Re: Where do you see bitcoin in 10 years
by
fiatvacation

Honestly, I don't think that some countries would like the idea of bitcoin... They'll ban it in my opinion due to the danger of terrorism funds transfer anonymously as soon as they come to know more about bitcoin.

In some countries yes, and probably bitcoin would remain in online transactions, even if some countries ban them.. there would still be new users of it just like this days...
Most countries likely will not ban Bitcoin unless it becomes a giant entity threatening to disrupt the status quo like it did when it broke $1,000. That got Bitcoin onto most people's radar.

If it never reaches big numbers again, expect it to never really show up on any country's radar.

Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin?
by
fiatvacation
on 18/03/2016, 04:43:38 UTC
If I am earning more then my present job then I would think of getting full time on bitcoin, but its really hard and risky decision to make.

Ha ha ha.. I always thought of Bitcoin as a side job. If you just run the miner, sit back and watch your earnings grow. It's like you're working but instead the miner is doing all the work for you.
Else join in any signature campaign make the good profit from that as well.
A lot of Bitcoin comes down to it being a more passive income rather than something that should be treated as a job, unless, of course, you really want to make it into a job.

I wish I had a miner, but there is no way that I can actually afford that kind of investment, and I'd probably break it too.

^^ not sure if you're aware. but this have happened before and the site got up and running again. meanwhile there's a lot of alternatives around which you can use.
The guy probably doesn't know what he is talking about  Cheesy

It's good to see that something like this has happened before and was successfully resolved, gives me more confidence that they'll have it running again soon.

Re: Best way to manage money?

Managing one's finances is kinda hard specially if you are on a tight budget. But if your are really serious to do such, you need to seek advice, don’t feel ashamed to seek support from others. Seek advice from a financial expert who will have a lot of experience dealing with problems like yours. Your financial adviser will come up with a realistic plan to help you sort out any money difficulties.
Personally I use Reddit, and if you're ever having a hard time I would recommend checking out /r/personalfinance. They seem to have helped a lot of people save more of their money and get rid of their debt quicker than a lot of people would be able to.

The amount of time/space/primary memory/efforts taken to make a new app just like preev is > (greater than) time taken to open your browser and check the rates from preev. The time and space complexity decreases if you have book marked the site and added it your home page.

I've had preev as my homepage for a year now. almost never cleared my cache. it's still down.  Roll Eyes
Well I guess we'll see if they do get it fixed, it was always fun watching the massive up and down swings of the market.

Re: $250 here we come!!!
by
fiatvacation
on 14/03/2016, 00:06:06 UTC
What if we all are wrong? What if price is already highest high?
We can expect dump and further dropping i remember price was 250$ few months before.  Roll Eyes
prices rise ... you're lucky and you lose prices down
the price is definitely going to rise because of various reasons such as the halving happening soon and people adopting bitcoins, i hope we will reach the new all time high right now as it would give me some money

though of course it is unpredictable as with the price of bitcoin everything can happen and no one knows the real outcome in the end
As we slowly work towards the halving chances are the value will go up, and then it will likely break $600 or even higher, depending on how much the market decides.

I think miners will likely force it up to $750, they'll still need to make money, pay their bills, and do other things as well.

Re: Mining coins save or sell it?

I would say save whatever you can, and only spend what is necessary to sustain the mining.

If you're barely breaking even, then I would seriously reconsider your choice and maybe see what else you can add or change to make more. There isn't much of a way to save if you can barely scrape by as it is.

Re: Central banks beat Bitcoin at own game with rival supercurrency
by
fiatvacation

If people want something centralized, they'd be using FIAT. A centralized crypto currency would destroy the entire purpose of itself.
Exactly, there is absolutely no point behind having a centralized cryptocurrency. It is literally no different than fiat. Every "feature" it has are things already offered by traditional fiat systems, but fiat does it better.

Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin?
by

To get women to use Bitcoin, give them a reason. They don't have any reason to start using Bitcoin aside from why everyone else here uses Bitcoin, and they're all more than content with using fiat money to pay for their things.

Re: The future of the paper money
by
fiatvacation
on 13/03/2016, 18:30:20 UTC
Paper money is more durable than electronic money. Obviously, you cannot accept electronic money any place that is not specifically set up to take it, or when power or internet is out. I'm not sure you'll ever eliminate physical currency for that reason.

