what api do you recommend to convert fiat to crypto. my website offers membership plans $10/mo or $100/yr.  I'd like to display the amount that should be sent in crypto to the generated address

Python library for bitcoin / altcoins
by

Is there a python package that is a wrapper for the bitcoind / client that can generate addresses with requested amounts so I can build my own payment system?  And would it work for alt coins as well? Litecoin, xmr, zcash etc. any recommendations?

Re: Best API service for accepting Crypto payments?

any more suggestions?

can btcpayserver support eth?

what if i want to accept eth? out of all the coins i settled for btc ltc xmr and eth

im not to keen on self hosted. i don't want to run a full node. just those 4 coins would consume a lot of resources.

i don't mind third party. i would withdraw my payments daily.

Other than BitPay what is the top API service to accept BTC, LTC, XMR, and ETH payments? I want to completely integrate it in my website without the user ever leaving my website. Just need to generate an address and display the amount to the user.  It must very reliable and fast.

I currently use Plisio.net but sometimes it just takes too long to generate the addresses especially for XMR.

is there something like https://bitnodes.io/ that has a method to test if my node is available to the public?

how would i perform this test through a shell command? that would be a better option.

I have a litecoin node i'd like to test to make sure is accessible publicly. i also want to test my dogecoin and monero node

Re: why was bitcoin written in C++ instead of pure C?

I think the OP asked about C, and C++ ... not c# which is totally different. For the most part, the performance of C and C++ are almost identical in most cases if you were not to use the Object Orientated features(like  inheritance, classes, templates, and some others). C# is a high level level language and not really comparable with either of the above, it's level of abstraction is probably on par with Python.

Seriously though, try implementing a linked list or hash table in C. And then again for your second and third project. Then you will see why everyone uses STD for this kind of stuff.

There is only so much you can implement without using classes, if you don't want to fill up your program with messy structures and pointers like in the Linux kernel. It makes for an unmaintainable mess.

makes sense. thank god he didn't use java...

@ETFbitcoin thanks for the link.  I went with bisq's bitcoin nodes.  Anyone else interested can find them in the code here:

https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq/blob/5a8731c8a5e9e18e256c9df71a0d22caccfb602f/core/src/main/java/bisq/core/btc/nodes/BtcNodes.java#L47

From my assessment the individuals that host these nodes seem trustworthy and reliable.  You can inspect their GitHub profiles & history if you wish.

Trusted tor fallback nodes?
by
ekiro
on 16/12/2018, 23:05:49 UTC
I setup a RaspiBolt (full core & lightning node) and would like to make them fully anonymous with tor.

I plan on turning off DNS lookups (dnsseed=0, dns=0) but that requires me to manually enter very reliable and trustworthy tor fallback nodes.

I'd like a minimum of 2 but the more the better.

Can anyone provide me with a list of highly reliable and trustworthy tor fallback nodes?  Preferably from core developers.

I found these 2 and the person said they were from core developers.  I don't know who but if anyone can confirm it would be very nice of you!
