Re: Bounty Money

The best reward you could ever gain would be the bounty of Ethereum or Litecoin  if they ever existed Grin
I feel so sad I didn't know about ETH a couple of years ago - oh what an excellent investment that could be..

Re: Digital Money = Cashless Society
by
exalterego
on 21/05/2018, 18:19:46 UTC
It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.

Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money. People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide.

Last month, I got $20 from online surveys. The money was sent to my bank account via online payment processor. Now if I buy 2 shirts using debit cards at offline or online stores, there is no cash involved but I have 2 shirts.

Bitcoin is a part of digital money. How is digital money is your country ??
Cash is still necessary for small businesses and unlucky countries with extremely low rate of social benefits.
Those $20 dollars you got is nothing if compared with the turnover of money in the worldwide economy.
So I think that crypto has no chance to become an international currency in view of the next 10-15 years.

Re: If you did not listen before, now is last chance to reduce your loss
by

on 21/05/2018, 18:02:23 UTC

It is now clear from more and more posts in here that people who came late to the bubble-party are in losses on their Bitcoins. Well, told you so.

This is not the time to HODL. The party is over. Your choice is whether to sell now and take a loss, or wait until you have lost everything.
I'm sorry to hear about your personal lost but BTC will certainly recover in a couple of months when all this fake news about "China", "Vietnam" and so on are forgotten.
Bitcoin is not a bubble but a most reliable means of payment (though not as fast as we wished it to be, but the evolution in this respect is coming).

Hmmm, still every bounty I can see has a facebook advertising campaign (though I personally hate FB and don't ever participate in these campaigns).
It would be really interesting to monitor this situation, because FB is a huge advertising platform and most ICOs would be unhappy to lose the FB public.

Stop spreading false information, bitcoin will definitely pump in a couple or months.

Despite the fact that Litecoin is 4 times faster than bitcoin it is still around $130 which is even less that ETH.
Forks are not as popular as the basic cryptocurrency and I don't see any prerequisites for Litecoin's rise..

This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

Regrettably, around 6% of bitcoins are lost now and I can't see anyway of recovering them.
Who could know back in 2011 that BTC would reach $20,000 one day?
That's a rhetorical question. If I only knew about bitcoin then I would be a millionaire now..

and allocate some profits from alt into ethereum and bitcoin.

That's actually what everybody does since these two cryptocyrrencies seem to be the most profitable (though there are some other alts like NEO and Dash that have gained great popularity).
Thanks god I've never lost so much money as some people describe here on the forum but your strategy of reducing the risks to the lowest possible level seems good to me.

I hope that in the nearest future this will reduce the volatility of cryptos and they will enter our live as the most secure money.

I'm still rather new to this world of cryptocurrencies and haven't yet bought anything substantial using bitcoin but I think that in like 5 years we will be able to pay for food and taxi using BTC.
There are so many new projects related to cryptos and I still can't figure out why wouldn't they create and promote a mobile app that would allow people to pay for goods and services in BTC like with those PIN pads in every store?

Re: Is banking still important in the bitcoin era?
by

on 10/05/2018, 18:31:52 UTC
Banks are regulating institutions, so there will be a complete chaos without them, as most funds are concentrated in banks.
It could take a long time to drive the greatest majority payments to blockchain (I would say like 15-20 years), and don't forget that blockchain still has some restrictions like the speed and cost of transactions.

I don't think that Bitcoin can be a danger to society, since the problem is the society and its people.

I absolutely agree with you!
Cryptocurrencies and blockchain are by no means a danger - it's the people that use them for criminal purposes.
The same can is true for fiat money and all other technologies (remember the atom bomb which was actually the product of peaceful intentions of its creator).

The value of this "act of mining" in the stratosphere is just symbolical, but yeah - all out life consists of symbols and that's a really challenging way of advertising their project.
What I mostly liked in the article you provided is the following: "We even hear word that NASA is researching the possibility of using blockchain technology for communication and navigation in space".
Just imagine how NASA is interested in super-safe blockchain technology. That really could be a prospective product which personally I even would like to invest in.

Some alts are really valuable, ecpecially those dealing with the applicable spheres of our life.
You should thorougly study the prospects of the project (its whitepaper, deadlines and, of course, its founders) in order to make a good investment.
Ethereum has made its name through a unique system of smart contracts - so what prevents all other crypto-currencies from doing the same thing?

Re: Ways to improve Bitcoin Community
by

- If big business will accepts bitcoin or enter bitcoin industry can improve our community because the more investors the more blessings to come Smiley

These are my opinions on how to improve Bitcoin community so what's yours? Wink
So you see bitcoin as the source of speculative investment only? Not as a real method of payment?
Would you buy a cup of coffee using bitcoin? Would it be legible if you decided to make your will to your descendants in BTC?
Would you, at least, buy a house using bitcoin?
Try answering all these questions - only then the new adepts of BTC will come!
