I don't get it. Don't get how tron is going to make it work either. Just don't understand this s#!¤t at all.

Try it out for yourself: https://github.com/upfiring/upfiring-update/releases

It's really simple to use and it's on mainnet right now. It's an unofficial version, but it still works.

but I'm a little doubtful about the hype project, most of them won't last long, so what makes this coin so special and will increase like you say?
to be honest i dont believe to any prediction anymore, hehehe.

Low market cap, very low. And as more users use the dapp and buy the coin, the price should definitely increase long-term. This could be a $1-$2 coin easily (it already reached those prices in the last January hype)

I've been hearing a lot about this lately especially with all the bittorrent token buzz. It's certainly a great use case for crypto. Low market cap too.

Well, paying per seed of download I guess will not give much of profit. Just I think incentives for the seeds. But not bad if the main goal is to promote a good downloading torrent platform.

People have earned solid profits so far just from seeding on the current dev app release.

I'm a big torrent user, have been for so long now I'm actually still surprised that there hasn't been something better than torrenting or seeding to replace the way we download stuff.

But OK, if it's similar to Bittorrent token, why would I use it? Why switch over to something I have to have a Discord account for or a forum account for? Even for Bittorrent, you don't need to use their client to earn it, from what I'm reading.

The answer is rare files. Because seeders are incentivized to share by setting prices on their files, you can easily find files you want and if it's not available, post in a Discord or whatever Upfiring group you're in asking for it. Someone will provide it since there is a monetary incentive (in UFR). With BitTorrent, the original content provider provides the monetary incentive to keep their file alive, so this type of thing is not possible.

They're both good projects in their own right, I just think Upfiring has much more potential from where it is now to where it's going.

I agree that everyone should look about. I've been hearing a lot of noise about this one lately and for those who have experiencing torrents since the napsters days, I'm sure that you would enjoy this because of the way it incentivized torrenting that rewards seeders. I'm going to look at it the next couple of days and it might be the right time to upload again. hehehe.

Yeah, this dapp is Project Atlas with 800x less of a market cap. So huge potential. And it's already live on mainnet. It has huge potential, worth the download imo.

The dapp just released and it's flawless. It's incentivized torrenting that rewards seeders. The devs just quietly released the developer version of the application: https://github.com/upfiring/upfiring-update/releases

There will likely be much more hype around the project in the next few months when the official version releases, especially with BitTorrent/Project Atlas pursuing a similar but somewhat different idea with BitTorrent token. People have been posting files on the discord (discord.upfiring.com) and on the forums (https://www.ufr.chat), but there are some underground places to get them as well. You don't have to own the token (UFR) to use the dapp and upload/seed files, you only need UFR to decrypt other seeder's files if you want to access them. Try it out. Absolutely a dapp/project worth looking into if you don't know anything about it.

hi
I made a withdrawal for my XCN coins a few days ago but still is in process mode and I know someone who made a withdrawal for his coin more than 20 days ago but he didn't receive his coin either.
b-ex support system not working for 20 days and you cant submit a support ticket.
and they wont answer any email.

This exchange is a scam. They don't return withdrawals to their users and will keep your coins for themselves.

These people should be in jail. They are directly money stealing from others. Some of the scummiest people on earth, if you ask me. They could operate normally and take a big withdrawal fee + transaction fees like a real exchange, but instead they prefer scamming and stealing.

Wow, lot's of people are into Coss here. Good to see since I own a bit and the market cap is really low right now. Definitely a token with huge potential.

To the guy that mentioned OAX - is there exchange up and running yet? I used to own OAX when they first ICO'd last year and ended up selling it.

🔥 High potential projects with extremely low market caps 🔥
by
evanito
on 27/08/2018, 07:09:37 UTC
I'm specifically interested in very low market cap projects with extremely high potential to explode in a bull market.

I've gather 3 projects so far that are under 10 million dollar market caps now but rose over 60x-100x in a matter of days during the December/January bull markets. They are now back to their pre-bubble prices, for the most part.

Upfiring - Incentivized P2P file-sharing where seeders get paid to seed/share files. Also has the lowest market cap on this list at around 2 million, so likely the highest potential for returns if the project is successful. Active on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Upfiring

COSS - Exchange that still needs a lot of work, but has potential in the future to be really useful. Shares 50% of profits with token holders and has trading promos. Also active on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/CossIO

Oyster - The worst performing project on this list since January, price-wise. Deals with file-uploading using IOTA and ETH. Has really bottomed out recently, and I'm not sure if this one will ever move, but it's worth buying a little just in case it ever surpasses ATH imo.

I've recently picked up these and am holding. What do you think of these projects/any more suggestions for micro-cap projects with high potential to add to the list? No new projects or ICOs, please. I'm really only interested in established projects that have been around since 2017 or earlier.

They titled this thread “The b-ex.io exchange is being scammed.”  Roll Eyes That’s hilarious. How much money has troyleroy76 “scammed” from you b-ex.io? Exactly $0. Meanwhile, here you are refusing to give him back his UFR tokens.

If they continue to refuse to withdraw or ask you for more apologies before returning your funds (which is totally illegal), file a legal suit with the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). Ask them to read these threads and determine the legality of b-ex.io's actions for themselves.

Re: Which one is better for you? Centralized wallet or decentralized wallet?
by
evanito
on 30/05/2016, 23:04:59 UTC
Consensus seems to be a decentralized wallet such as bitcoin core or (debatably) electrum.

I myself consider exchanges themselves to be centralized wallets and treat them as such. That's why when Cryptsy fell to ruin I was understandably furious but not SOL, because I kept the vast majority of my coins in a private wallet on my offline laptop that has one use and one use only, to keep my coins safe.

I wish every bitcoiner would know that any coin that sits in a wallet they don't have the private key to isn't their coin.

It just isn't. If (when) that centralized service provider goes dark, there is nothing you can do. Because everything you could have done and should have done is the only protection you have. Keeping just a small fraction of your coins in an exchange when you want to trade them is a calculable risk, but the services offered by these exchanges are too incredible to resist for the average user. They see the exchange as reliable and don't hesitate to hand their coins over to the exchange, wide-eyed as they read the features list, until wham.

Their coins are gone. R.I.P.

Shoulda/coulda/woulda kept them cold.

Re: Do you trust to bitcoin casinos?
by
evanito
on 30/05/2016, 22:51:23 UTC
There are some reputable Bitcoin casinos but for the most part, no. There so shady and time and time again we've seen exit scams from BTC casinos. You're bound to lose money from them anyways, either through getting scammed or not.

Amen, with some casinos appearing to offer "ZERO house edge!!!!" it really brings to question how they stand to make profit when they remove the classic way casinos stack everything in their favor. I wouldn't trust those casinos as far as I can throw them.

And as we bitcoiners know, "When it sounds too good to be true, it ain't."

I'm surprised noone has pointed out the title's use of POS.

In btc context: PoS is proof of stake.

In common context: POS is Piece of shite.

And my two cents about using tor: after finding out that some exit nodes in Russia could implant viruses in downloads that the node was handling, I abandoned tor altogether.
Apparently its been remedied now, but that is a violation of my trust that will probably never be repaired.

Solar Power for a household sure sounds nice. While we are on the topic, why don't we try to power miners using my (non)patented invention:
THE MINER BOILER

... I intended to find a picture of a boiler system and just paste a picture of a miner onto the boiler part, but no diagram made the cut.
Anyway, two birds dead: power and cooling.

As impractical as this is, I can still entertain the thought of a room of ASICS being fluid cooled into a turbine and powering themselves.
