SpawnCoin

| Official Block Explorer |

Current Version: v0.1.3

Information:
SPAWN is one of the Newest Mineable coins to become available that possesses many great attributes.

1 - It is a Fungible Coin deploying the Cryptonight Turtle Algorithm
2 - It is CPU/GPU Mineable (Asic Resistant) which makes it an ideal coin for people to mine with their PC and Mac's and is open to anyone who would like to mine it.
3 - It has Scarcity value that most coins do not have.  Max Supply is 10 MILLION SPAWN compared to Billions or Trillions of supply for many coins out there

NEW Mining opportunities for CPU/GPU are becoming rarer with a move of many to POS, SPAWN is a welcome opportunity for those of us who missed the bitcoin mining heydey when BTC could still be mined on a home computer. SPAWN are fish eggs that grow into larger game fish. Here in is the value of coins like SPAWN who are among the few which have actually achieved fungible status. Couple this with a low mint max supply of ultimately 10 million SPAWN and out of the gate it has more real value than 95% of the coins on the market if you value PRIVACY in a world where that has become scarce. Start mining SPAWN and grow your crypto portfolio.

Specifications:

  • Name: SpawnCoin
  • Ticker: SPWN
  • Wallet Prefix: SPWN

Could someone explain what does this new strap command do? Does it worth to start experiment with it? Should we see better hashrate with it?

S9 firmware issue
by
fiucsavar
on 02/06/2019, 09:52:39 UTC
I have ordered a 3 new motherboards for my S9 antminers and they worked just fine for a while, but around a day ago they have started to mine to a different address than mine. The address is: 3CJgXokLQrRCQcEoftS7MbPDSXhXpX6P55.

And it my miner status page looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/QyNOIjf.

I did a google search of course, and I've found that this supposed to be some kind special software and it includes a developer fee as well. I would accept the dev fee if it was reasonable even if i have never wanted to use this firmware but it goes on my other miner for over 12 hours.

I'd like to get rid of it as soon as possible. I don't want to use other people work for free, and i would like to not mine for another individual either.
Reinstalling a genuine firmware only seems to solve the problem temporarily.

Any help would be appreciated.

The advice of BitMaxz's seems to have taken effect. Reflashing the firmware that way seems to have solved the problem.

Thank you for everyone helping me out.

The newest version of the miner doesn't read the config files as it used to.
I have copied over the old one that worked with the previous version just fine and now it just ignores it.

update : in the start_miner.bat file there are these 3 lines
"REM IMPORTANT: Replace the ETH address with your own ETH wallet address in the -wal option (Rig001 is the name of the rig)
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal 0x008c26f3a2Ca8bdC11e5891e0278c9436B6F5d1E.Rig001
pause"

if you delete the bold part, it will read your config files

Hello guys!

So I was able to access my miners, and brought one faulty home to do what you have suggested.
I did the control board recovery as BitMaxz suggested, and was able to do it, i have both lights flashing and accessing the miner, but I dont see the usual miner interface, this comes up rather:

https://imgur.com/a/guV64mZ

Any tips on how to advance?

philipma1957 you were right, the miners are running the 2017 software, at least that's what they show.

On the other hand, ive tested this in the past two days, they do stop hashing at 7pm my local time. this is getting more and more interesting.

I did install the 2019 march as well, yes since it didnt show any warnings i shouldnt- and i made the mistake of not reading on the net or asking here, but now they running the 2017 autofrequency version, but still not working.
It means i fucked up big time?
Is there a solution or i have to buy new motherboards?

Hello Guys, I'd like to ask the help of the community again.

My story in short version is the following:

I've got a small mining operation, and couple of days ago I needed to make space for a new miner, and I thought if I'm here,I'm going to replace my antminers to achieve a better airflow management. Unplugged them, placed them in their new place, plugged them back, and i DID NOT change anything. Same router, internet connection, psu, cables, everything and they have started to misbehave. By misbehaving I mean they've started to stop mining completely, rebooting them remotely did nothing to them, AND the normal way of restarting them physically failed as well, by plugging them out and in they were not able to start mining either. Right now,the only way to restart them is to reinstall their firmware and hope for the best, but still they will just simply stop mining and go into a circle of continuously restarting, or trying to restart at least.

The beginning of this restarting cycle can begin anywhere from 30minutes to 9-10 hours.

This happened to 6(!)of my total 9 antminers.

Another interesting thing that one or two can make is after not being able to hash, the green light is continuously on.

Here you can see my kernel log that the miner produces after it stops hashing:

Since then, I have tried to only run one machine, bought new router, new switch, new internet, new Ethernet cables, trying out compatible OFFICIAL firmware, but to no prevail.

