How to I get the GPU model to show next to each card under GPU settings.  Some of my miners seem to have it working by default:

And others are completely blank:

I have defined a number of GPU profiles and have them associated with GPU's on various mining hosts.  I have a total of 12 Managed Miners at this point, and they all share the following path and credentials:

Despite that, after a restart, neither Afterburner nor Afterburner Remote Server appears to be running.  So I have to RDP into each miner and manually start those to apps, before I'm able to access GPU settings from my host running AM.  The AM Remote Agent is of course also installed on all the miners, and it starts the mining program(s) just fine and I can reboot the remote computers just fine.  But, like I said, neither Afterburner nor Afterburner Remote Server appears in the system tray.  The GPU's do start mining with the correct clock and power values that are defined in Afterburner on each rig, but the tray icon is not there, so I can't make adjustments from AM without first going to each rig.

Each managed miner is running latest Win 10 Pro and the only login account that exists on each computer, is my Microsoft Account, so that is the Remote Windows account I specify under Options/MSI Afterburner as per the above screen shot.  And all the miners are set to automatically login with my MS Account credentials.

Love the program, but these little annoyances are driving me nuts!

I can help with that. Your solution didnt work for me either. Afterburner remote server just didnt start with windows startup.
How I sorted it out is:
1. install msi afterburner, go to settings and check, "start with windows" and "start minimized".
2. download msi afterburner remote server, put it somewhere, for example, in C:\Program Files\ etc....
3. go watch this tutorial how to make programs start on startup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3krml2Hm8Sk
4. at one point, when he talks about "trigger", "at log on", "delay it by 30s", dont delay it. Let it run straight away.
5. go here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/69693-enable-disable-startup-delay-windows-10-a.html
6. download Disable_Startup_delay.reg, or do manual registry edit. Run that Disable_Startup_delay.reg.
7. Now restart pc, all should start now with windows, both Msi afterburner and remote server.

Are you saying that your whole rig crashes because a misconfigured mining software?  That's a bad situation.  There's a couple of things you can do.  Disable the rule that initiates the reboot sequence with the smart plugs until you can troubleshoot the problem.  When done, turn the rule back on.  Another thing you can do is hover your mouse over the stop button and as soon as AM kicks on the mining software click stop immediately... to keep the mining software from progressing to the point where it crashes the whole rig.  You can also disable the autostart miner from the managed miner or profit miner.

Its not crashing, Im asking just in case Smiley

Hi,

If this is for the auto start of a miner after reboot, there is actually a setting in the Options dialog, Advanced section, that I added quite recently for this. "Delay auto start of miner after reboot".

Thats it. That works flawlessly.

Also, where do I specify the OC settings for my Gpus that should be applied after system restart ?

Guys, is there any way how to add delay before "autostart miner" kicks in ?

What I mean is, lets say, you do overclocking or something that may cause the mining to become unstable. System freezes, you restart it with "smart plug", system boots, but will load unstable profiles and start miner = crash again.
Is there any way how to add timer(delay) before the miner starts automatically so meantime you can make changes if needed. (using AM + EWBF for zclassic).
When I wasnt using AM, i had this "timeout 120" in the miners .bat file.

And guys, with EWBF miner, can u also use other commands like --fee 0 --tempunits C --templimit 50 etc, within AM ? or the commands it supports are limited or it supports all commands what EWBF supports ?

Hi guys.

Does this program support EWBF miner?

Yes, it's built in.

If so, is there any guide how to set it up ?

You don't need to set it up.  AM will set the command line correctly.  You just need to define a pool, a miner, and then tell the miner to use EWBF on that pool.  AM does all the work from there.

Is this program heavy on resources  ? CPU/memory/GPU
Thanks!!!  Smiley

Not especially, no.  I run it on a simple virtual machine on one of my low-end vmware nodes.  The node has a low-end Athlon 5350 CPU.  I gave the VM two cores and 4GB of RAM.  It runs fine... runs an average of 15% CPU on that piddly VM with the resources given to it.

Ok perfect. And please tell me, is there any decrease of Sols when using AM ? I want to stay at max Sols obviously. Thanks!

You cannot compare hashrate reported by the pool so precisely.
It is calculated with the actual shares that you send.

Therefore, it vary depending on the day you mine, the difficulty, the number of miners, the pool hashrate,  network congestion, the latency, luck factor, and so on...

Better run your own tests... Lots of smart words put in one sentence but have no meaning all together.
lol u cant use pools numbers to compare. once ur up and once down.

Any improvement, been a while since a good upgrade?
No need to hurry when making 300k a month.

very true lol ... Ppl are paying for "no support".  With this kind of money he should be working on that program 24/7  Angry

I actually advocated EWBF earlyer, but sticking with DSTM now Smiley Test ended with average 3049 EWBF vs 3099 DSTM. 50 free hashes? Sounds good for me... --fee 0 didn't helped EWBF. And at least in my case i still see 2% less shares then reported by miner. And even some say they see 1% reduce it still does not save EFBW.

And this is GDDR5X cards witch presumably should have worked better on EFBW.

P.S. I am not related to DSTM or EFBW in any way, long time used both but recent discussion in DSTM thread pushed me to do a test myself. Believe me or not, this was exactly same machiene of 6x1080 (non ti) not tweaked in any way for one or another miner, and it was not even restarted during test period.

So for us miners it is actually bad, DSTM does not have competition and would get out even with 3% fee....
lul thats stupid man.
ewbf = 3049
dstm = 3099 - 2% = 3037

Why use DSTM if earning less ? Makes no sense. And yes, --fee 0 works in EWBF.

Why do you say "GDDR5X cards witch presumably should have worked better on EWBF"? Based on what?

