Jetro Willems has claimed his Liverpool transfer stunt was merely a joke after coming into some criticism.
The highly-rated PSV Eindhoven left-back took to social media platform Snapchat to post a fake image of him signing for Liverpool.
The picture featured his own head photo-shopped on top of Georginio Wijnaldums body after his fellow Dutchman put pen to paper on his £25million move from Newcastle United.
Liverpool, who are already in the market for a new left full back after selling Brad Smith to Bournemouth, will be keen to add competition for the faltering Alberto Moreno.
