I'd have to agree-- trusting a shared hosting environment with a Bitcoin wallet is a huge no-no. However, I personally wouldn't be worried about the hosting provider stealing your wallet-- I'd worry a lot more about the fact that it's a *shared hosting environment*. This means that your wallet is sitting on the same box that other people use. If there's ever a privilege escalation vulnerability in a piece of software on the machine (and trust me, there will be at some point. There's always going to be some time before they patch new exploits that come out), your funds are simply not safe.

I'd recommend you build bitcoind from source and run its tests. You can find links to the latest release here: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin
If you really don't want to install it from source, you can also run apt-get update; apt-get install bitcoind.
Once you do that, you should run bitcoind securely in the background (*do not* allow it to listen for connections coming from the Internet-- only from your own machine or network). Then you can communicate with it via the JSON RPC, allowing you to interact with the rest of the Bitcoin network.
There's an init.d script here that you can use, so you don't have to manually pass in the correct arguments each time and prepare the daemon to run: https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=965.0

Eric thank you so so much that was what I needed. Now to figure out how to include value="%[PAY_AMOUNT]%" into the price section to replace the button[price_string] so it can create the price that is dynamically created before they click the buy button. I am one step closer so thank you.

How were you supposed to know to hold on to your Bitcoins last time? Become more educated this time around, but I think there's always a high amount of pure luck (being in the right place at the right time) when it comes to speculation. Good luck!

Before I jump into the API stuff, though, I just want to point out that uou can generate a checkout button or page with Coinbase's Merchant Tools. Simply click "Merchant Tools" on the left hand side menu. Also see https://coinbase.com/docs/merchant_tools/payment_buttons
The documentation explains "For more advanced integrations, it's sometimes necessary to create many buttons with different prices. In these cases you'll want to use the buttons API." If that's what you need:
Buttons can be embedded in a page using some embed code. There are a couple of other options like button size that you can use, but this is the template for a basic Coinbase Buy button:
Firstly, we'll need an API key to tell Coinbase who we are when we're asking them to create a button for us. Go to https://coinbase.com/account/integrations and enable and generate an API key.
Secondly, you'll notice that there's this "code", 4d4b84bbad4508b64b61d372ea394dad. This is what tells Coinbase what you're selling and makes your button unique. To create a new code, we need to send an HTTP Post request to https://coinbase.com/api/v1/buttons
You can use HURL to test creating one:

Most (all?) marketplaces have APIs, which allow you to query data that they present in a standard format (JSON).
JSON stands for "javascript object notation", and it's just that-- it's one or more objects in JS with attributes and their corresponding values. Because these APIs all return JSON, you can write JS that runs in the browser and can do things with the data. You can also process JSON server-side of course, but it sounds like you want your charts to appear in the browser. Some APIs you can grab stuff from:
