I get your point about wanting assurance that a website is trustworthy, but discounting websites created by anyone 18 is the wrong filter for that.

Any number of business agreements would be good candidates for this too. A freely traded market value would be easy to confirm, but I wonder about values from an independent auditor. I like the idea of the result from the oracle not being open to debate.

Nonsense. In Canadian law, you cannot enter into an agreement with a minor. If he is under 18 anything you are sending to him is his, and he has no legal liability to give it back.
Are you making up or have you just misread something? A minor, or anyone with diminished mental capacity, can more easily get out of a contract if it becomes clear they were taken advantage of, but that doesn't mean you can't enter into an agreement with a minor. Now for an example, I am a US citizen, I try to get in to Canada, they run my name through the computer system that they have access to US's computer systems, they ask if i have any criminal record, yea, I have a dui, they run my name find the dui, other records pop up from 1996, Paraphernalia and Grand theft auto, which I was never convicted of, but the records still show the reports. I get denied. But the murderer is able to get in because the US or Canadian computer systems don't have access to his country's computer systems because "they might be a poor country and or don't keep record". This is all as an example.

I'm a developer.(I don't think the forum is short of them) Why dont you keep the lead on what a bond front end would do, and then we can design how to do it. We shouldn't need the development subsidized, but bonds.glbse.com would be better than bonds.ripper234.com

The funny thing about that SA thread is that the amount of spent mocking bitcoins has exposed many of them to how they work. The focus eventually became less on bitcoins, and more on the forum and the posters here.

It seems like there should be some value just in properly creating the mechanics of a bond. I would think there would be a way to integrate it with GLBSE, not by investing with companies but by having the bond payout be in shares at market value for a GLBSE security.
My suggestion would be to use the money from your bond to set up a website that handles creating bonds.

Set expectations properly. Explain the fees. People don't mind paying the fee, they just don't like "surprise" fees that they don't understand.

I actually tried to explain there were fees once. No such thing as a free lunch, even in Bitcoin utopia. I got some smart ass reply about being a sheep to the credit card companies. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Buying bitcoins in Canada is already fairly quick. It took me about an hour the first time. direct from bank account to cavirtex via email. The transfer cost is higher though: $1.50
can US citizens use it?
