ST:1  SS:81 NB: 2265 LW:37195

OK go ahead and laugh but I give up. What do these exactly mean in cgminer console? I've been mining for quite some time but I can not find any documentation on these. I like to play the guessing game but ...when I first started a while back I guessed HW meant hard worker so when my gpu had a 1000 of them I thought "damn that gpu is a hard worker"...lol!

In the order I guessed...
ST=???
SS= stupid shit, stale shares ?
NB= nice boobs, no boobs? Does cgminer look for that?
LW = longwong, length of work?

Seriously, its driving me nuts!

Since UltraCoinMiner is derived from Cgminer, the terminology is the same.

Head over to http://www.kaostheory.net/ and click "Understanding the Cgminer Interface". There you go.

Ok, it's nice to know another coing birth.

Since the developers stated that they do not ask any short-term reward, this means no pre-mine and no IPO, correct?

I guess it's just too good to be true to satisfy a team of 8 developers without any IPO/pre-mine though...

OMG orphaned galore  Angry

What causing this?

UTC does NOT have a DE-centralized network anymore.Congrats to miners insisting on just one (Nitro) pool.

Nothing wrong with the Stuhlman here, but this needs to change.Otherwise miners are going to see more orphans, who try to keep mining in other pools. That's what I suspect.

Why not somebody create P2P pool(s) for UTC? I'm not technically talented but I keep asking that question...

I've moved to leetpools since last week because of continuous dc of nitro.

I thought leetpools have this issues.

Its none of the pool owners fault, the network is unbalanced, and Nitro has more than 50% of the network (No fault of theirs). If the hashes spread out there would be less orphans on the network as I understand it. Nitro's hashrate is so large, they define the network. The hashes need to spread out.

Whats funny is that when Nitro goes down for maintenance, 35% of the miners instantly Failover to our pool (LeetPool), and the orphan rates go down immediately.

We need the miners to spread the hashes to all the pools on the network, and it will keep the coin healthy.

http://bitgo.pw/utc/ <--- Look at the bottom at the pool hashrate chart.

Since the hashrate is so enourmous as one pool compared to another this happens:

We will solve a block:
http://s15.postimg.org/np4oo5yfv/leetblock.png

Nitro will solve the same block:
http://s16.postimg.org/pa7ttlefp/Nitro_Block.png

See what happens here? Nitro will beat everyone to the punch if they happen to solve the same block as another pool even if we might have solved it first, or if Nitro might have solved the block first, we will be late because the network is defined by the hashrate.

I was talking with TheSerapher in IRC, and he suggested that other pools add Nitro as a node for UTC -- But he did not elaborate on how to do this. If anyone can think of a solution, please chime in.

As of now they Nitro controls 78% of UTC network (!)...Much risk for not only the people on other pools, but also for the UTC network.

C'mon guys, spread out your hashes, please.

I wonder what would happen if these market sharks would have to battle with  a veteran community of more than 100K ppl holding UTC?

Dreaming big makes the world go round.

okay I have my 7950's doing 125 Kh/s each no HW errors

I'm running -w 512  -I 18 -TC 35k-40k    1050/1500 and 1080/1600 clocks

Really just changed the TC and dropped intensity as I was running 19.   Tc in the 35k -40K range not changing WU yet.   Can't say whats optimal there atm

Ye, with g2 I=11 is too low and I=12 too high(HW errors).

Maybe your method with g1 and I=18 is the only doable at this particular N-factor stage.

Yeah sorry I forgot to say G1, I assumed with that High TC all would know.  It's G1

7950 with 3Gb ram here, after the new N factor I've changed the following:

Thread concurrency from 16384 to 32768

Intensity from 17 to 15

No Hw errors

Hash dropped from 205 to 95

Tips welcome Wink

95 is pretty low for 7950

What's your WU?

WU is 120 per card 343 (for 3) .  Pool varying shown rate between 650-850  (6 total gpu)

Yes 95Khs is low, but it's a Sapphire card with inadequate cooling.Temp is around 57 and I'm fine with these temps.
Don't want to fry the GPU.It's also undervolted to VDCC 0.962 with std clock speeds.

More than 36 hours of silence for me in Crypto Trade, I'm waiting since Saturday evening for a BTC withdrawal.

Seems that we've created another "Gold rush" era by ourselves in cryptoeconomy, together with byproducts like "Wild west culture".
The "good" the "bad" and the "ugly" is unknown...

Can i ask you guy's for som advice about my wallet ?

- I bought some UTC
- send them to my wallet on my computer
- made a copy of the wallet .dat file to a memery stick

Now the worst case scenario happend yesterday. My computer crasht.

Please advice me about steps to make recover my coins, is the following procedure right ?

- i download a new wallet from internet on a new computer

And which steps i have to make from here ??

Thank you infron for helping me with advice

After your intallation of UTC wallet (assuming you have win7/vista) you'd find your current installed wallet file in

C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Ultracoin

with the name wallet.dat.

Replace that file with your backup. Be sure that, the soon to be replaced wallet file has no UTC in it  Wink

Hope it helps,

Hello All,

I'm rather new new to the UTC and in fact cryptos.Nevertheless,I'm trying to recover the gap  Smiley

Here's a (maybe noob) question for you.Sorry if this was answered before:

I had to reformat my harddrive, had my UTC wallet backup previously which was encrypted for sure.

With the new installation,I've put back the wallet.dat file in place in Windows 7.

My question is,the wallet.dat file immediately worked without asking a passphrase. This means my wallet is accessible without any further security steps.

I can even confirm the situation in Ultracoin 1.6. Because after the new wallet file, the wallet address is updated, coins are there and it opens up the option of "change passphrase" in settings menu.
I wonder how this can happen without asking me the passphrase... Is this normal or a bug?

Awaiting your comments,
