looks like we are in the same boat.

both clocked at 250 MHz. one is consistent 490-500G, the other unit 450-470G. all chips are 0000 and HW error is also very low.

yes, I have read it and to be honest it's quite difficult  Huh Huh I'm pretty sure the guide is just to enter the failsafe mode, not reviving the entire antminer firmware. Right now, I have yet to enter the failsafe mode.

Hi,

I think the Antminer S1 controller has bricked during the flashing process. Well I did not do anything wrong, download from bitmain, upload and verified successfully, wait, but it takes forever to complete while waiting to the luci UI to appear (well, it never appear though...). During that time I noticed the rx/tx LAN port flashing behaviour is no longer normal. orange LED no longer light up and it keep on disconnect/connect (the router link LED is on and off).

tried to follow the failsafe

http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/generic.failsafe

but the green LED on the board does not show any sign of failsafe mode. after the flashing, the green LED is not flashing rapidly even with the reset button to initiate the failsafe.

Any successful unbrick controller? I need a proper guide.  Huh Huh

Hi,

recently tried to update the latest firmware from bitmain support. I waited closed to 10 minutes during the flashing process, but the luci web ui did not showed up (the user login/password stuff) as it should be.

During the flashing and now, I noticed the LAN port LED (rx tx), only the green LED is working but it blinks in 5 secs interval then off, on and off.

now I cannot ping or communicate at all to the miner.

Any ways to revive than control board? I think the firmware files from bitmain was corrupted.

I think my antminer s1 control board is faulty. recently upgrade the new firmware from bitmain support, wait close to 10 minutes but still, the luci interface did not pop up as usual (username and stuff to login).

tried reset using the small button, still not work. now I cannot ping or communicate to my antminer s1 since the lan port led on and off about 5 seconds interval.

any ways to revive back the control board? i think the firmware files from the bitmain was corrupted.

Hi,

My avalon wont mine once it a while even after a soft reboot. The only to start mining is to switch off and ON again. Any ideas? Tried updating the firmware but still the same

I'm using cooler master 700 g series 80 Plus Bronze for Overclock Antminer S1. once in a while (3-4 days) it shuts off without any reason. Temp is around 42-44.  Huh

I tried flashing various version of Avalon 2 firmware. the working one is

http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/avalon/20131229/

the latest from canaan wont work. it wont start hashing (socket failed). but i can ping/traceroute with no packet loss

what have been done so far.

a) flashing newest firmware, various version firmware - cannot work
b) using stock clock 1300 - cannot work, so I suspect the overclock (1400) issue/ heat is not the problem. after all the temp around 23-26C.
c) connect using wifi disable lan, connect with lan disable the wifi - cannot work

right now using http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/avalon/20131229/ firmware. it hash, but I cannot guarantee it will last forever. normally 2-3 days it will stop hashing, but recently it hardly hash for 12 hours.

before this

a) hash for 2-3 days. when it stop hashing, on/off required to resume. soft reboot wont work

now

a) hash for around hours but I able to start hash again with only soft reboot. no need on/off after using

http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/avalon/20131229/

I can share using teamviewer if anyone interested to investigate. i read the log but I cannot understand entirely  Huh Huh Huh

I mean is it possible that you PSU could be failing, Have you been monitoring the temps, it could be also that the unit is shutting the hashing units down due to over heating

the unit is in server room. Temp less than 30C. I checked the cgminer log, when it stop hashing it says socket connect failed: Connection refused. If I on/off again the miner, it will hash. If I'm lucky it can hash about 2-3 days non stop. later on it stop hashing. and the log says socket connect failed: Connection refused

Diagnostic ping/traceroute are all ok. no packet loss

I have upgrade the firmware to the latest one. this is Avalon 2 55nm

my avalon once in a while stop hashing as well (2-3 days or sometimes once in 5 days). FW version 3.10.12. reboot cannot make it work, the only way to start hashing by disconnecting the power supply and switch it on again. is it FW issues?

It could be a Firmware issue but it is Hard to Say

updated to the latest firmware. but still after 2-3 days it stop hashing. I need to on/off the supply to get it start hashing again. soft reboot just not work. any possibilities on the power supply issues? the unit comes with cooler master ex2 625w for 2 units