DSTM stated that he will look into GDDR5X optimisation, and someone advocated EFBW to be better on GDDR5X cards here.

yes EWBF works better with GDD5X(1080, 1080Ti).

Windows version is not?

We will have it, sooner or later Smiley

I think this thread alone will push DSTM to improve his miner or at least make the fee adjustable. Good job

Charging 2% here from all profits is just ridiculous , this guy is making millions monthly yet he hides behind anonymity and brilliant "customer service" (yes, you are paying him).

This pretty much.

Here its a working program for fee remove

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2800586.0

I DO hope you can get it working under Windows 10. Cheers  Kiss

Any 1080 (Non-Ti) users here??? How about your hashrate when using DSTM miner???

Yes, standard 1080 FE, running 0.9V(85% TDP), can get ez 2000MHz, but doing 1974MHz, watercooled, keeping it at about 37C, XOC bios(may affect sols in a negative way), +550 on mems.
Doing 570Sols with EKWB. DSTM is not good for GDDR5X cards(1080, 1080Ti).
If you can do 570 with EKWB with 0 fee, why would u do 570 x 0.98 (2% fee)= 558.6 with DSTM? Doesnt make sense.

Then you and the fecker guy should stop complaining about the fee. Take it or leave it, bitching about it won't change it as dtsm stated he won't change it.
And you mistr stop talking for him. Thanks Smiley

Like I said... GDDR5X cards have crap support and dont yeld any exceptional Sols.

Make better support for 1080/1080Ti, give us more sols, and I am sure more ppl will use DTSM and will even be "ok" with the fee.....  Roll Eyes

Unless this happens, and unless he realizes that this should be no.1 priority for him, I will still say EKWB is better for any 1080/1080Ti rigs.

As devs are making hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars per month, how about donating a portion of that to good causes like what https://pineapplefund.org/ is doing? That's what I would do if I were in their position. Atleast something to consider.

Lol, sure he wont do it. If he is not able to even consider to lower the fee(optionally at least, default :2%) and help the "poor" who are trying to make up some money so they can buy some nice holiday to spend with their families then I doubt he would give anything to donations. He and his "mates" even considered to increase it lol. What a joke. Like ..... earning 540$ an hour(13k a day) is not nuff. He needs 100k a day rite. Wait what?Huh? 100k? no. Lets make it 200k a day. They always said money are changing ppl. They change your personality. Thats true.

This sounds silly, but would it hurt him if he was earning 10k instead of 13k a day ? I doubt it. But would it help a person earning 1k to get extra 200$? yeah lol.
Greed is everywhere.  Roll Eyes

............if only there was a proper support for GDDR5X cards, 1080 and 1080Ti...

what would be cool is if DEV for EWBF picked back up see how many stay here .. sorry i have issues with ass holes who are greedy...If i Understand it right dstm was gonna raise the fee sigh .... .... i guess 13 k a day wasn't enough they need more ...So that said and to make others think they won which they didn't I'm not using DSTM any more and going back to EWBF ...... I don't feel like I'm being fucked using EWBF or Using CM for that matter ... GL  DSTM i hope your Greed does you in Smiley .....

well on my 1080ti's i can get 3.4-3.6sol/w. my cards are hot tho, up to 70C. Im getting about 685-695 sols with 80% tdp. If they were running at <50C, I bet you can get close to 4sol/w

I've had better luck with higher clocks (sometimes drastic) with dstm.  Course every Rig, PC and Software is different with each configuration slightly.  Just to see if there was a major difference again, I tried the EWBF with the --fee 0 option on one of my 1060's.  I was getting 305-308 sols average.  DSTM same settings 322 sols average.  So with a 6.5 dev fee I'm getting 8-11 more sols during mining.  Not much but quicker but still in the positive column to the tune of a few extra bucks a month (given the markets current drop in price).

Well, my GTX 1080 that is in my daily rig is watercooled. Doing 2000Mhz with 0.9v(85% TDP that would be), at max 37C. Efficiency over 4sol/w... I tried 2200MHz, which my card can do ez, but not getting more sols to be honest...

Well my exp here is
With 1080, im getting 565-570 Sols, on EWBF
With DSTM, about 550sols, - 2% fee = 540 sol = nah not gonna use DSTM

With my 1080Ti rigs, I see some slight improvement over EWBF, but If I take 2% fee into consideration, then Im at the same speed as with EWBF.

So....using DSTM Im not getting anything extra, in fact i would be losing $$.

ANd then, if it starts to crash, I have to redo my OC? and lower it = less Sols = even less$? Cheesy

Nah thanks. Kiss

Well first of all, I would expect the owner to respond. Other ppl should stay quiet. You are not his bodyguard or anything so ...stay small, use whatever program u want to use and thats it. No need to come here and talk for him while it should be him talking for himself. period.

Other than that, yes Im using EWBF miner with 0.5% fee. he abandoned the project, but still he created the program so I will give him 0.5%. If he kept updating he would get more. Simple.

But giving out 2%(and Im saying it again, IT IS MORE THAN 2%, check google and search for proofs), thats just no. its not justified. If the program was 10% better than EWBF's that I would say "its not reasonable to use EWBF anymore"....

Im out, until the owner speaks. Pce...

2% fee is normal, no mining program would be lost, no profit, I do not understand why it's still being solved, work has to pay

Yeah checking that https://zcash.flypool.org/miners/t1NEpmfunewy9z5TogCvAhCuS3J8VWXoJNv/payouts

Making 20 Zcash a day = 13000$, 390000$ a month.
Yeah I m quite sure 2% is REALLY NEEDED, it cant be less cuz ...getting 13k a day is not nuff.... lel

...rly...
