Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.7 (Windows/Linux)

Wondering if someone has an easy solution to this new problem.

I've been mining for 1 year with no problems across my 5 rigs.

All of a sudden, the majority of my rigs (using various versions of Claymore) are showing GPU0 as 0.00 MH/s.   I can only seem to mine if i plug gpu0 into my monitor, but then my other rigs will stop mining.

When I relaunch claymore, it hangs at POOL/SOLO.  Eventually it will get going, but GPU0 will be at 0.00, then it loops.

I'm using various versions of claymore across my 5 rigs.  Aug23 blockchain drivers and afterburner.

Please help.  My hashpower is useless right now.

I use to get the same issue (hangs at POOL/SOLO, miner restarts after restarts).

What helped in my case was to remove all -cclock, -mclock settings. Perhaps you should try to remove all the gpu control and monitoring options and build up from there

Hi,

I've an 8 x Rx580 rig. I'm on the lastest drivers (18.3.4 drivers only, no CCC /AMD settings).

On 11.6, I was getting a lot of crashshes, freezes, reboots. Until I've realized that it was because I had -cclock 1150 configured. I've reverted to normal clocks, and reduced them indirectly, through power limit. So this stopped the crashes.
I've also tried OverdriveNTool, seems to behave similarly (unstable miner) if i downclock

On 11.7, I've tried to set the -cclock 1150 again. Now it seems that the miner no longer freezes. But the setting just doesn't work now, clock are easily in 1250 Mhz range.

How are you applying your downlcloaks? I wouldn't like flashing  them in BIOSes, because it's inflexible. Best results were for me achieved with Radeon Settings app (+5% better hashrate than what I'm at now, while also shaving almost 10% power consumed ) . But AMD settings reset themselves from time to time, which is hugely frustrating

Hey, has anyone else here encountered problems with OverdriveN tool? I'm having RX 580s..

Even if i use a profile that only reduces powerlimit (to say , -25 %), what I get in Claymore is all cards hovering arount ~1000 Mhz.

If I reset the card's settings in wattman, set the power limit from there to -25%, mining is ok, frequencies of GPUS are in the 1150-1250 range

Do you know of a place where issues such as this one are discussed?

Hi guys i have a strange problem with my rig 8 rx 580gb nitro+ is having low hashrate only 19mh/s without overclocking and all together only 145mh/s please help

Most likely you did not set the compute workload for each of your cards in AMD settings. Alternatively, you can use the blockchain driver and then you dont' need to set everything

I'm having problems getting the miner to work (cannot allocate big buffer for DAG).

I've tried increasing page file to 17-25GB, using the env. variables and even using the benchmark 10 flag. Nothing works, while etherminer is working fine.

I have never been able to run this miner. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I left it and let it restart itself 10-12 times and then it started to work.

I'm guessing this isn't normal?

Yup. Only hints I have is (1 ) check your page file. You have a single card so you shouldn't need to much, just say 4 GB. (2) try a clean reinstalation of drivers  or a install a different version

Hi

I'm trying to mine eth+pasl

The problem is that I lower the mining of eth to 17 mh/s when it is normal that this about 30 or 31 mhs mine eth+lbc

I put my configuration to see if you can lend me a hand:

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal miwallet.miworker -epsw x -dpool mine.pasl.fairpool.xyz:4009 -dwal + -dpsw x -tstop 85 -dcoin pasc

What will I be doing wrong?

regards

you need to manually tune (decrease) your -dcri parameter to restore ETH value. I'd start with '-dcri 1' and keep increasing until  the eth hashrate drops too much. Also, you can increase power limit which could help both ETH and PASC climb back up

Now I'm also getting Stratum errors..

I've tried today to give the pool yet another chance and seems I can't even mine. I was used to the backend having almost daily downtimes but apparently it can get worse for this pool Sad
