10. I notice for some weird reason i have not used fees since step 5, must be the reason why nothing happens.?

The above is your problem.

Read here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=232979.0

Yes, you are correct.

For some weird reason the transaction made without fees where not visible on the blockchain. I just woke up noticing my initial transaction (which was not visibile on the blockchain) went through. All transactions after this one where canceled and not visible on the blockchain.

Really weird, but thank god the problem is solved!

Multiple transactions, all not confirming. Not intentional double spending?
by

Well, i need to start with saying that i have been very dumb. I did not know of the change address thing.

So what i did:
1. Send btc to wallet.dat.v1
2. Make backup of wallet.dat.v1
3. Send btc from wallet.dat.v1 to someone elese, confirming correctly. Because of the change thing, this becomes wallet.dat.v2
4. I delete wallet.dat.v2
5. I restore backup wallet.dat.v1
5. I make another transaction from wallet.dat.v1, After this it is version wallet.dat.v3
6. I delete wallet.dat.v3
7. Few hours later i notice transaction is not showing up in the other wallet.
8. I restore backup wallet.dat.v1 and the amount i send in step 5 is NOT deducted.
9. At this time i start investigating and see the change address from step 3 (all btc send, 1. to receiver address and 2. to my change address). I think i must have some sort of fraud thing. So I sent all the btc to another address.
10. I notice for some weird reason i have not used fees since step 5, must be the reason why nothing happens.
11. I then send a transaction from wallet.dat.v1 to a whole new wallet with 0.001 fee.
12. Panicing is complete, after these steps i calm down. Start investigating and read about the change addresses and so fort.
13. Transaction keeps not confirming, i try respending but this doesnt show up on the blockchain.
14. I tried resending the transaction https://blockchain.info/pushtx but i get the error, "Error Pushing. Transaction already exists"
15. I rescanned the blockchain with wallet.dat.v1 and all the coins are still there.
16. Transaction keeps not confirming, i try respending but this doesnt show up on the blockchain.

I did not knew about the change address, fortunately i am using bitcoin qt. Which has 100 pre-generated public and private keys already stored. So deleting those versions of the wallet.dat file is not a problem (as i have understand it)

Is this a classic example of a double spending?

What can/should i do now? Wait and see if the transaction gets confirmed afterall? Or wait untill the unconfirmed transactions are deleted from the blockchain and then respend the coins? I think i made around 5 transactions today, which only 1 i can find in the blockchain, this isnt confirming.

I feel so so stupid, and what i really dont understand is why all the other transactions are not showing up. I think i made at least two transactions with no transaction fee.

So i can sleep well tonight, even if i deleted several wallet.dat version. I still have the version after the initial deposit and the following backup, my coins are safe?

Am i still vulnerable for transaction mallebility as long as this issue isnt solved?

I hope all is clear, the last couple hours where a real pain in the ass. I think i almost had a heartattack when i thought i lost all the btc.

I am willing to share blockchain information, if this doesnt hurt me with being vulnerable for transaction mallebility...

Dear guests and customers, thanks for your support and trust in us.

A few things  to mention;

Because of massive transactions, it may take longer as normal to receive your coins!

There are delays in some orders, for a few reasons.
Maybe some of you noticed that the digital currency become more popular, making it harder to get!

It seems to be that small and large digital currency platforms have a huge delay with transactions speed.
Due this it's almost impossible to sent out new transactions trough exchange servers, because of there severs mal functions

We get an overflow of the orders, by other exchanger {s} that can't handle it any more!
This is back firing to us, our own transaction speed is slowed down and influenced.

It's possible to cancel a order any time, if the order is not processed yet!
For your request to cancel and refund or anny other question please go to http://realgg.kayako.com/

We do our best to please everyone.

We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.

Support-Team Real GG

Ik heb zojuist drie keer gebeld, bel me!

Eens kijken of daar iets uitkomt.

Bitcoin addresses linked to profile on websites?
by
everio
on 08/11/2011, 14:41:20 UTC
Hello,

This might be a weird question but as you all know if you sign up with an ewallet or exchange service your account got assigned with 100 unique bitcoin addresses.

Is the website able to check which addresses are linked to a certain account?

I appreciate the details that you have provided about this transaction. You are correct in your assumptions about the online wallet services, however TradeHill is a Bitcoin exchange, meaning that it was designed for the sale and purchase of Bitcoin. We are currently developing wallet services on www.bitcoin.com.
Due to the fact that we are in the infancy stages of an economy run on Bitcoin, we are excited about the possibilities of the currency, while at the same time wary of the precarious regulations that may affect Bitcoin in any given day. Because of this we must be compliant with international AML policy.
Could you provide the following: a government identification of yourself, and of the generating user "other user" as well as screenshots of the bitcoin clients and their addresses.
Once we receive this, I will send this BTC withdrawal through. I apologize about the inconvenience, we have a Know Your Customer procedure in process which will be published shortly. This information will be confidential between yourself and TradeHill, and will not be released to any government authority except by government seizure or legal mandate. Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Darren

Well..

I thought that if i transfer bitcoins from one user to another the bitcoins wouldnt be linked anymore to a bitcoin address. Just to be more anonymous..

So i mailed them because it still was in process. They asked me to clarify the relation between the two users. One is mine girlfriend.. I did what they asked, it is now more then 36 hours ago since i last received an email from them..

I dont know what to do, what to expect.. I am slowly starting to think i lost these bitcoins Sad

Guys advice?

Are you sure?

They asked me for a clarification which i gave.. they didn't asked for personal details which i rather not give.

Besides that i am EU based, so does i get involved with US laws? I thought bitcoins where independent.. no central jurisdiction so why should they need my details?

The bitcoins are honest, no fraud or money laundering. However is it traceable? To its origin?

What can i do?

Mailed tradehill two times.. Used the same bit coin address again with a small amount and that one is arriving.

Looking op with bit coin blockhecker shows only the small transaction, not the large.
