Can somebody please provide an update on this? When can we expect update and financials?

http://blog.cavirtex.com/page/5

Joseph David: "I do intend on paying a dividend once the company shows sustained growth and profitability, and will be providing the next dividend update as well as financials by Q1 2014."

Are you going to be going to the Expo next week on Toronto?

If so, this would be a great place to ask Joseph about a dividend update and financials.

I will also be discussing these with him and update this thread after the Expo.

_mr_e / cavirtex, was this question answered by Mr. David at the expo and if so, can it be shared here?

Since this is the main thread and I see more people claim to have received orders from MinerEU here, I am moving my reply to the Blade promotion post here.

In response to an escrow provider, you wrote

Quote
Thanks for your kindly warning. However, due to the volume we handle everyday, we do not have any plan to use escrow service.

minereu.com, can you provide some transparency about your identity, address, phone number since on your web site?  It seems the only way to contact you seems to be by email?   I suppose it's possible you want to keep the location of your Kent, UK distribution center a secret for fear of possible theft, but another official Gridseed reseller  Hash-master's contact us page lists email address, phone number and mailing address.  This installs more buyer confidence.   You see I was recently burned by an exchange thought to be based in Beijing (Vircurex)- I should have done more research before depositing BTC there, so now I am more cautious and want to be sure I know contact information of companies I send money to.

Other questions: I see it says that the orders will be shipped soon after the promotion is done, so does it mean that ordering now is like making a pre-order and really, the customer doesn't know when the goods will actually ship ?  Finally, should I PM you for a shipping quote to USA or Canada for 1-2 Blade units, or email?  Thank you

Last night our development team patched our systems to protect against Heartbleed.

We have been following developments related to this bug very closely.

Hi, without compromising your security protocols, can you elaborate on what steps were taken to patch your systems and why you are still using an SSL Server Certificate Issued On: 29/05/2013?  Your Canadian competitor VoS renewed theirs a couple of days ago.

VoS recently announced they'd be doing an IAMA on reddit today at 13:00 EST/10:00 PST, probably to convince new participants to join them.
However if you try to sign up or log in, they show these errors:
SIGNUP TEMPORARILY DISABLED (Awaiting on an Amazon Security fix)
LOGIN TEMPORARILY DISABLED (Awaiting on an Amazon Security fix)

Announcement from their PR guy on reddit (effected should be affected):

Quote
This morning it was brought to our attention that there is a current bug with openssl that has lead to vulnerabilities in the Cryptocurrency community. While we at Vault of Satoshi are not directly effected on any of our primary servers, a third-party load balancing server could be effected. For this reason we have chosen to proactively suspend all sign access today and have contacted our third-party provider in order to get this matter resolved with the utmost haste.

We assure users that this matter is only temporary measure, that all accounts and balances are currently secure and we will be in constant communication with our provider in getting this matter resolved. Trading will be resumed as soon as the third-party updates the system software; it was not an easy decision for us to make but we would never want to take a risk with your assets.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out to our support team - we hope to be back with you shortly.

Okay I checked FINTRAC's site and see
Quote
Registration with FINTRAC does not indicate that FINTRAC endorses or licenses the business. It indicates only that the business has satisfied the legal requirements to register.

Therefore yes, they're registered with FINTRAC but how did you conclude that they don't actually have a license?

Bobsurplus, not sure if you're trying to cause FUD for your own benefit, but I agree with your concerns about the remote workers and the risk to customers' personal information.  For all we know, CS reps could be using laptops they used to surf shady sites with and these machines could be infected with malware. Could the malware include a keylogger or take screen shots of the company's database and transmit your name, dob, address, bank account # , etc. to an attacker?   By the way, how are identity verifications completed - are they done by these work-at-home CS reps or by an actual risk management/security team, and where copies of your driver's license/passport/proof of address/etc. stored?

You're right, paying 25-30% over market is absurd, only newbies fall for that on LBC.  If you no one here or there offers to sell to you at market rate, what's stopping you from buying on one of the exchanges you mentioned?

When I traded BTC for an alt coin yesterday, I knew I was losing BTC and overpaying due to inflated ask prices but I thought that by doing so, I can then sell the alt on another exchange or hold for the future instead of losing stuck BTC like Gox victims did.   A day later there's an announcement:

Quote
The migration of the account balances has been completed, deposits and withdrawals are activated again...
Update
We will regularly publish updates here on the number of accounts affected

All in all we have a bit over 90,000 registered users and accounts. Due to the freeze and the subsequent distribution of the available funds, a large number of accounts have been restored to their rightfull account balance, some unfortunately remain frozen for the time being and will over time be released as and when funds become available. Here the number of accounts with a frozen balance:

As of 25. March 2014:
BTC: 355 accounts
LTC: 1,563 accounts
TRC: 77 accounts
FTC: 42 accounts

Now alt coin prices are back down to normal, so even if I want to trade back to BTC, I lose money again.   I didn't expect withdrawals to be reenabled so fast...did some traders have inside knowledge that the freeze on most accounts would last just 1 day and they took advantage of this, or did Vircurex management profit not only from the increased trading volume's fees, but also to buy up discounted BTC?

