Maybe it affect to the value of their money or stock market

Imagine that governments and banks are worried about crypto. They would do anything to stop it, but I haven't heard of any countries to completeley outlaw crypto.

One should take all precautionary measures to save oneself from hackers. You should use a PC with good antivirus so that it can keep away all the malware, use safe browsers, always double check the website you visit especially websites like myetherwallet, etc., so that you don't land up putting your private key on the fake website, using offline wallet or physical wallet is another good idea to keep your funds safe.

Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin?
by

That would be very risky. I am keeping my job and as I have jumped quite late to the bitcoin. I see bitcoin as form of insurance / value storage for the future - my investment horizon is 5-10 years and I hope that the growth trend would continue with the same pace to get us to 100k USD and up.

Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money?

Real money is issued, printed and controlled by government of respective country and government impose tax on it and we can't use currency of one nation to other nation . But bitcoin is completely different because it is neither printed nor issued by central government. It doesn't have taxes either so what else difference you want. The best form of money I like it

Even knowing bitcoin is the new way of business, and bringing the fiat to digital currencie on the next years. The big question is when the market will be ready for bitcoin, because we need merchants to use and accept bitcoin, something till the moment we arent see, some companies are using it but those companies are promoting bitcoin, while others are thinking the beneficts and problems to use and accept it.

Re: Can bitcoin survive?
by
focmere
on 12/03/2018, 20:54:08 UTC
I think bitcoin can survive if the investors are continous to invest a capital to synchronize the flow of the bitcoin. But it defends if the government does not make a move to make bitcoin ban to our country it may survive. The worst scenario is when the government will say that all the investors of bitcoin are going to have a disciplinary action and all investors are going to be jailed. I think that is the time that bitcoin that will stop. So save bitcoin and work ward to earn more until the bitcoin is existing because we dont know what will happen next.

Mainly this forum and sometimes Reddit when I look at Bitcoin's subreddit.
But I think this forum is one of the best platforms for understanding and keeping up-to-date of the latest crypto news.

I think also in a positive way, I have a belief that Bitcoin will get it's own way to increase the price. It's just a matter of time to set back of it's position very soon. I think this year might carry an important role for this platform. Hopefully, Bitcoin will be worth more than 30K USD within this year, otherwise this platform will face a terrible situation in the meantime. But your prediction will come true at the end of this year.

Daytrading is the riskiest way to make money in the crypto world.
Holding long term is both safe and rewarding, but it requires patience! Do you have patience?

Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do?
by
focmere
on 09/03/2018, 21:10:50 UTC
So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

Selling will only make you lose more money. Hold thight, in a few months the money will get back to your wallet.
Just don't sell!

Re: Mt. Gox inca influenteaza piata si in ziua de azi
by

on 08/03/2018, 18:46:31 UTC
A aparut azi o stire conform careia administratorul falimentarului Mt. Gox inca afecteaza cursul bitcoin.

Stirea e aici: https://www.coindesk.com/mt-gox-trustee-sells-400-million-bitcoin-bitcoin-cash/

Sa inteleg ca asta e motivul pentru care toata piata crypto se duce in jos in momentul de fata?
Ma asteptam sa inceapa sa mearga doar in sus.

There are always good entry point in the crypto market.
When you look at the big picture, we are still at the very beginning, the real moon ride didn't even start yet. So I guess we are good here. Invest whenever you see fit.

Re: Polymath Scam: Stay Away!
by
focmere
on 07/03/2018, 14:15:17 UTC
Don't waste your time with these amateurs.

They super hyped airdrop got everyone excited.  First they delayed the release of their KYC instructions.  Then they took the KYC site down for two days while they "cleared a backlog." They've brought it back now, but they changed the rules.  Half the people who signed up are being told their wallet addresses are not registered.  And now you can only complete the KYC process by submitting a copy of your passport (drivers licenses and/or other government IDs will no longer be accepted).

Many of us spent hours trying to get approved for the airdrop.  I know I did.  What a huge waste of time!

I hope this project fails.  These guys are real scumbags.  Stay away!

I think you are overreacting a little. There are regulations in place and the Polymath team had to obey those regulations.
The fact that they required another KYC is not absolutely a problem.

If you get in now you will actually buy the coins at a really good price of what is worth.
Later this year institutions will get into crypto, making the moon ride even more dramatic. Smiley

Re: Will governments use blockchain in international agreements
by

How do you think, when governments of countries are going to start using blockchain technologies in international agreements? Can smartcontracts protect from falsity on that level?

The way I see it, government will attempt to create their own coins, but, those coins will be centralized. Centralized Crypto Coins.
Hopefully people won't buy into that and will eventually stick with the decentralized versions of the coins.

Yep, pretty dissapointing Bounty Campaign though. They barely rewared anything to it's supporters here on BitcoinTalk. I heard many people complain about them.
