I dont think it was intended as a scam i was more then once in a position where deals that were about to be signed and be good for both parties failed due to various reasons.
i dont see what BCTS could have gained from destroying the deal publicly he could have said alot of different things if this was a scam to keep things going and maximize profit  further more the price peaked a few days before this announcement  and i didn't  see a huge dump from the big wallets .
i was number  4 - 6 on the list most times holding about 10k - 25k coins at various points all the bigger wallets remained the same for most of the time .

i agree with what some people said earlier about looking bad , or too good to be true.

also what strikes me as most bizarre is why comment at all if this is a scam he would disconnect and be done with it , and i have yet to see a scam with the owner being an active forum member with so many posts .

anyway ive sent the dev a message saying that i just want to hear his thoughts regarding the future of the coin if he wants to continue ill support him.

i have faith in you and your coin , i agree that this is the way things are people are so hurt by previous scams ..

i'm invested in about 4 btc in shopx i think this coin is the only coin that delivered all the way from start to finish ill see this through .

that is an awesome suggestion ... i am the wiser man after this coin so many people just not giving a F*** about other people money seriously the dev didnt get enough money to cover his time for sure with the price being dirt cheap from the get go .. this is just sad all around .

Dev have heart to say its over if you cant make it happen ... you dont seem like a scammer there was no real profit in this coin to be had in the short time it was on C-CEX

you made the big investment already now you only risk the costs of electricity .
even if the cost is high it is worth the risk since you already paid for the gear and no one will buy it as you stated ..
as i see it this is the smartest move
try selling it bit by bit to reduce your risk not at less then 50% of the cost however meanwhile keep mining try to focus on new coins that look promising and wait for the next price rise if it will come ..

good luck man i joined the mining game late like yourself however with a couple of smart investments in the right coins i managed to almost reach my ROI .

im still waiting for all those amazing features i was promised in so many coins

i really like the idea but having this coin scrypt based drives me away from it , too much electricity ...

3 days is not an insane amount of time i think we all lost coins one way or another due to devs being gone however
cant we al least give him the credit and wait for the 26/8 maybe he is working his ass off in some basement ..

shame to  kill the coin before the beta released...

hello a stupid question maybe but on other coins i mined i could see the rich list with the top wallets i checked the blockchain and didn't see that option there am i missing something or is this like a feature someone has yet to implement ?

why does it matter to me you might ask , well it helps me decide if i wanna invest more money if i see more people with big wallets and not just one big wallet that belongs to an exchange / dev .

i'm attempting to install the wallet on a ubuntu server 14.04
i installed the pre req

Sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libdb5.1++-dev libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev libminiupnpc-dev libminiupnpc8 git

afterwards i ran the
sudo make -f makefile.unix

and used this config file
rpcuser=GridBitUser
rpcpassword=GridBitPassword@
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=12033
port=12034
gen=0
server=1

when i try to run the gridbitd it just hangs with no output ...

is this the right place to ask ? if not where should i go ?
