I have spoken with the people hosting the block explorer and it is catching up. They paused our block explorer while they were updating their system. If anyone out there has a synced wallet would be appreciated if they can turn it on for a couple of days.

I don't think Viacoin is listed
It IS listed, though there are problems with the only known electrum server. Luckily somebody (not involved with VIA) decided to set up another one. Problem is that VIA is using lots of resources, mainly RAM... because the chain is long and has a short block time, so it also grows fast.
If there would be a community, eg on discord it would be much easier to coordinate such things and find people who are willing to run a server, eg the ones that hold a ton of VIA.

The website says that the coin is listed on atomicdex.io (now renamed to Komodo Wallet), but I couldn't find it, do I need to do something like insert a custom token like on the Ethereum network, for example? Where can I find any more information about this?
You need to enable all coins or tokens that you want to use. Which app do you use? In Desktop the button is called "Add Crypto".

I have always considered BLK to be a relevant currency, it is currently being traded on only two exchanges (according to CMC and Coingecko). What plans, if any, are there to expand and reach new users and investors?

Today I own hundreds of thousands of ECA on a desktop wallet i cannot even access due to lack of maintance and support (XEP discord admins won't even help with recovering my eca's..)
You can use the privkey to access them in https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/atomicDEX-Desktop/releasesCode:
electra-cli dumpprivkey <youraddress>
and use this privkey to create a wallet in AtomicDEX... "Import wallet", "Allow custom seed" and use the privkey as seed.And then you can trade the ECA on the DEX directly out of your wallet... if you want to.

What's more concerning is that these scam exchangers collected enough money and knowledge to setup a new exchange with a new name to continue the scamming business.