I would really appreciate some new perspective, I might be missing something.

Thank you in advance,
Csavar.

Edit: I might have made the mistake - as it was pointed out- that i've installed the 2019 software and that may cause this problem. If that is the case, what are my options? I've tried since the "the package to fix upgrade failure" and installed the 2018 version, but that still doesn't seem to help.

Thank you for everyone who helped, it seems at the end the problem was at my "landlord's" part. It seems that connecting the other miner caused uneven power draw to the system, which in return caused the miners to continuously restart.

Today we were able to sort things out,and it seems the problem has been solved.

Thanks again for everyone who helped, and sorry, i would've never imagined there could be some power issue with the provider.

I might need a couple of days to access the miners, I'll post my findings here asap!

Thank you!

2 different antminer S9s wont mine on the same network

So,I have a very interesting problem.

I've ordered two used S9 antminers, set it up at home, ran both of them for 30-35 mintues(after each other, not at the same time) and after it i went to my mining storage, plugged in the two new miners, and after 5-10 minutes either of them is mining.

BUT

if i restart only 1-doesnt matter which one- it will mine without a hitch until i restart the other one as well and it starts mining. Then both them goes to "0ghs".

I've got 10 gpu rigs and 8 other antminers on this setup, so i dont think it should be a network connectivity problem, but im waiting for any suggestions if have!

the kernel of the one that currently mines

Final update 1/2

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who tried to help me.
Unfortunately the miner did not want to boot from ssd, tried every possible combinations.
I ordered new motherboard for it, it supposed to arrive in a couple of days, when it does ill update the post.

Thank you again for everyone.

Update:

As I've promised, here is my progression update on flashing the firmware on my miner:

I was able to get hold of my miner, the require tools-sd card, reader, etc. After disassembling it I've found out that my miner has a CRT0302 ""double board", which means, according the original site https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019493654-S9-series-S9-S9i-S9j-S9-Hydro-Control-Board-Program-Recovery that I need to shortcircuit the board.
Unfortunately , the official site doesn't do a very clear job(or just i dont understand it,but it doesnt really matter from my perspective Huh) of what should be connected to what out of the 4 different "pins". If someone could point it out to me I'd really appreciate it!

Yes, unfortunately it still gave me the "Error 413 Request Entity Too Large" problem.

Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I'll have access to the miner again, and will try the SD card recovery method you've linked me! I'll post the results here. And again, thank you for your help!

First of all, thank you for all of your replies!

As you have pointed out the probability of a network problem, I don't think that is the problem, I've got 9 other ASIC miners and 11 GPU mining rig on the network, all running fine for months now. Nevertheless, I have tried pinging the server, and it does work!

As BitMaxz suggested, I did a physical reset on the miner, actually had to do all 3 of them which resulted in the following:
1.The miner restarted and was showing the expected hashrate for mining with the default settings, and it had a Hardware Version and BMminer version as well.
2.When changing the settings to my own, it wasn't mining for 30-40 minutes
3.After hard resetting again, changing the settings it DID mine for me for like 10-15 minutes, it restarted a couple of times and now won't do anything without my restart-input and the Hardware and BMminer version are blank again.

The miner still doesn't allow me to upgrade the software, still showing the "413 Request Entity Too Large" problem. My S9 has an SD slot though, so i might need to try boot from there/flash from there?

One more thing, I have tried the setup with a new PSU now, and that did not help unfortunately.

I would like to thank you guys for helping me!

Hello guys, I'd like to ask your help of what should I do with my miner.

I had an S9 that worked for quite a while without problems, then it started to act funny. By this I mean it was running for a good 10-12-14 hours without a hitch, then it restarted and kept it doing every 15-35 minutes.

Steps I have taken:

1. Changed both of the fans. Didn't do anything, it worked for 10-14 hours and started to restart by itself again.
2.I did NOT try a different psu but you'll see that's another problemfix for another day.
3.Tried to update to the newest firmware-first mistake-, "Antminer-S9-all-201812051512-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz" which it actually did, despite that my has a C5 control board(if im right) but now it wasn't even working even with the required pool and worker data correct and waited the recommended 20-25mins to let it boot up.
Furthermore now both the "Hardware Version" and the "BMminer version" are blank.
4. Downgraded the software, to "Antminer-S9-all-201705031838-650M-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz", still nothing.
5. Wanted to upgrade to "Antminer-S9-all-201711171757-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz", but it wasn't able, and now im constantly getting a "413 Request Entity Too Large" problem.

I have tried everything that I could think of as of today, and everything I've done is listed above.

Thanks for the help in advance!
