Callisto is a great project driven by Dexaran one of ETC lead Dev. i expect the price to grow X50 or more ($2.85 or more per CLO) before the hard fork planned on November 2018.

Hello
Why such a large windows wallet, 9 GB, why it weighs so much?

Hi,
i installed the win 64 version it use less than 1 gb in disk space, the installer hppcoin-qt wallet try to reserve enough space for the blockchain but it will take years till the HPP blockchain hits 9 GB.

Hi,

Ok, 6 cores flatout for 4 hours and nothing....

I'm assuming that since when i type "setgenerate true -1" into the console, and it doesn't even show me my hashes, nor does the network hash increase that i am doing something wrong?
I also assume that since the wallet reports over 800 KH/s already that you will be resetting the blockchain and starting again with a "FAIR" launch when you have ironed out these problems.

Would it not make more sense to start us off on a "testnet" for 24 hours first so you can find and fix the issues?
I can only see the current situation getting worse when you release a gpu miner

Disappointing...

There's nothing wrong with the mining. I mined from launch, it was at like block 5 by the time I got there, and I was a few mins late. I don't have a lot of power so I got a few blocks early, but nothing in the last few hours.  There's nothing unfair about that.  More processing = more profit for a PoW coin. Don't ask for a restart just because you were late, ask for one if you see something genuinely unfair.

I've been mining years, ans seen many launches, and this feels unfair.
The fact that you can't even see your own hash rate, the fact that there isnt even a "mining" option on the wallet, where you can easily select number of cores rules out most newbies, plus i genuinely believe that some one in the background already has a "private pool" with massive hash, or a gpu miner, which again only a few hours after launch would be bordering on unfair.
If a guy with 32 threads isnt even getting 1 block in 24 hours, then there is something not right....missing the launch by "a few mins" should not make or break a mining experience.
As for roll backs etc, look at Electroneum, BitcoinZ other recent launches, most of them have been rolled back, and have had massive starting issues.

Anyway, if a block can't be mined on a 6/8 core pc withing 24 hours, so soon after launch i suspect it won't get any miner other than the massive farms, so it will more than likely end up just another pump and dump...
Next few hours are critical to coins success, i look forward to waking up tomorrow to see what progress has been made. I mean we haven't even got a block explorer yet, so lets not get too carried away Smiley
J

It would be nice to be able to see the hashrate to try and optimize it. But I have mined 21 blocks so far with only 8 cores so either I'm very lucky or others are very unlucky. Even now I'm still getting a block every ~3 hours.
If you mine with 32 Cores Xeon you should get some blocks, based on my own experience : i have started mining from the beginning with a 2 x Xeon 3.4 GHz (24 Cores) and i got till now 14 blocks.

if you can share your debug.log i can help

Can anyone explain what I do with a .deb package on ubuntu?  I can install it with

sudo dpkg -i hppcoin_0.1.0-1_amd64.deb

or

sudo gdebi hppcoin_0.1.0-1_amd64.deb

If I do that, it tells me

Code:
Unpacking hpccoinv2 (0.1.0-1) over (0.1.0-1) ...
Setting up hpccoinv2 (0.1.0-1) ...

But after that I, I have no idea where the binary is to run it.

You can just double click to run it. Binaries should be in /usr/local/bin

Double-click... In terminal... You made my day.

Lol he still helped, I was able to find the binaries in the folder he pointed to (but yes, I am using terminal).

EDIT: Now its telling me

Code:
/hp.pcoind: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.58.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

But I have libboost-all-dev installed.  Any thoughts?

I know this problem. You must install boost 1.58 (!) libs. Not higher
i guess you have Ubuntu 16 64 bits
You can download boost 1.37.0 from : http://www.boost.org/users/history/version_1_37_0.html

SC price bonus on Bittrex almost gone: pairing with Polo.
There is still a price difference between Bittrex and Poloniex so at least in the short term there are small percentage gains buying on Bittrex and selling on Poloniex.  Either there was someone holding down the price or more sellers on Bittrex but that is over now.
I agree with you, i made a nice gain bring in Bittrex and selling in Polo

Hi,
i'm newbie in Siacoin, why the price in bittrex is much lower than polo ?

Thanks

It's because Polo has temporarily disabled deposits and withdraws of Sia. Good moment to buy the dip in Bittrex, I guess, we may never see price under 500 satoshi again.
I see, thanks i will create account on bittrex and buy some BTC worth of SC.