Do you know what is very weird,  a lot of news outlets telling the world that Vircurex is based in Beijing China.

I thought it was out of Canada.

Are you thinking of cavirtex?  Similar name and yes, that one is based in Canada.

I ended up selling my small BTC balance for an alt coin earlier today (not DOGE) and withdrawal confirmed to my wallet minutes ago, so anyone who says that all coin withdrawals are blocked atm is spreading FUD.  Of course this could change in the future

Thanks guys for updating this thread as bad as the news is.
Good news is that withdrawing my DOGE balance showed up on my personal wallet quickly.
Hippie Tech, I too received the same red box error and was logged out as I tried to withdraw BTC, even though these coins were in the available balance column, not frozen balance.   Assuming BTC can still be sold, does anyone have suggestions on which alt to trade for and why?  I've noticed DOGE value dropping relative to BTC for 6 weeks since the big early February pump and am not sure I want to sacrifice the BTC for overpriced DOGE on Vircurex just so I can withdraw it. Then again if I leave it there, I don't think it will be refunded to my depositing address and judging what happened to Gox, I can consider it frozen forever.
So far I've downloaded the official VTC wallet and it's synching to the network - is there a light version available like Multibit?

Hey guys, I finally opened an exchange account and it's suggesting to enable 2FA.  Normally I tend to avoid using google authenticator, but are any of the exchanges recommended in this thread compatible with Yubikey or paper codes?

Getting some coverage so it should end up on his tv show and that will push it to the masses more.

Is this a mistake?

It is estimated that at the time of launch, an amount of 21 million AUR will be made available to the Icelandic population.

I thought the amount premined was 10.5 million?

such a speedy reply from embicoin! but I edited my last post.
Also  I visited the suggested exchange cryptorush and see this red message:
Slow Deposits/Withdraws
Due to the volume of AUR and BTC, we're having an issue with deposits and withdraws running much slower than they normally do, due to lag between our blockchain. The good news is everything is safe, just a lot slower. Sorry for the inconvenience this causes to everyone affected.
//

Does anyone know how many confirmations from blockchain is needed for deposited BTC to be credited into your account balance and what they mean exactly by deposits and withdrawal are running much slower than normal?   You see I don't want to waste time waiting like 6 or more hours when it could be 1 hour elsewhere.

Hi everyone, I bought some BTC recently and want to speculate on a fast rising alt coin, why not AUR but I am hesitating because of all the evidence that exists it's being pumped.   I saw that CharlieShrem, the American entrepreneur who was arrested and describes himself as Bitcoin pioneer & evangelist, was pumping this coin on March 1 and 2 to his more than 8000 followers on twitter, it's being supported by many big shots of the crypto world,  added to several exchanges and lots of mining pools too.  The wolong pastebin worries me too because I remember the controversy on another forum when it was discovered he pumped and dumped DOGE.

For choice of exchanges:  I was thinking of poloniex but then I saw their trollbox was blank and a twitter announced that markets were frozen, BTC was stolen and news to follow.  Oh no!  Not another hacking.  They also experienced DDOS recently.

My next choice is cryptsy because I saw it featured on bitcoinwisdom charts and sometimes I look at it for other alt coins.   But I see they ask for full name, state and country of residence.   Sorry but I just want to trade BTC to AUR to BTC again, anonymously.   I guess I can write any name, but if the account is suspended and they ask me to verify my documents (do they do that for crypto to crypto trading?), then I won't be able to and I'll lose my coins Sad

Finally, is there a good charting site for AUR like bitcoinwisdom?

Where do you see they are resuming withdrawals Feb 20th?   It just says "We will update everyone again by Thursday at the latest."   I would suggest you modify your title because right now it's misleading and what I assume is an attempt at price manipulation.

Yes, mtgox noted in (url removed) history of bitcoin[/url]. We hope mtgox wallet will fix and the customers can get their coin.

If don't have private key, we don't have nothing, is't right?

I scanned in sandbox with virustotal. result detection ratio: 0 / 53 but  didn't check with VM so can't conclude either, so someone else willing to assume risk would be better to analyze it
