guys, please create a .bat file content "eurobitd.exe --add-peer 35.188.44.219:8080" without quote in the folder eurobit-cli then run .bat file and wait to sync (check in roaming folder if eurobit folder existe, please delete it)

Still the same.

Peer is actively refusing connection. No firewall

Can you please explain to us how you did that?

We are stuck on getting it synced

Yes please, let us know how you cracked it. As idiot-proof explanation would be fantastic, still learning here  Grin

I just did what he said in the post quoted below.

0. Make sure the wallet is closed.
1. Hit Start on windows
2. type "cmd", hit enter
3. Left click on Eurobit program and drag it into the command prompt(cmd)
4.It should show the path to the file you dragged over.
5. add a space after the program name and type in "--add-peer 35.226.137.84:8080"
6. close cmd when done and run wallet, should start syncing within a few minutes.

ps, don't put quotation marks " " in step 2 or 5.

hope this helps.

I just wish I could figure out how to mine it on windows.

Open up a command prompt, drag eurobitd into the command prompt and do the add peer command, wait for your wallet to sync and then you can use your simplewallet or GUI wallet, and you only have to do this once unless you want to resync the blockchain.

We are happy to say though, soon you won't need to do this, we are working on a patch to make it automatically connect to the seed nodes : )

Timing wise
Did you manage to do it after the timestamps on the messages here?

If so, it might be that the peers have limited connections

I've been mining solo all day!

Rather than executing "eurobitd --add-peer blah blah I created a file called eurobit.conf and saved it into my appdata\roaming\eurobit folder (I'm on Windows 10).

All that's in it is the following.

add-peer=35.226.137.84:8080
add-peer=35.188.44.219:8080

I can then execute eurobitd.exe without any command line parameters.

It might take a while to sync so be patient.

Did you actually see some action in the cmd window whilst synching ?

nvm, still getting connection refused errors (set_log 4)

seeing lots of fluctuation in everything, hashes going up to 11M/s then down to 5M/s
Difficulty jumping from 800m to 600m to 1.3g
large time gaps between blocks
