Re: Do you think that Bitcoin's price will still drop nearly below $9000?

I don't think the price will go much below 9000 even if it tests that level again. It seems that the true bottom should be around 7-8k based on my interpretation of the graphs of the last years.

Re: Crypto Bloodbath..

The crypto market are currently all in red. It seems that there is a bloodbath. How long do you think will it take and what do you think is the reason behind it? Is it just a massive price correction or is it the end for the crypto world? Just want to know your opinion about it.

I've seen a lot of reasons thrown around and guess it's a combination of them all. Firstly as you said a simple correction. Secondly uncertainty around south korea and China's positions in the market and how they're going to regulate crypto. Thirdly the lunar new year coming up and many selling off to fund expenses. Fourthly all US transactions reportedly coming under taxation in future. It's not the end though, the recovery will come in time, crypto has survived much worse than this.

Re: What to do in this Dip
by

At moment i have a large list of coins. most i had bought at prices low, while some i am taking a loss at moment.
with recent dips going on. some are below, as its now a buyers market
should i still eventually invest in more BTC? ETH and LTC

should i sell off some alt coins and re buy at a lower price, since everything is still falling?
thoughts?
thanks

Personally I think the bottom is near but we can never be sure of that, given that I wouldn't risk trying to sell and rebuy. As you said, right now the smart money is buying, if you've got some spare capital then go ahead and invest it, many coins will have sharp and strong recoveries coming up soon. If you haven't got any spare capital you're just going to have to wait it out.

Re: job and trading together..

I think I can earn limited amount of money every month. I want to invest my money in trading. How can I get a good
a good amount profit every month??How I research the market? How to find out the good coin to invest? Thanks in advance ....

On strategy I use is just to look for coins that have major updates etc coming up, these coins will often have a pump and I aim to profit from that. I trade BTC to these alts and aim to hold my bitcoin mostly so I can grow the amount I have and benefit from its price increases. I find this isn't too much work for me so I can manage it along side other commitments.

I would sell all my bitcoins if the money I would receive could allow me to retire and live a comfortable life.

Re: How do you deal with loss?

I try to deal with loss by taking a break, often after a loss you are upset or angry and so it's not good to keep trading. I take a walk or play some video games to clear my mind, then when I'm clear minded I get back to it and deal with my loss by making a profit

Re: Patience and Holding
by

It was earlier a most frequently used idea to sell bitcoins and invest in altcoins so that they could increase their volume of bitcoins when altcoin price increases. But that seems not working now since bitcoin price is steadily increasing. So, you have rather done a wrong thing by selling your bitcoins and buying altcoins. Next time, don’t get panic and just patiently hold your bitcoins in a long term basis to get huge profits.

It is still perfectly possible to grow your bitcoin by investing in alts, most won't outperform bitcoin in the long term but some will. Then there is the short term and if you can accurately predict jumps in prices you can really grow your bitcoin.

Of course i suggest to no one going all in, but let's see what will be the answers here.

 Wink

It depends on for how long we were forced to hold, if longer than a month or so then ethereum, if less than a month I wouldn't pick eth as I don't think it's the best entry point right now and I'd prefer to wait till around 400 usd.

Re: Excellent Conversation Starter?

Ask them about their job. This usually ends up with you being attentive and interested in their respective profession. It's such a great conversation opener because it already shows the personal side of the one you're talking to.

I feel like this is the general go to conversation starter but I'm not a fan of it, I feel like people are too defined by their work and I don't like that. I try to ask people about their passions and their dreams, it's maybe a bit more personal but it's such a better conversation and for some people they may end up talking about their work anyway. Or you could talk about the weather  Roll Eyes

Re: Ethereum in 5 years

It is so difficult to predict what can unfold in the next 5 years but I expect ethereum to be at least $1000, frankly it would not surprise me to see it reach a similar level to that of which bitcoin is currently at. If cryptos continue to be adopted ethereum unless replaced will continue to see massive growth.

Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect

It is funny because bitconnect was one of the first things that caught my interest around bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, I heard about it and obviously did not buy in to it and quickly realised it was a ponzi scheme but I was intrigued as to how it could exist, that reason is because of all the success around cryptocurrencies in general, there is too much easy money that such a thing can exist.

I don't see anything wrong about same sex marriage as long as you and your partner are happy being together and not making any circumstance that will hurt other people.

Exactly, people should be left to do what they want to do, as long as they don't try and imprint it on to anyone else or force that their way is the right way then there is no harm to it.

Re: Bitcoin vs Cryptocurrency - Inequality
by
ferrydriver

Today I happen to notice the Bitcoin price has gone up to 5400 level. Why there is no big activity in other alt coins. I feel 54% of market cap is Bitcoin. So does it mean alt coins have no value.

I feel there big inequality or all other all coins in no way par with bitcoins as it is market leader and it is distancing itself from others in Price.

I feel that this gap will only close over the years, Bitcoin is the market leader and really has lead to all of the other coins but eventually they will grow larger and BTCs market share will fall. Right now a lot of outside money from investors is in BTC and BTC only

Re: What would benefit bitcoin more?

The biggest benefit to bitcoin is always going to be greater real world use, this could be brought about by all of those mentioned but I think the most effective would be by more sites accepting it. For example major retailers such as amazon accepting bitcoin would be absolutely huge and lead to an enormous price spike in my opinion.

Re: what is the safest way to protect you bitcoins?

Use a hard or paper wallet but most importantly be sensible and safe, don't give out your information to anyone and always ensure that you have backups in case your PC goes kaboom! There are too many stories of people with bitcoins stuck in a busted hard-drive or likewise
