Re: Do not use Coinbase

Coinbase is exploiting the relatively few options consumers have even at this point. While there may be alternatives out there for buying cryptocurrency, I find Coinbase convenient, but ideally I'd use a service with lower fees. I agree their Neutrino acquisition should raise eyebrows.
Why are you saying there are few options for users? I've never used coinbase, because I think it's restricted and my country, but also because I never really needed it! There are nice wallet providers like Blockchain.info and electrum, there are nice exchanges like bittrex and hitbtc. We also have online exchanges of the top cryptocurrencies to fiat bank account under reasonable conditions in my country. Spying on users is not okay. However, some people might not care about such things as privacy and support intervention, because sometimes it can prevent serious crimes from happening. Coinbase is still nice for those people.

Stopped using coinbase a long time ago and never looked back. There are plenty of options now as you said.

Everyday is a good day to accumulate more. I'm sure most people get steady flow of income or cash. So you take some % (depending on your risk tolerance) and park it in bitcoin... you have forever cashed that amount out of the fiat economic system.

I go with the bullish people who are really positive about the technology. Very few have this mind while the majority find it difficult to understand. Those who are in the bearish trend supporting is good to fiat holders, particularly they are non crypto holders. Once if they keep hold and get back profit, they might also come with the bullish community.

Yep, the people who can see the forest of tomorrow from the trees or shrubs today...

Bitcoin has its ups and down, but longer term, there is only one side. History is being made with every transaction thats written to an immutable ledger. Question is: will you be on the right side of history

It doesn't matter where its priced in fiat. Fiat depreciates by design and what's left is stolen by wasteful government spending addiction stemming from over taxation

Doesn't look like a spam attack to me. Maybe Venezuelans moving their hard earned money out one bolivar at a time before it becomes the next Zimbabvian dollar

Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation

There's too much shadiness with founder's stake/premine, lawsuits. On top of that, Ripple's ability to censor any payments as well rollback payments is just a big no for me. I already have a banker alt coin. Its called USD issued by the Fed.
Yeah ehm no. Thats a lie. "Censor payments" lol debunked already.
Everything u have listed is debunked lil boi

Ripple controls "most" of the gateways. Anything that goes through their gateways can and will be censored. They can use KYC/AML or any excuse. Its no different than a Shitibank checking account. Don't be a Fanboy!

If you wanna diversify, I'd stick with the index allocations top 10-15 for the bulk of your portfolio (say 90%)

Remaining 10% do as you please or trade it away

I realize it has faster transaction confirms, so it can serve as an intermediate coin to get your money from point A to B and exchange it for something else. But LTC serves that use case better due to more exchange availability and  even faster block times.

I would not hold BCH. They may have a dev plan but so do most alts, but there are a lot of promising projects for the 20% I'd be comfortable with holding in altcoins and unfortunately BCH doesn't make the cut for me.

No one really knows. It won't go there by itself. If you want bitcoin to succeed, contribute to it. Educate your family, friends and neighbors. Help test out the testnet for new features etc.

There's an important 50/200 MA crossover coming up on daily chart (likely tomorrow). Expect that we will overshoot a little to the downside and then a short term bottom can form there

A lot of FOMO money has trickled in at highs. People have leveraged up and bought in the 19000s, now the credit cards need to be paid back.
