However, I do think that alternative cryptocurrencies may exist if it is going to be used for different purposes or applications.

For AI to be as accurate as possible, it needs high data accuracy which is why I believe many of the big tech companies are seeming trying to "invade" our privacy. Only when they do that, they'll be able to understand or rather, digitalize human behavior to create AI products that are accurate.

Okay... so you are willing to sacrifice your privacy in order to make AI more accurate when generating comments? Let me remind you that tech giants are merging their forces when it comes to developing AI. If we let a quasi-monopoly get infinite knowledge about us, these companies will have be more incited to keep the status quo instead of pushing for innovation, which would be to ensure AI accuracy without having to violate anyone's privacy.
I didn't say that I was willing to sacrifice my privacy. My point was that to make AI more accurate, it needs data.
It's just that, as of now, invading our privacy seem to be the way all these tech companies are getting data and honestly, I'm not too sure how we can stop it.

Considering the value of goods right now in your respective countries, how much do you think should immortality cost? This, of course, includes the option to die whenever you wish to.
I just thought about this because of another thread that reminded me of a news predicting that there will be a technology that could provide virtual immortality say 2060 or around that time. I am not expecting them to give it for free so how much do you think should it be?

Well, if you own a game or create your own virtual space, then I wouldn't think that it could be that expensive. Probably just a hardware to upload "you" in the virtual space. And by then, I'm thinking technology is way advanced. So, maybe all you need is a laptop (or hologram, who knows)? Feel free to add thoughts to this.

I think that with all the tech available today, innovation is just what we have to do to make things better.

In my perspective, the next best tech is how we integrate cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, AI and virtual reality. Right now,most of these are being developed independently though there are some that have integrate one or two of these technologies. Now, integrating everything all together will sounds a little complicated but it that's possible, with 5G technology also developing, a lot of innovations could be done to make things better. Also, not forgetting how these technologies can find a way to respond to climate change.
Depends on what the purpose of the microchip is. What does it do? How much does it cost? Will it have adverse effect in the long run? Will it give me long life? If there's a viable answer to all these, then hell yeah, I'm getting microchipped. If there's no real use to it, then I'm not wasting money for it.

Read up and let me know if you'd allow yourself to be microchipped. Personally, I feel it's very invasive for those purposes.
Recently The Guardian reported that employees in the UK might get microchipped. Of course, this created an alarm within the employees. But technology is advancing and developing. First of all, yes, it could help people to enjoy or practice whatever beliefs or violent entertainment one might have. It's a virtual space, so, definitely not harming anyone.
Second, since these group of people may have their own ideas or philosophies, a separate virtual space will be needed, or rather they can create their own virtual space to do whatever they want. I believe people who share the same ideas will group together and have fun in their virtual space without literally harming anyone or themselves.
I have been thinking many times about death.. and that scares me only when thinking about the word.
I really don't know how to overcome this fear. Sometimes gets stuck in my mind and i can make all this horrible scenarios where i end up in hell or i wake up in darkness and i can only talk to myself.

Usually they say, if you're afraid of death, you probably haven't lived life to the fullest. So, while you're alive, live a good life. Don't procrastinate on things that you ought to be doing now,. Be good to people. If there's anything you want to try out (skydiving, etc), go have fun, try it out and enjoy life. Don't worry about what happens after you die. That's another world and no one knows.
Now if it helps to ease a little bit, there are some virtual reality research going on to "preserve" you in virtual space, a concept of virtual immortality. I know it sounds a little crazy, but if immortality eases the thought of death for you, hope that could help.
Did you also think about the possible VR entrepreneurs who may emerge? Seems like new opportunities for millennials.
As of this moment, I don't see how VR can increase my personal income. But yes, for millennials or rather the Gen Z, this would be a good opportunity for them to get into especially if they are already interested in VR. This would give them time to develop the technology and come up with ideas of which they could possibly make money few years down the road. Better still, if they are able to integrate VR and cryptocurrency, they could be the next rich kids on the block.
I would say that it is just not AR. VR as well. With these technologies and also with the development of AI, there will be many possibilities that can happen in the future and that's why researches and development of these technologies are taking place now. Give it another decade, these realities could be part of our daily lives.

Yeap, he's still mining and earning. I think he has a private mining farm or something. Not much of a game plan at the moment. Just reading up and Googling up just to see how I could get back in the game. So, you're just HODLing at the moment?
As for me, I happened to be Googling the search term "How to make money fast" back then about 10 years ago and Bitcoin mining was in the list. But of course, at that point, cryptocurrency being new, I was quite skeptical about it and wasn't really into it. Years down the road, I met a friend at work and he was already into mining at an early stage when crypto was introduced. Only then, I started to actually trust this whole crypto thing and read more about it.
However, by then, the price was quite high and I patiently waited for the price to drop but unfortunately it didn't. So, pretty much that's how I got into crypto, bought fractions of it here and there.
But never really kept up with after the first hard fork last year. So, hopefully this forum might enlighten me as I get back to it.

No, I didn't get into mining. My friend did. Knowing a friend doing mining and earning on a daily basis was what got me to trust this whole crypto indutry. I'm more into hodl and slight investing. But since the fork, I have not much idea how things have changed in the blockchain. At one point, Bitcoin was skyroccketting and then Ethereum came into the picture and then it all started to get confusing for me. So, I kinda stopped looking into crypto. But now, it looks like crypto is going to be a thing in the future somehow. There's Bitcoin ATMs around. So, I better get myself back on track with crypto news.
We are experiencing a going-down market from the beginning of this year, many speculators left the market & some new visitors coming in, it is not a bad thing - at least the market sort out those true believers who are the HODLers, but what they believe is a great thing or it is just a last virtual banquet? so here are some questions for us to discuss, if the answers are positive, hope it can bring us more confidence and patience to keep us stick to bitcoin for a very long time, here we go:

If we are talking in the next 20 years, there is a possibility that it can become a global currency. I wouldn't say other world currencies will not be used at all but as global transactions happen, Bitcoin can become a global currency. Plus, as we know there are other technology advancement as well such as AI and virtual realities being developed. By 20 years, I foresee a future where not just bitcoin, but the blockchain technology as a whole to be integrate into many industries/aspects of life.