I agree with you, especially in my country there are many place that hard to get internet. So paper money very usefull on that place. I think paper money will permanent in some place.
agree. this time not all the places in the world connected to the internet. so digital era can not be implemented at this time of paper money will always be valuable.

Yes just think of poor countries where there is no access to internet and mainly people are paid on daily wages in fiat, so they will only use fiat as they don't have any other option for their spendings.

Agreed, the future of paper money is safe as I don't think that bitcoin can have an impact on it as people will use only those currency that they are comfortable and they will continue to use which is easy for them.
Fiat will always have it's place for the exact reason you detail, people are comfortable with the current system and don't have any intent on changing something that already works well, in their eyes.
Most people who have studied sociology or economics already know this is what is going to happen, it's not something that is unexpected  Cheesy

I'm not particularly well versed with the trust system on this forum, but it does seem pretty irrelevant considering that anyone can put anything they want on someone's profile.

Maybe there will be a change for something more relevant in the future?

That made someone's day! Almost as good as finding a block Wink
yeah i think they will be very hapy with that fee Cheesy
Whoever mined that block is likely going to be very, very happy with their luck and enjoy a nice, what would that be, ~60% bonus?

That or some mining-pool owner just got himself a nice amount to spend.

A Chinese pool too, they seem to have all the luck these days. Must have been nice to see another $6000 pop up along with the normal 25BTC

A song you gotta hear: #DumpYourBank

http://images-cdn.moviepilot.com/images/c_fill,h_1688,w_3000/t_mp_quality/g2qljae2jsfxxh5s4gmm/fedora-guy-speaks-out-what-it-s-like-to-be-made-into-a-mean-meme-759655.jpg

Listen to the song in SoundCloud

#DumpYourBank

Verse 1

I ain't choose to bank
the banks enslaved me
ever since I was a childrens i been payin fees
and now i'm *#!kin pissed
at this grimy system
goldman's pinchin' my shillins with all the lies they spittin
they take your moolah and say that they're gonna save it
and that's the reason these charges are on your statement
but the truth is so far from the s*#! they tell us
they take your cheddar and lend it to other fellas
at downright shameful rates
to people with no money
so that they end up indebted until their grave is muddy
if you can't pay it back
they repossess your home
and every item with some value that you ever owned
then when their faulty system breaks and has a major crash
they print more paper to save it but then it makes your cash
worth significantly less than it's value when you earned it
inflation is the way they keep us as indentured servants

Hook 1
Dump Your Bank Bro
they're nothin but a bunch of crooks

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
demand they show what's in their books

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
the people wanna know the truth

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
they best stop stealin all our loot

Dump
Your
Bank

Verse 2

don't think that, this rap is just about me b*#!hin
bout some crap, that's got me feeling like a victim
lets look past, the bankers actin mad illicit,
and face facts, it's bound to happen in this system
when profit is by law their #1 priority
it's comes as no surprise they're treatin people horribly
the corporate life's a race where sheep are forced to greed
you turn em into rats and of course they're hordin cheese
but you can, choose to see past this illusion
if you stand, up and move to new solutions
here's the annn, swer to this financial pollution
lets demand, to decentralize the ones who rule it
i'm talkin bout that bitcoin yes you best believe
where no one's in control no central powers gets to freeze
your funds if they decidin they ain't likin what you do
If you like your freedom I think bitcoin is for you

Hook 2
same as Hook 1

Bridge 1

Dump Your Bank Bro
Dump Your Bank
Get Some Bitcoin
Dump Your Bank Bro

Dump Your Bank Bro
Dump Your Bank
Get Some Bitcoin
Dump Your Bank Brooooo

Bridge 2

if you like the idea of money that's secure
that you can send for a penny anywhere on the earth
in 20 minutes no kiddin ain't no bulls*#! boy
to save the children for really go get some bitcoin

Hook
Dump Your Bank Bro
they're nothin but a bunch of crooks

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
demand they show what's in their books

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
the people wanna know the truth

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
Go get some Bitcoin son

Dump Your Bank....Bro

Back to the lab...
I like the use of that picture in this context  Cheesy

I doubt there would be many people here actually willing to "dump their bank", or at least not have any intention of actually fighting the banks. Chances are it would be the typical excuse of it being too much work, or actually having to go outside...

I am interested in discussing more about Bitcoin with like-minded people, and I intend on assisting the Bitcoin economy any way I can.
