i got alot of discarded. is it normal?

FoundBlocks   Getworks   Accepted   Rejected   HW       Utility     Discarded   Stale   LocalWork   WU              DiffA       DiffR        DiffS                  BestShare
    0                      12794    121364  1021     141433   13.61      7083190         7            146824619  14022.75  124276736  1045504             0                            0

Yes, the S2 manages to create a high amount of discarded shares.

edit: I could have swore I stumbled across a calculator that included discard calculations, but can't seem to find it just yet...

i read somewhere that kano has produced a much better FW but i havent seen or heard from anyone using it..yet

can you post a link?

I decided to leave this pool. I am really very worry about the "random" payout of this pool. It's slightly different than other pools.

This are my stats: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1KVYDjPFTDnBdzqKtsLhevVGLp8Baaognv

I'm always curious about how other people view things.

What is different between what you expect and how the pool actually works?
What kind of behavior do you want to see that you do not see?
Do you think it operates differently than it says it will?

Uninformed noobs. They join a pool and don't even read the FAQ.

i did's said anything wrong about this pool. I have 60 server, 30 were running on eligius the other 30 on another pool. I compared and i decided to leave eligius. Something wrong with that? Actually i compared many pools, eligius is the only pool with this payout policy, and yes it was my mistake i did not read the FAQ's

30 servers pointing to a pool of which you don't know the payout system. You must be swimming in BTC.

well, there is nothing wrong with eligius pool. I was attracted because of the 0% fee, and i also checked the contributors in eligius pool, there are people with far more servers than me Smiley but as i said, it's trustable all is fine, just i don't agree to that payout policy and i left. this is all, case closed.

Is there some payout system with Eligius? Do they pay out once in 24 hours, or how do they handle this. Before i had to write a ticket to get 2.4 BTC, and now they are again cumulated 2.8 BTC. I am doing something wrong?

Usually, your miner has a BTC address for the account name.  The shares are credited to this account, and you can view them on the web.  They pay out at a default threshold.  It is all automatic, and the default are reasonable.  The threshold is something like 0.04 BTC at the moment.

If you publish your payout address, anyone can look at the statistics and see if anything seems odd.

Yes i know this, my threshold is set on 0.04 but unlike other pools, this one again don't pay out. My question was if some one does know in which intervals the threshold is being paid out. Every 24 hours, every 2 days or every 3 days. Any one got any ideea?

Despite all the douchebaggery of Ebay its relatively safe at least.. But still they get no excuse for their fees  Sad

100% agree with you, eBay is safe for buyer. Buyer can play with the seller as he want. If a seller is unlucky and find some scamer, in most of case the seller loosing 3 things; money, goods and reputation (negative feedback)

About fee i don't mind. If i would do google adwords to get customers, the charges would be much higer than the eBay fees...

Taking on any type of web development or graphics project. My latest project was http://burnercoin.biz
 But my website is masouthcoastdesign.com

Looks good! I'll definately send you a pm when I need something done.

You should never pay this guy by BTC, use paypal and pay him only after work is done. He took my job, took my 0.5 btc and dissapeared. I like his design, but he is a thief!

The complaints and people yelling that the pool is broken always seem to happen every time the pool has a run of bad luck, which does happen occasionally on every pool.

Rest assured that if your shares are being accepted, then nothing is broken on the pool side.

(As I was typing this we just found two blocks in a row... woot)

There were just a few funky things going onwith the pool payouts. for example my minimum payout is set to .4 btc, and yet on the 19th I received a payout of 0.31505007 BTC.

Luck is a real annoyance on pools Sad there are times on other pools I had blocks lasting five days!!!!

All fixed now, got my payout  Grin thank you very much for the prompt help, i sent a tip to your wallet.

I'm a designer from Boston, MA. I'm always looking for any type of work involving design, wordpress or ios dev. Working on my portfolio at the moment (http://masouthcoastdesign.com/) So i can offer extremely cheap work. PM me if interested.

Are you okay? When i can see my money back? If you don't want to accept a job, you also cannot take the deposit! Please return me back the deposit i paid to you! It's a shame i have to post here, but i sent you email and pm, no reaction, and since you deleted me from Skype twice, of course i am suspicious.

Another issue is coming up on these last 2 S2 units. If I reboot them for any
reason, they lose their mind and reset to factory. Any idea why???

Sorry if someone else posted this problem, sent an email to Bitmain and waiting to hear back.

Thanks

flash ur firmware sir

same problem here!
Where to download firmware from?

It won't help! You have to exchange the SD card and flash the image on it.

Apparently i was wrong, in my case i changed the SD cards and worked, but did not try to upgrade the FW.

Doesn't have to be a bit coin auction site though. Those are ebay fees and how they make their money even if they accepted BTC it would still be the same.

Would eBay or PayPal accept digital currency, it would be the end. eBay and PayPal is a "legal" criminal organisation. It's not about the fees, every one can ask as much fee as he want, but no one can open a business without an address or a company license..., except eBay and PayPal!

Try to find their contact details, business registration number or company address... You can't !

Typing in "ebay" into google and the right hand side has a box with details about the company. Among the details is this

Quote
Customer service: 1 (866) 540-3229 (Consumer)

It looks like you don't even need to go to their website to get their phone number

I can assure you that there is no address information about eBay or PayPal in HK.
