Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 300 blocks solved!

Hey guys, can someone show me a tutorial on how to set up a solo ckpool on Pi OS? Here is my set up:

 - Raspberry Pi 5 8GB with a 2TB nvme
 - The latest Pi OS installed on the nvme
 - Bitcoin core installed via snap store and fully synced
 - A bitaxe currently solo mining through ckpool

I would like to mine directly to my own node. I understand I have to set up a solo ckpool in Pi OS for that to happen. I haven't been able to find a working tutorial on Google.... any help would be much appreciated.

p.s. I know umbrelOS is an easy option since they have bitcoin core and public pool in their app store. I would really like to learn how to do it on Pi OS and ckpool.

And you think he doesn't know how to ask an AI? How about contributing something constructive?

As ck said, it's written in the README.
I have to write a lot.
In short:

1)
sudo apt install -y build-essential git autoconf automake libtool pkg-config \
libcurl4-openssl-dev libjansson-dev libssl-dev libgmp-dev zlib1g-dev

2)
 install ckpool

3)
./autogen.sh
./configure

4)
make

5)
nano ckpool.conf

6) copy/paste this in nano:
{
  "btcd": [
    {
      "url": "127.0.0.1:8332",
      "auth": "ethanhunt",
      "pass": "Bitcoin",
      "notify": true
    }
  ],
  "btcaddress": "1DCy42drohR8MXvVs4DPQegH6QDL1Nr7A5",
  "btcsig": "/mined by Biden in Termux/",
  "blockpoll": 1000,
  "donation": 0.5,
  "nonce1length": 4,
  "nonce2length": 8,
  "update_interval": 2,
  "version_mask": "1fffe000",
  "serverurl": [
    "0.0.0.0:3333"
  ],
  "mindiff": 1,
  "startdiff": 1,
  "maxdiff": 0,
  "zmqblock": "tcp://127.0.0.1:28332",
  "logdir": "/data/data/com.termux/files/home/ckpool/logs"
}

7)
replace btcaddress with yours and auth and pass

to be the same as bitcoin.conf in bitcoind

Cool
start  ckpool with:

./ckpool -c ckpool.conf

9)

Bitcoind, ckpool and bitaxe must be started. Bitaxe must have: stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:3333

My comments are above.

If you used version 2.7 or newer nothing to worry about.

know for sure that there are 25 BTC in an address from 2012 created with bitaddress.org and nobody was unable to find the private key even though the address is abandoned. I think the 2012-2013 versions are also ok, meaning everything above v1.5.

I wanted to ask you pointbiz why from the address:
1NiNja1bUmhSoTXozBRBEtR8LeF9TGbZBN you haven't spent even 1 bitcoin in so many years, I think it's over 13 years?
I also asked this question on github.
Do you no longer have the private keys to the address? Prove that you have the private keys by sending 0.1 btc or 1 or however much you want to the following address:
1NiNja1aJFZbSCWfxDGi2RyFezef66xHts.
Thank you

Hi, you have been holding these bitcoins for long, (1NiNja1bUmhSoTXozBRBEtR8LeF9TGbZBN)... You can donate some if I find grace in your sight. Here is my Bitcoin address: [...]
This forum isn't the right place for begging or asking money, goto gofundme and do it.

Hello everyone, does anyone have a pool, everything is frozen, the hash has dropped, I turned off the miner, it still shows that it is connected, last update 10 hours

You can use solo.ckpool.org instead of eusolockpool but the latency will be a little higher if you are not close to the US

My opinion, which I've had since last year, is that this year it will reach between $180,000 and $240,000, maybe even more.It's a secret that I deliver for free.😉
I'm not kidding, maybe I should have kept it to myself and just benefited.

well when do these inactive worker reset / drop forever from the wallet worker history?
Only on pool restart for the most part.
so that means almost never Sad Please consider having a script purging inactive workers data - might optimise storage but definitely improve user experience. There's definitely a bug with workers stats section - possibly associated with renaming the workers or switching between unnamed and named workers wrt inactive workers.

Calm down bro you wrote the same thing 4 times which is not important, pool restart happens much more often than you think.Peace, man!

The latest versions of Bitcoin Core no longer allow the creation of legacy wallets.

Hello everyone, my miner was disconnected yesterday and no longer works on other pools, it gives a hashrate of EU, I connect and at zero, something happened to the server or is it just me who has problems?

https://eusolo.ckpool.org/users/bc1qq6fj7crr44v9hdvvk6hn5xutpheh6a35juwe57

Pool is working fine and nothing has changed. You may have a routing issue.

tell me how to solve this problem, I rebooted the miner, tried to switch to another wallet and nothing works, how to solve the routing problem?

What kind of miner do you have?

the miner worked for more than a month everything was fine yesterday at 9 pm but it turned off the problem is not solved
Routing problems are usually internet related and not your fault. Something about the way your provider connects to the EU pool. On linux you can use traceroute to check if you can get there, I'm not sure on other operating systems. The other thing is the hosting provider may have decided to block IPs from certain parts of the world - they sometimes do this without telling the people who use the service. I don't put any blocks in place.
