test it with:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -benchmark 2

it will use just ~1GB of ram for DAG maybe rx5700 can show real speed under some memory footprint

The problem is on driver level and it isn't related to DAG size - as far as I know. I tried to run a benchmark but the result is nearly the same (instead of 3,5MH/s I got 3,6MH/s   Grin Grin )

Why don`t try benchmark mode for DAG 1 or so..

Did anyone try the latest version (Claymore 15) with NAVI cards ?

I'm getting:
5700         @3 Mh/s
5700XT      @3.5 Mh/s

with 19.8.1 drivers and win10

Unfortunately, here I experience the same.. nothing has changed.  But if you read Claymore's latest post he added a PS:

"PS. AMD still has no public Navi drivers with DAG-fix, so currently 5700XT shows a very bad hashrate. But AMD already solved this issue and they promise to release public drivers soon..."

So we have to wait for new AMD driver..  Undecided

yes, I tried, but nothing has changed. 3,5MH/s on a 5700XT.

But if you read Claymore's latest post in the dual miner topic he added a PS to his post:

nanominer v1.5.1
@Grumpy-Dwarf Grumpy-Dwarf released this 18 hours ago

Added Ethash binaries for AMD Radeon RX 5700 and AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT cards. Performance is awful but maybe it will boost with next driver update.

https://github.com/nanopool/nanominer/releases

tests?

I got "No GPU devices were detected" error with Nanominer. Claymore's Dual Miner and PhoenixMiner can detect the card, so I don't know what's the problem with Nanominer. Btw I think that "awful" means ~3-4MH/s for Ethash mining with RX 5700, so the same what I can get using the other softwares.

I hope that the above mentioned developers will update their miner soon - but it won't be easy because this is a totally new architecture.

Sir Claymore,

Is there any chance that you update this miner soon to support the new AMD RX 5700/XT cards? I can't wait to see my new cards mining ETH  Roll Eyes Wink

hi,

ethermine.org pool is down for ~30 minutes, do you know anything about that issue?

I am not certain about that issue mate, but first thing to do is you must first check you cooling systems and other hardware. I've also encountered overheating but not like that pool is being downed. To determine that you must always back to basic so that with step by step troubleshooting you will eventually solve that problem with no hassle, and lesser time so you can continue the operation again.

If you go to Pool Ethermine website ( https://ethermine.org/ )you will see that last block was mined 4h ago... so I do not think it is the miner "cooling systems and other hardware"

It caused by a datacenter-issue. Great respect to Ethermine.org as how they managed this server-outage: https://medium.com/@bitfly/eu-stratum-mining-server-outage-postmortem-60f00e4c4411

thx claymore 390x made 1200 h/s

Those things need a nuclear power plant run.
LOL you just need inverter... 50% discount for paying electric

Hm.. can you please explain it?
I think beside Inverter we still need Solar Panel for that.

ah.. OK, thanks..

Something new in ethereum classic  Roll Eyes
Emerald Wallet — Now in beta, lots of UI/UX improvements.
Mantis — In alpha, a completely new node software that promises to be fast and stable.
Daedulus — In alpha, a brand new wallet that will use Mantis as its backend supporting both Classic and Cardano blockchains.
Cross-Chain ECNS — Plans to support naming across chains. Classic gets .etc, Expanse gets .exp, Ubiq gets .ubq. Users get an easier time sending money.
My Ether Wallet/Classic Ether Wallet — they are getting better integration of Classic with MEW.
ClassicMask — MetaMask for the Classic network. Fans of the plugin can now have the same experience on Classic!

Wow, that sounds very interesting!

when i mine ETH with 5X RX470 i am getting 130 mh/s

but when i mine ETC with same 5X RX470 i am getting only 115 mh/s

why 15 mh/s  diffrence?

what drivers are u using, if you are using something other then block chain drivers then that is the answer as ETC is on a higher DAG then ETH

i am using 16.12.12 driver

can u suggest me which is good driver for my RX 470 4gb?

The new blockchain workloads driver (23aug) is which you should use for all AMD cards, solve the DAG file size issue. But only works on W10, download Afterburner 4.4.0 beta 16 too for OC and undervolt.

..or you can use the miner to set gpu and memory clock and voltage instead of using AB or any other software. read first post or readme.txt for more informations about these parameters.

What hashrates are you guys seeing for an 8GB RX580 Windows 7? I'm curious to see if this ends up being more profitable than ether+decred mining. Thanks!

Depends on the card and the clock/voltage settings, you will get about ~320sol/s stable. You can use any profitability calculator to compare ETH/ZEC mining profitability, for example: whattomine.com

Hello Guys,

I experience some problem with my rigs: the miner set DAG epoch #139, then #128, then #139 again... and that goes on for hours. Restarting the miner or the rig doesn't help.

I use ethermine.org pool.

Does anyone experience the same? Do you have any ideas? Is it a pool related problem?

Someone pls put memory in order, from best to worst:
samsung, micron, hynix, elpida

I always have been told : Hynix, Samsung, Elpida, Micron

Hm.. I use a lot of cards and my experience is that Samsung is better then Hynix. So my preferred order is Samsung, Hynix, Elpida, Micron.

Nah, GPU mining isn't going away anytime soon. AMD just wants to save face with gamers by playing down the fact mining is the reason there are no AMD GPU's available for over two months now and GPU prices are jacked up.

I'm absolutely agree with your, this is just politics. Wink

@Claymore: Thank you for your work. Can you please share with me/us your instructions about updating our rigs?

I have several RX470 and RX480 rigs, all cards are working with modded bios (only memory timing changed).

First, I updated the AMD driver to 17.7.2 (withoud DDU, I just installed the new version), then restarted the rig. Second, I ran atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5, and reboot again. I logged in, started CDM 9.8. The miner works, but I can't use WattTool to set clock and voltage parameters. What should I repair, or did I miss something during the upgrading process?

AB and WattTool don't work with 17.7.2. So don't hurry to update your rigs. Also may be it's a good idea to wait new drivers from AMD that solve DAG issue if you don't want to update rigs twice.

Ahh.. OK, thanks. I misunderstood.. I thought that the DAG issue is solved already in 17.7.2. So we are waiting for the new driver, thank you for your quick answer.
