Thanks for that link. The wallet is loading after deleting the data directory. No worries about backing up; nothing in there yet anyways.

Worked fine last night. Today the program is "unexpectedly quitting" before it loads. Tried deleting and re-installing with no luck. Is there another program I can use or does it have to be the one from bitcoin.org? Or do I even need the program to get bitcoins?

Checked my acct on silkroad only to notice that someone made a withdrawal on my account, leaving me with .01. I contacted the website about it, but is there really any hope of getting them back?

Transaction went through. The blocks weren't finished downloading. Thanks for the help.

So far there is absolutely nothing in the blockexplorer window. I copy/pasted the bitcoin address so am pretty sure I didn't sent it to the wrong location.

Finally got around to exchanging some $ for bitcoins. After the transfer went through on MtGox, I then sent the funds to my bitcoin # on the bitcoin program. That was yesterday and the transfer hasn't yet shown up. Just wondering if it takes a few days or if there's something else I need to do in order to receive the funds I sent myself.
