Re: Stay Away of this scam Coin

I don't see any team members on the website's About section. I also don't see a physical address listed on the website. These are red flags based on my experience.

Re: Halving: Does it places an important role in the crypto market or not?
by
ethergod
on 22/01/2020, 09:50:20 UTC
It obviously has a long-term impact on price, because price is always related to supply based on the supply and demand equation. The question is whether investors have priced in the halving long before the event. I am not sure, but because I am not a day trader or short-term investor the question is somewhat irrelevant to me. In the long run, without a doubt it affects price.

Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help

this is my current investments. do u have any suggestion

20k$ = BNB
20k$ = ADA
20k$ = EOS
20k$ = XEM
20k$ = NEO
10k$ = XRP

Well, this takes balls. It's not something I would do, but if the bull market continues this year there could be a great reward. On the other hand, cryptocurrencies are very risky with the chance of getting wiped out.

Re: Will cryptocurrency soon be an alternate payment option?
by
ethergod
on 12/01/2020, 04:49:26 UTC
Yes cryptocurrency is already another option of payment and it's spreading like wide fire.
Alot where initially critical about cryptocurrency some labeling it all sort of names like a ponzi scheme, fraud etc but it has actual caught there interest

But want thing I can say is that we might see this giant companies like the OP has just mentioned that accepts cryptocurrency or some that has not yet started following the same way as facebook and creating there own coin.

Should there be a limitation to this yes cryptocurrency has created an avenue for a whole new way of trading and transaction should any company just develop there coin just because they had already gained fame and altcoins that has been in cryptocurrency for a while would die out this would cause competition and might build of to an avalanche of coins in the future.
bitcoin and some good number of altcoin are my point of fancy in the cryptocurrency community. am not interested in Libra coin(still sceptical about it)
If this faint want to venture into cryptocurrency there should make use of the existing coins and not corrupting the whole system

Yes, cryptocurrency is already an alternative currency since we could already use it in some stores online and even in some physical store you could also use bitcoin as an alternative currency. But still the number of stores or even online that is accepting bitcoin was just so little so I guess we need a lot more time for the bitcoin to influence a lot of big companies to make them it an asset or a method of payment. I think bitcoin and some popular altcoins in the market is the only cryptocurrency that is going to be recognized by big companies as an asset since there are so many altcoins in the market that has no value at all.

There are already so many places where u can use cryptocurrencies as payment option therefore ofc where the soon is now.

Is some places you can only use cryptocurrencies. But due to not 100% of the population knowing what cryptocurrencies are they still have to make all other payment options available.

In the future i am sure something like this will happen as globaly and uniquely without fiat at all.
Even after a total fiat system collapse.
Agree bitcoin still needs a lot of time to completely influence a lot of places in the world also not all of the people are expose to technology like this bitcoin most of the time they are just aware of the traditional money.

Some of you people are putting the cart before the horse. The Lightning Network is still in its infancy and the scalability problem is not yet resolved. As soon as we have made progress such that the leading blockchains can handle thousands of transactions at a time, then, maybe then will we be able to talk about mass adoption.

Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday?
by
ethergod
on 06/01/2020, 19:58:04 UTC
I am a huge fan of Ethereum (you can tell by my handle!) and think its transition to proof of stake will revolutionize finance, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it will replace bitcoin. Bitcoin has the first-mover advantage and as difficult as it may be for most altcoin bagholders to admit, they need bitcoin to succeed because the whole crypto space depends on bitcoin. If bitcoin fails, this will set the industry back maybe five or 10 years, as Ivan on Tech says. I personally believe in diversification, so I like Ethereum, bitcoin, stocks, gold, and other forms of investments.

Do I think there is a remote possibility Ethereum can overtake bitcoin? Of course! But this would require mainstream adoption. It would require major institutions to suddenly back Ethereum, and for Ethereum to be promoted everywhere by all of the major banks. I think Ethereum will be big, but I think bitcoin will always be bigger. I could be wrong tho!

