Would say yes, but how are we going to accomplish that and maintain that situation. The knowledge of how-to built them will not disappear...
On top of that, how will anybody enforce this ban, without having a power imbalance, which makes banning them redundant all together (e.g. Country A threatening Country B not to make nukes or they will be nuked...?)

Hi, just some well meant advise.

1. Always do your own research
2. Do not invest more than you can, or are willing to lose, worst case scenario you lose everything
3. Look for a project you believe in, that has value, rather than making a quick buck
4. The value of any coin or project will eventually come from implementation and utilization of the product, not from short-term investors/traders looking to cash out quick

Hi, are you conducting your research from the perspective of an ''investor'' or also from the perspective of start-ups or corporates that are conducting an ICO?

Maybe both perspectives are interesting to research? Also, don't know if you are taking this into account as of yet, but are you looking into retail investors only or also VCs, Hedge Funds/Crypto Funds, and angel investors?

At the moment, I think for most people earning on BTC is a side hustle or passive income. Altcoin trading and ICO investing give you higher ROIs.

Saying stuff like getting rid of negative people in your life is kind of true, but also pointing fingers.. It would not matter in the end, if you can not look inwards first and get rid (e.g. improve) on your bad habits.
