Someone once sued mcdonalds for their coffee being too hot.. lot of bored, out of work, lawyers in the US.

read your own link. that lawsuit was pretty justified. the coffee wasn't just "hot", it was hot enough to cause 3rd degree burns on the lady's genitals and thighs, which required extensive medical care. she wanted $20k to cover the medical costs - McD's offered her $800. fisheye - NewEgg takes up to 48 hours themselves to verify a gift certificate, then they send it out. You are complaining about third party processing times.
Not a problem. I figured it was probably something like that, but I was concerned because the email I got said I'd get it within 24 hours. That should probably be changed if it takes 48 hours to process

I ordered a newegg certificate yesterday afternoon. I was told I'd receive it within 24 hours, which has passed (it's been about 30). I don't mind so much if it's going to be a little longer, but I'd appreciate some communication so I don't worry that I gave away bitcoins for nothing. The certificate is going to be put towards a gift, so I'd really like it sooner rather than later.

haha. This sounds like a trollish OP, but yeah. I started mining on my existing graphics card, never planned to buy any hardware to mine faster, and never purchased bitcoins. I don't salivate over bitcoins as the currency of the future, and really, I just got interested because of the opportunity for easy money with very little risk (since my only investment has been the added electricity cost mining incurs.)

I understand the ramifications of solo mining. It may be unlikely that it may bear any serious fruit. But there is a certain amount of randomness as to who will solve the puzzle.
My thoughts are that if you have a machine running full time anyway why not solo mine on it as well? It would seem to me that consistency could be as important as TH/s. I would hesitate to say that it's useless.
well, why mine solo and possibly not get anything for months when you can join a pool and get a fairly steady payout? even if the pc is going to be running 24/7 anyway, mining does cause additional heat and power consumption since the GPU will be running at 100% instead of mostly idle.I understand the ramifications of solo mining.
