A friend told me Nexus was the next big thing. He was a bit drunk, so I am not sure whether he was joking or not.

I wreckon it be one of them. Defo worth a go at it while prices are not high. Alot of work going on behind the scenes. This is not a pump and dumper it is completely unique and once everything planned is up and running can see this in top 10 market cap.

Yes, it's a hold.

Do we know who is the guy with the 2.65 mil NIRO wallet on Bittrex?

The short answer is Yes.  This person is waiting for a Mac wallet from what I understand.

Here's another one

But on another note, I'd like to extend my appreciation to everyone for helping make Nexus what it is, don't forget: By the People, for the People. To me, Nexus isn't just about profit, it's about freeing ourselves from a system designed to keep us enslaved, the more everyone works together, the more chances we have at this Freedom.

Cooperation, not Competition

Sure, all fine. I love the idea of Niro, you are very dedicated and seem (I have near to zero coding skills) to know what you are doing.

But, however, Niro is very dependent on your work. The thing with Vanilla is, that they are very active in communicating with the community, which of course is the advantage of managing the coin full-time.

And yes, it is not only about money, but people who tell me they don't care about the price (even long-term) are simply lying. That may be different for you, because it is your project, but for all the others here it is definitely an investment somehow.

So, what can the community do? If we want to spread the word, what do we want to spread?
What is the clear and simple idea of Niro, in short, understandable catch-phrases. I bought a few Niro (former CoinShield) quite a time ago, but it is not 100% clear to me, what the direction and the idea of the coin is. I understand the POS3 aka. nPos technology and that is superior to the existing solutions, however, the market didn't take notice till now, which is not because of the hype of other coins, but because only a few know about Niro and don't really know how it works (and what is the USP). There has to be a promoter or so. I read that TradesAce (quite well known altcoin/bitcoin and forex trader on twitter) did put out a few messages regarding Niro a while ago. Is someone in contact with him?
And again, this is not about creating a short-term pump. But Niro is still a "currency", and only makes sense if there is financial interest.

As no one seems to care:

Is there a roadmap ? Possibility of more active communication? What happens next?

There are also some false claims such as their staking being more energy efficient, when it is an exact line for line clone of Peercoin, just rewritten in C++ 11.

Videlicet was referring at that time to the code that John Connor had uploaded to github.  John later revealed that it was 'fake' code designed to throw off haters or whatever.

So, videlicet was correct about the code that he saw.  But it turned out that it wasn't the actual code of the coin.  Just a trick to throw off haters/catch people out/waste the time of code reviewers.

No, john was referring to the zerotime test code and fake whitepaper for zerotime, not the committed code that has been open sourced and able to be compiled for some time.

why would a dev post a fake whitepaper / code? fudding his own project? its been bothering me since i read that.

If he's just one person, with the speed he pumps out lines of code, he's truly a genius in my opinion; but sometimes he does things I don't understand, like that.

I believe his reasoning was that he would get a lot of devs to attack him because of obvious flaws and then when the real paper and code were released, they'd have to really look into it.

hmmmm. well its his call, he is the dev, but seems foolish to post fake code, because then you have a 100% chance of bringing FUD to your doorstep.

But he showed a lot of so called experts were in fact scammy FUDers....you should be calling out them not a John Connor for exposing them....Personally I thought it was a great move. I would do something similar in his position if I had thought of it.

I dont think posting fake code / whitepaper could ever be a "great move" in any situation.

Cause you're just a forum poster who never worked on a project for months to see it attacked by people....like yourself.

Grow up...

This Altcoin world is beyond insane. He didn't expose anyone. It just showed how childish he is. It's not cool, doesn't make sense and has absolutely no benefit for the project.

In the real world nobody would trust this "just a fake, I have the real code" bullshit. Even less if he does it to somehow making fun of other devs on a very strange way (and tbh, the claims of Viz for example were absolutely right. How should he now that John is doing childish shit?).

So, you should grow up. If you want cryptos to play with the big boys, this is not the way how to do business. Might be in your strange developer world, but not in the real world. If your project gets criticized after months of work, improve it. May be hard, but it is the only way.

Real shame someone wants to dump all over the order book just after v2.0 release date is announced Sad

They're riding Axiom...and we should do more for marketing. These innovations don't make sense if nobody knows ! Wink

be nice to have a rough time frame of how much more testing needs to be done.

maybe just a summary of what the testing has shown and what still needs to be done to keep everyone updated.

Amount of Fudsters in this thread is unbelievable.  Roll Eyes

Don't forget Twitter too...  all those cheap-ass wannabe market gurus can't get over the fact that most likely they will NEVER see their preferred entry rates!!!   Kiss

The wannabe market gurus are smart and don't hype a coin which failed. But hey, you're knee deep in this, so you have to hype a coin which delivered literally nothing.

Finally, this piece of shit seems to be working.

You stupid motherfuckers deserve to be hammered down to the ground for our wasted time, money and missing coins due to the hardfork as a result of your amateurism, but I guess noone wants to waste more time here...

All I want from you is:

1) Provide details IN THE OP about the exact block at which the hardfork happened.
2) Setup a fucking official and working block explorer DAMNIT!!!
3) Stop announcing important things in this stupid thread like amateur idiots, but do it in the OP or on a separate blog instead!

And another thing:

Were there any pools mining at low diff before the official announcements about the hardfork?

PS: Delete one more of my posts..

EDIT: Well, till now it's not. I'm wondering what happens with my MintPal deposit from 17.08.

They got their paycheck and now bailing out 250each. Slowly selling btc.

To be fair - they didn't receive any BTC till now. They received 250 BTC for buy support - but sent them back to moolah.

......

Because you don't release crap for 1500 btc. Simple as that. Most shitcoins have a working wallet + blockchain on release. But shut your eyes and dream on.

This is not a normal altcoin blockchain.

Till now, this is a coin that hasn't delivered anything.
