Alright:

Who here is still a board member?
Does the board still meet?

Jutarul is still a member and he pops into the thread whenever there is something new to share. I imagine that if we haven't heard from him, there isn't anything new to report.

Was responding to this one technical question really of greater importance?

YES!

Agreed. He is responding to the lead BFGMiner dev who is probably adding support for these chips into his miner.

I've seen very little evidence on ROCKMINER having a ton of final product chips. I've seen absolutely nothing official about this Hashratio company either. It's all hearsay and a picture of an ugly box.

I would expect a celebratory message from Friedcat when the first shipment goes out, no? This has been a long time coming and a lot of work. Strange to remain so silent about it.

Is this not good enough for you?

Looks like more hardware coming online this morning. 128 second average: 125TH.
it will hit 128 sometimes if all the machines pump out a buncha shares all at once making them look faster because they were lucky, nothing new online

This is the first time its ever been over 130TH so I think it is more than just variance.

Board Pools (Altcoins)

I finished bugfixing another 3rd party stratum server to replace the previous one. I also rewrote it to be multi-threaded instead of single threaded (which is a big issue). I am testing it on some percent of the pool hashpower and results are very promising - number of rejected shares is significantly lower. I'll let it run serving part of the pool for an full hour and monitor logs and stats to see if no other problems arise and if nothing unexpected happens, I'll be switching the whole pool to it.

It looks like the dashboard is reporting an almost identical hashrate to sgminer now.

Thanks for the Saturday effort, Terk.

People who voted CPU-only haven't been around long enough or aren't tech savvy enough to appreciate the power of botnets.

I don't have a GPU farm so I'd love CPU only to be viable and fair for the masses, but unless you have some genius innovation to nullify botnets, its a pipe dream.

All we can do is fire up some cloud servers for a few hours and hope to do battle with the botnets until it becomes unrealistic. That's not particularly fair for anyone with a single CPU home computer though..

LOL try using your brain.

Coin release 7.30.  CPU mined.  Probably a lot of solo miners.  ( no bot nets at this point because it would be at least a few hours before they could even get the network configured ).

2 hours in.

Bot net joins pool.  Solo miners join pool.. everyone mines in pools and making coins.

NOW HOW ABOUT GPU.

7.30 coin release.  GPU miners with huge farms jump on.  No one with under 2-3 gpu's can solo because gpu farms too big.
Everyone join pools.
GPU miners pump ready to dump.

SO.. what looks better here..  To me its cpu mine only but hey if your a massive gpu farmer of course your going to cry wolf because all you are into crypto coins for is a quick pump and dump and boost the bank balance.

LOL a few hours to jump in with a botnet?...more like..2 minutes..

LOL you honestly believe that don't you.  Now explain how someone with a bot net would go about achieving that in a couple of minutes.  Explain the process of getting each infected machine setup to mine the coin.  I want each step because I know you will not be able to explain it as clearly you have no idea.

Unfortunately, it is you who hasn't any idea. Do you think the bot herder has to login to each machine and install software? Of course not. Most botnets have their command and control done over IRC. The bots check in to the C&C channel and the operator can issue commands depending on the complexity of their software. So the op gets the mining program, packages in a configuration file, ".bots install maxcoin", done. Definitely not hours worth of work.

Partners
We are especially interested in the following types of business partners:

1. Large mining operation owners who can also do massive PCB production of their own.

Cryptx, the next move is yours.

This seems like a no-brainer to me. The specs posted would make this chip the most cost effective chip on the market AND they're aiming for March. If CryptX has the ability to produce their own PCBs, please seriously consider going this route for a Phase 2.

So has anyone read the share registration document yet? What is with that clause stating you have to be an accredited investor? I, and I doubt many others, meet any of the listed rules to be considered an accredited investor,  which includes things like being a millionaire. I cannot sign the contract in its current form. What are we supposed to do now?

I'm starting to feel like we've been duped after all. This requirement was never mentioned once anywhere! I'm back to being extremely worried again and somebody needs to address this ASAP.

I came to post this. It seems like I'll have to go open an account with an "accredited investor" and get them to complete these documents in my name. Is that right?

I would have sold my shares on Havelock if I had known in advance.
