been sketchy from their launch. Have you thought about shifting focus to mintpal or something of the like.

These are some great ideas on how to leverage the gaming community to promote the coin. A well structured and dedicated multi gaming clan would do wonders for this coin.
What I don't understand is why people are buying this coin on poloniex NOW for over the .001 IPO price when they could buy directly from OP for .001... I think I am not understanding something about this coin.

It will be live after block 6499 which is in approximately 16 hours. Coins mined solo won't get accepted after that block has been done.

As long as you don't use your old wallet you are fine as the pools will give the coins to the correct blockchain. Just make sure you wipe the old blockchain before using the new wallet after updating.

I actually wish I had a few BTC right now to bust through these walls and get the price manipulators out of the game.
Not everyone who is selling large amounts is a 'price manipulator'. I got in early on vertcoin and was able to grab about 3k vert with only 3mhs hash power. I dumped these when vertcoin first started to get popular and the price was high. I definitely wasn't a 'manipulator.' Just trying to minimize my risk and sell the coins while they had worth. THat might be what you are seeing with these walls - just redistribution of the coins, which is good for the coin.

is there something wrong with this coin? i was also soloing for a bit and didn't find anything. Even this pool finds 0 blocks while the difficulty is low. Whats up?

you threads are set to high. this mining n-factor tends to require lower threads. try lowering your "thread-concurrency" : "xxxx" in settings.