Do we really need another token? We have probably over 2,500 tokens, so unless this offers something unique or compelling, I am unsure it will have much success.

The way this token is named, it almost sounds like a joke. Please correct me if I am wrong!

Re: Bot trading domination: Time to panic?
by
ethergod
on 06/01/2020, 13:48:24 UTC
If the markets are dominated by algorithmic trading, the obvious solution is to consider intermediate to long-term trades, or swing trades. Bots cannot foresee events and cannot be programmed, at least at this time, to make optimal long-term investments. A longer time-frame requires creativity.

Re: What are other ways to earn?

One fairly easy way to make money in the industry is becoming a bounty hunter, such as by wearing a signature. Though the days of easy money may be over, I think there's still money to be made this way. Also, I expect the amount paid will improve once the bull market resumes.

I am no expert prognosticator but the technicals and general feeling in the market appear much better than just two weeks ago. I think it's great that bitcoin broke out of its range and I expect the last two quarters of this year to be bullish.

Re: How to know which coins are good?
by
ethergod
on 19/07/2018, 00:30:51 UTC
I believe as the market matures it is becoming increasingly more sophisticated in distinguishing quality projects from those with no substance. Currently, the top 50 coins are generally good. I generally like to see a strong team with strong relationships, and adequate funding from the ICO or especially venture capitalists.

Re: ICO without whitepaper
by
ethergod
on 19/07/2018, 00:28:47 UTC
The whitepaper is critical for an ICO because it states the mission and goals of a project, and its overall philosophy. Not having a whitepaper is thus a red flag. However, even with a nicely written whitepaper investors should be cautious. It is just one factor among many in judging a project.

Re: How should i invest in altcoins
by
ethergod
on 18/07/2018, 00:51:50 UTC
I agree with what another poster said with regard to doing proper research before investing. Investors must bear in mind that the market will continue maturing, which means that more projects will get weeded out eventually. What i'm doing is allocating large portions to already established big players.

Re: Top 3 coins in 2020?
by
ethergod
on 17/07/2018, 01:23:56 UTC
If I had to guess the top coins for 2020, I'd guess bitcoin to remain on top, though I admit there is a good chance it will be removed from its leadership position. I would guess the other top two as Ethereum and Cardano, and IOTA as a wild card.

As always, you must do your own due diligence, but I look at projects with reputable leadership and backers. I like Cardano, IOTA, Ethereum, bitcoin, Icon, Basic Attention Token, EOS, IoT on Chain, Litecoin, and OmiseGo. There are other solid ones as well.

Re: what causes the price of altcoin down?
by
ethergod
on 16/07/2018, 01:16:31 UTC
Right now all altcoins basically move in the same direction as bitcoin, with generally greater percentage moves. Whether people like it or not, bitcoin is still an anchor and point of reference in the market. As the market matures perhaps this dynamic will change.

by

I wouldn't be shocked if this were true, and if so I don't think it should be approved because Ethereum is an established, honest project. On the other hand I think these types of attacks are inevitable and will ultimately make the defences stronger.

Re: Reasons why ICOs fail
by
ethergod
on 15/07/2018, 00:24:06 UTC
ICOs fail because of the reasons you cite. Also, the cryptocurrency market is getting saturated, so competition is heating up. Some projects are simply using ICOs as an alternative way to raise money thereby bypassing venture capital firms, leaving the public to figure out their value.

Re: Is bitcoin fever coming back?
by

It's better to catch the fever before the masses do, because by the time they are in it's too late. I suspect bitcoin will have a big run before we get to the next halving, as people are acutely aware of the limited supply of bitcoin.

Re: Why is Eth value dropped now?
by
ethergod
on 13/07/2018, 04:52:36 UTC
Ethereum and other altcoins will move based on the movements of bitcoin. This is just the nature of the market at this stage. Ethereum like bitcoin has scaling issues, and it is increasingly facing competition. Ethereum will overcome these problems in my view.
