Re: [WARNING] Walton Chain (WTC) is a SCAM
by

Without any shadow of a doubt, WTC is a scam.

Get out while you can!

There is no reliable record of the team i.e. linking them and their experience to the project.
Try and find evidence linking the supposed former VP of Samsung to Samsung and the project.

This forum and Reddit is full of very blatant WTC shills. The comments on Reddit are beyond belief.

Listed on only one exchange, with a relatively small number of tokens (compared to similar projects) the price looks like it is being manipulated.

They are pretending to win a competition that does not exist. The "Jinjiang Competition" - there is no reliable source for this whatsoever. This is an unverified/fake news http://www.kinews.net/news/articleView.html?idxno=110897
Seriously, they have just won a major competition - logos stuck on t-shirts, with a dodgy banner outside a sports centre. I've been to plenty of award ceremonies and competition results, this is a joke.

The website is poorly developed. If these people are serious/investable why can't they design a website or t-shirts. And it's called Walton coin. Serious business people would be much, much slicker than this.

I suspect a lot of effort has gone into making this appear credible but it isn't. Some people have seen big returns this week and are talking about market cap increase to $1billion+ and are dismissing my point of view with comments like "ah, well, things are lost in translation. they all have similar names and everyone is VP at Samsung. Western news would not cover the competition" etc.

You have been warned!

My only interest is for good people not to lose money.

For the record, my investments are: Waves, Wagerr, Zcoin, District0X, ARK and Monero.

I have no conflicts of interest and nothing to gain from this post.

Re: Walton Chain (WTC) hits the jackpot!

After hiring some actors, making them pretend to win a fictitious award, getting them to pretend to be a project team by reading off cue boards and pretending to have support from the Chinese Government...

... and despite being unable to design a decent website or show any evidence of a working product or any code...

... it is truly miraculous that Walton Chain has:

Improved the distribution efficiency of some major Chinese companies by almost 100% and tripled the inventory efficiency in their stores!

Quote
Up to now, many companies such as Tries, Joeone, SMEN in the apparel industry, Kehua, Lipson plastic in the manufacturing industry and Xiangyu group in the warehouse industry have applied for our WTC & RFID integration system. What is impressive is that all of them have benefited a lot by integrating our system! Compared to before integration, their yield rate has increased by 1.2%, the stock turnover increased by 5.8%, the distribution efficiency has improved by almost 100%, and the inventory efficiency almost tripled in their stores.

https://www.reddit.com/r/waltonchain/comments/73j7z4/waltonchain_first_ama_questions_answers/

Unlike many other projects, there is a major breakthrough almost every day.

Remarkable. I am definitely going to buy some WTC. By this time next month, they will have taken over the world and colonised Mars!

Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC

I've gone into more detail in another post.

In summary: poorly designed website, copy and paste mistakes in the white paper, unable verify the team, cannot verify their claims about contracts and Chinese government support, no evidence of work/productivity (github), controlling too many coins, fake news stories, unconvincing "team" photos and videos (the CEO comes across as a budget actor struggling to read a cue card - you can see the shadow of the cue card), hired a privacy service (associated with numerous scams) to hide the domain registration details, aggressive shills that boot people from Slack & Reddit for asking reasonable questions, pressure tactics (buy more for a master node before it's too late [or we do a runner]), obviously paid shills on twitter and Reddit (hype comments with little substance) etc.

Nothing about it feels right.

I've probably spent far too much time talking about these things.

I strongly suspect that Walton Chain is a scam.

At best, as you say, a very amateurish team and, in my opinion, recklessly hyping and overpromising.

Would a team of experienced individuals, including a form VP of Samsung, be this amatuer?

Either way, I'd be very surprised if a product materialises.

$180,000,000 market cap with no product, no tangible evidence of work and many unsubstantiated claims.

The shills are hyping and talking about a market cap of $1billion this year.

I feel I have a duty to express my concern.

WTC looks like very interesting project  Shocked I hope that team won't fu*k up the potential!

Walton is already on Binance, are there any plans to get this into some other exchanges? Like bittrex, livecoin or even cryptopia?

Don't worry there is too much at stake for the team to fuck up...

why does this keep falling? most of the coins began recovering, but wtc still looks negative. Is there any news?

Is the hype over now? What do youu think?

Whales and the fact that the team doens't actively promote the token.

Re: Thought experiment

I also thought about DNA but like many people mentioned it would be very expensive.

Than I thought about a system that could monitor different parameters (IP, IBAN, Computer, Smartphone, location, language...) that would remain secret. When the system would detect that someone is using 2 wallets it would destroy those 2 wallets. Making it counterproductive claiming more than one wallet. But I don't think such system is possible because it would be very complex and it could give many false positives.

The reason for this thought experiment is that I think wealth is not fairly distributed (duh) and a 'universal coin' could maybe reduce this problem (remember this is a thought experiment). Even with bitcoin (please don't be buthurt) people that join later have a big disadvantage and the biggest reasons for this is are: they didn't hear about it or couldn't access it or the price is to high for them. Giving everyone access to this 'universal coin' would partially solve those problems. Maybe with a staking system they could even have a sort of interest (like a saving account).

Thought experiment
by

I was having a kind of thought experiment...

Let's say that you create a new crypto-currency. Before the creation of the first genesis block you create 25 billion wallets with each 1 coin in it. The purpose of this would be that anyone on earth, could claim his 1 coin at anytime.

My question:

How would you prevent that someone claims more than 1 wallet?

PS: I didn't incorporate more details because this is not necessary for the question at hand.
