Re: get rid of all bitcoin airdrops/hardforks

(1) transfer your bitcoin to a new wallet.
if you have a paper wallet, just create a new one and do the transfer.
if you have a wallet which is not deterministic and you have only 1 address, then just create 1 new address.
if your wallet is HD (have a seed) then create a new wallet.

(2) find a wallet for these new coins
you can claim most of them using coinomi wallet[1] it supports most of them.[2]

if it doesn't have a coin, then your only option is to download the official wallet of that coin. always find their GitHub repository and download it from the source.
also make sure to install them in a sandbox (a virtual machine) since they are not exactly trusted.

(3) find an exchange to sell these coins.
usually Yobit supports anything that moves. but it is not such a good exchange and your deposit/withdrawals may get stuck. use it as your last option.

[1] https://coinomi.com/ double check the link to see if it is correct
[2] https://medium.com/@coinomi

ps. it is very hard to say how many because it is hard to keep track of all these forks! there may be at least 50 forks planned, 30 happened and at least 5 turned into scams and died the first day.

Thank you

thanks for that.

yes, i know all that, BUT how my wallet knows which Nodes to contact?

Like bit torrent, when i load a torrent in my Mac, it goes to a server/tracker and that tracker connects me to all the peers sharing that torrent; that tracker knows who are the peers/nodes because i don't!

in bitcoin who is this tracker? who plays this role? how my wallet knows who are the NODES?

when i am sending or receiving bitcoins through my wallet, which server is it contacting?

there must be a server/website/something that every connection goes through. And NODES contact this server/website/whatever to know which transactions they need to mine...

can someone explain me better who is this intermediary ? between NODES and every wallet.

i think you people didn't watch the video or didn't read the news.

QUANTUM COMPUTER IS HERE. IT IS NOT A TECHNOLOGY FROM FUTURE. IT IS HAPPENING, IT IS HERE.

And yes, bitcoin is a target. YES IT IS. It has too much value right now.

And 'they' only need ONE (yes just one) quantum computer to destroy bitcoin completely. Not mass production, BUT JUST ONE!

i would be worried more about the chances of bitcoin to survive, before the quantum pc will ever hit the market on a large scale

it doesn't need to hit the market on large scale...

Well I am on Android and I am using a Bitcoin ticker widget. In apple store it goes by the name BITCOIN ticker by XT apps Ltd. This is by far the best and the most comprehensive Bitcoin application for following price that I have used.

You have many options to set, alarms, many different views, settings, etc.. Give it a try, you might like it.

Cheers!

WOW, IT IS EXACTLY THIS.  Grin

Thank you sooooooo much. It is perfect.

You are welcome. I am glad I could help. This is for me together with mycelium Android wallet 2 best applications for smartphones in the whole Bitcoin ecosystem. These are 2 of those apps that you can proudly show to your friend that you are trying to introduce to Bitcoin.

Thank you

Actually, i prefer Breadwallet. I think it is the best wallet out there.

Breadwallet and Bitcoin Ticker are the two best bitcoin apps atm.

by

on 06/09/2015, 16:12:33 UTC
hello,

i use bloomberg app for iphone to track my investments through their watchlist/mobile watchlist.

But, sadly, bloomberg doesn't support support BTC/XBT.

My question is, there is any app to control my bitcoin investments? how much i am winning or losing with bitcoin price variations...

i want something that i can enter:

- about of bitcoin acquired
- how much i paid (usd or eur)
- date

example:

- 2btc
- 460usd
- Set/6/2015

Pretty easy actually: bots programmed to sell if 3D crosses to the downside.  Whales took advantage.

Well played.

This makes more sense.

Why now?

What is happening? Can anyone explain to me?
Ignorant media articles about the XT non-fork making whales sell to start a panic and buy again cheaper to finish it. Hodlers just sit around and enjoy fresh popcorn.

Why is everyone selling then? Whales arent newbies...

Is bitcoin going down to 100USD?
