that is just another stupid website in series of bullshit websites that are created to spam and earn money. their articles are pure bullshit without any research. you shouldn't even be reading them let alone post the link on a forum to direct traffic to their bullshit.

Quote
BitInfoCharts found that of the 11 million Bitcoin holders in the world, only 1,000 of them (approximately 0.009 percent) control 35.4 percent of all of the BTC in circulation. Of those 1,000, the top ten account holders control 5.96 percent of all BTC.

this is riddled with bullshit that it is coming out of authors ears.
1. there is no "accounts" to hold bitcoin and you have no way of telling who holds what and when an address has X amount of bitcoin if it belongs to a single person or a group or a business. for example most of the top coins in bitinfocharts belongs to exchanges.

Quote
Cryptocurrency expert Bob McDowall believes that these major ‘hodlers,’ colloquially knowns as ‘whales,’ have the power to manipulate the Bitcoin network.
the author is dumb enough that he doesn't even know bitcoin is not Proof of Stake. it is Proof of Work. it doesn't matter how much bitcoin you own, you can not manipulate the "network" with them.
in other words expert my ass Grin

thank you.

What we think about bitcoin network? How much is it controlled? The Bitcoin network is much more highly centralized than most people think.

Re: Refurbished HTC one and security issues and Chinese seller

What is the exact message?

Lots of banking apps won't load on rooted phones. Is the phone rooted?

I wouldn't be inclined to trust a Chinese phone direct from the factory, let alone something supplied by a third party, let alone a refurbished one.

Yes, it is rooted. Banking apps shows it is rooted. What does exactly rooted phone means? Isn't it secured?
This is also a reason why some mobile app doesnt load where it might be a rooted one, When we do talk about rooted phones It gives you privileges to modify the software code on the device or simply means you unlock it beyond manufacturer default settings. You can actually unroot your phone but if you are not expert on that thing then better not to do it because you would really just brick your phone.

Yes, it is rooted. Banking apps shows it is rooted. What does exactly rooted phone means? Isn't it secured?

It gives you much more control over the software. Normal Android won't let you, or will strongly advise you not to install apps from outside the Google Play store. Rooting lets you install anything from anywhere, and often that's the point but it also means the app you install from elsewhere could be malicious and Google won't be able to warn you.

Because of that most banking apps won't install on a rooted phone for security reasons. I'm not sure if any will install.

What might be worth doing is looking for a factory ROM and reinstalling non rooted software. It should be a possibility for most phones. If you wipe everything and start again you should be good to go.

thank you

If you ever ask yourself how is it to have millions of $ worth of Nano check this account : https://www.nanode.co/account/xrb_3hmcxznhr6edmq14gmwaxwippcjhb5m6fs5633qktk688iysbnq96oyrtbe7

He/She is selling 40 000/50 000 Nano daily (some say it is just moving them), but it seems that coins are selling on Kucoin exchange. I do not say it is only thing that push price down, there is also BTC price which affect the whole market - but this seller is helping that Nano is losing value day by day. There is over 1 million Nano on that account, and it seems that all will be sold. Maybe this is not a such bad news, cheap coins will get new owners.

So, dumping can continue more 14-20 days!!!

I bought a refurbished HTC one from Ali Express. I can not use netbank on that mobile as netbank shows security warning and netbank app does not work on that phone. But I use that phone to send and withdraw coins from wallets. Is there any possibility to be hidden app or malware that can send my wallet key to someone(hacker)? Is it risky to use that phone for wallets.

Re: We had big three buying oportunities in last 6 months !
by
finblockchain1
on 24/05/2018, 13:55:09 UTC
1. First one was 6th February. (BTC around $5800 and market cap around 280b)
2.Second one was around April first week. (BTC around $6500 andmarket cap around 255b)
3. Third one "now". I think this is another opportunity who missed last two. I think we can see the price around ($6800 to $7100, just my opinion)

Good news that, we are making lower high each of these stages. One day chart shows we do not have much momentum to deep much lower.

You are correct, although the 3 one will be around $7200-$7300 based on my speculation. But as far as buying bitcoin, was able to get at the $6500. Actually it was a double bottom that we have witnessed in April so I do hope that at least any of the 3 buying opportunities really gives us time to re-enter the market once again. But I don't think that bitcoin will go below $7K this time as there as a lot of buying support at this price.

You are right. Buying opportunity !!

Re: Why Kucoin's trading volume is very low?
by
finblockchain1
on 21/05/2018, 22:49:17 UTC
Kucoin has earned a good reputation as a crytpocurrency exchange. But its trading volume is very low. What is the main reasons behind it. Though it is a new exchange, ETH/BTC 24h volume is 2.2 m where HitBTC volume is BTC/USDT 68m and ETH/BTC 27m.

Obviously not many traders are using Kucoin, as per coinmarketcap: (Per 24 Hour Trading Volume)

7. HitBTC
38. Kucoin

Hitbtc is among the top 10 exchanges around, although if you are going to look around the forum there are a lot of scam accusations against them. Just like you said Kucoin is fairly new, maybe it still hasn't gain the trust as of now that's why not much trading is going around on their exchanges.
Anything has a process and cant really be achieve overtime. We do see the potential on ranking up but if volume would still remain in a matter of time then its expected that he wont able to move up because traders do make always prefer to trade up into other exchange than on Kucoin itself.Talking about issues then it cant really be avoided even on the top tiers or rankings do have its existing issues.
Kucoin is one of the best new exchanges and is moving up the ranks quite quickly. Just a few months ago it was around 45 and now you can see it has moved up to 38. I think it will go into the top 20 this year, lots of good coins and a reliable safe exchange to trade coins in.
Anything is possible that it would hit up on those ranking but it will still depend on how they would perform or giving out such good service among traders.

I wonder!! some say hitbtc is a scam! how it comes into top ten!

If you're looking at volume in terms of US dollars, then of course the volume crashed due to the fact that the prices of all the coins crashed (meaning that they're going to look like they have less volume in USD) If you compare this to the amounts of bitcoin they have volume in, it's not much of an issue at all -- check out this reddit thread for more in-depth explanations on the topic (https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin/comments/7rp089/volume_on_kucoin_what_happened/)

SwissBorg ( CHSB ) list new Exchange Livecoin

https://twitter.com/livecoin_net/status/960798236138266624

https://www.livecoin.net/en/news/view/598

Congratulation !

Wish you very happy trading !
This is good news, the team really worked hard for this. I hope CHSB will soon be enrolled in on other exchanges. Congratulations to the coin holders. It's time for you to trade. Good luck
SwissBorg will be listed on HitBtc, if we see an announcement on their site, CHSB should have been registered yesterday on February 5, but there is an internal technical delay to HitBtc where the SwissBorg team has no control, and team has been told it will be solved soon.

When Binance?
