Hi everyone,
Im a newbie, i just known about Bitcoin in 1 month. I decided to spend my money that i have saved for a long time in Bitcoin. Please tell me some name of Altcoin, i want hold it until i marry.

Thanks for all response

I would suggest you to take a look into privacy space because I feel Privacy and Security will be the future of crypto. If you're really planning to invest some money, take a look at $ADA, $Priv, $ZRX and $XLM.

Re: Can bitcoin be sent, received or traded (used) without the internet?
by

on 11/10/2018, 23:50:20 UTC
NO.
The most important we need for trade, sent, received etc is internet. Without internet we can't do anything regarding bitcoin. Same as us , without oxygen we can't alive.

That's true, without Internet nothing is possible. You need to have an active internet connection to transfer from one wallet to another or by using an exchange.

Re: New Survey Shows 80% Of Americans Have Heard Of Bitcoin
by
fokinflor
on 09/10/2018, 01:34:46 UTC
This is not a bad statistics, but if you take the total number of people around the world who have heard about bitcoin, then this is certainly a very low figure. I want as many people as possible to know about this technology and accept it.

The statistics is not acceptable, I'm from the united states and at-least 60% people do not know about block-chain technology and mostly they are not interested in knowing about it. Even college students are not showing much interest, we have to create awareness during the next bull-run Smiley

Re: ETH to hold now or not?
by

I do not know, but my personal opinion is that it is worth investing ETH now in the long term and just just have patience Grin

I agree with you, Few years from now ETH will definitely be around $3000 or more. It has a great potential to grow even higher than that.

Re: Do not panic
by

I believe that in any case you need to remain calm, do not panic. After all, panic leads to dangerous decisions and the loss of their money. We must understand that the crypto market can always have temporary corrections and price fluctuations, but selling during a panic leads to a loss of money.

I think you're right, patience is the key in a bearish market like this. Let us all wait for other countries to accept crypto just like Malta. When that happens, a bull-run will begin leading us all into the millionaire level.

307 pages and counting...this is an indication of an active community. This project is living up to expectations despite all the attacks from various quarters. PRiVCY is going places in the future. The price has been fairly stable exhibiting the pattern of a Simple Harmonic motion despite the level of uncertainty in the market in general. If you are not on this train, you have yourself to blame.
Thats true, active and quality community, but not for price, because some people keep trying to raise prices, and some try to drop prices for personal gain. this is a matter of debate by our fellow members

It looks like we may have a lot of members in the airdrop who are here for the pennies that they get by selling immediatley and which the supposedly use to feed their families in some poor country. I cannot see other reasons for giving away the airdropped PRIVs for such a little money.

Well a pro trader would quickly invest them on a bullish coin, make profits and can easily buy back more $Priv. But If people are not using it wisely, then obviously they are wasting the precious coins.

That's seems to be very nice projec.Just need some high volume Exchange.

It'll be listed soon. The project is promising and a BIG exchange will help with adoption.
it's nice to hear that, because there's so much fun with us when the price is rising so we wait for it this November or December.

It would indeed be very interesting to see Privcy getting listed on a big exchange with good volume. Just imagine what a few BTCs can do to the price.

I think the circulating supply of the coins is really low, this will definitely help us to reach $3-$5 once we are on the Tier 1 exchange and if everything goes well, we might even moon to $20 Wink

Re: Will bitcoin be harder to access in the future?
by
fokinflor
on 28/09/2018, 01:58:30 UTC
Well, bitcoins might be less accessible if most of the people would not want to sell them, the price would go up even more dirastically. In terms of access, they still will be traded on exchanges so if you've got fiat, you can buy it.

According to statistics, in 3 years it will be very hard to have atleast one bitcoin and this will lead to drastic increase of bitcoin price. So, this is the right time to accumulate, so do accumulate as much as you can.

Re: Now more than 2000 crypto currencies on coinmarketcap
by
fokinflor
on 26/09/2018, 23:41:23 UTC
Some of those coins are just shitcoins. CMC should remove those inactive cryptos so that newcomers won't be confused and won't create unnecessary blunder specially when investing into altcoins. If only we just focus on few cryptos I guess there will be less FUD and more adoption. Some of those shitcoins created doubts to new players in the crypto market because most of them are just launched for the devs to profit.

Definitely most of these guys are pure shit (80%). Maybe the top 200 might survive for years to come and will continue to dominate the crypto space.

Re: future bitcoin transaction fees
by
fokinflor
on 26/09/2018, 02:30:51 UTC

Currently the cost of bitcoin transactions is very cheap due to the relatively small amount of transactions, moving 48,000 bits per 4 cents, very cheap compared to December 2017 at some time up to $ 50 due to too many transactions at that time. . However, when the market recovers, there will be many transactions to be made and then whether technologies such as Segwit or Lightning network will help bitcoin trading faster and transaction costs do not become expensive. or not?

It depends on how much Bitcoin will cost in the future. If we are talking about $100k, then obviously we are looking at $500-$1000 as a fee per transaction and again on the other hand we have many emerging crypto that does not consume a lot in transaction fees, a good example would be $NANO (no transaction fee at all).

how do you feel the market hopes there is changes now, because some months ago there are some person's(me) here in this forum whom has been worried about the market price but today the market is really up... $245.15, so hopefully there is change in the market.

what do you think?

Yeah, so far so good. I hope it continues until we hit another $10k leading into the most expected bull-run. But in reality, we all know its not going to happen this year :|

Do you recommend family and friends to join the market when it's crashing?
We pray for the prices to go up and to more people join the market, but will you recommend someone close to you to join when the prices are dropping like crazy?

If you do, explain why.

I usually do recommend my friends whenever bitcoin's rate is hitting down the earth stating "Its right time to throw in some money and double it up in few months".

Re: Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are going to lose
by
fokinflor
on 18/09/2018, 20:49:58 UTC
As some analytics say, both bitcoin and Ethereum have serious problems with their prices and trust of people. Recent survey shows that people tend to trust other cryptocurrencies more than two our kings. Is it the end of the world for them or just usual rainy days that are going to end quite soon? It would be great to find out all the reasons for such things, but it scares me a little, seems too complicated to be understood at once. I do not want to make everybody panic, just want to look at the facts clearly without all these "Ethereum and bitcoin can not die" and "how did you dare to even think about such stupid finish for those two great projects". I do not speak I'll about them and I do not want them to die, but really, let's face the truth - it will never happen or will? What are your arguments for and against this problem? Can 6ou leave all emotions behind and look at the problem from different and unusual for you angle for a while?

That's an irrelevant statement. BTC and ETH have a real world use case and they have already delivered what they have promised. They will continue to dominate and on the other hand, we have some other crypto projects as well which are equally good and they might turn out be successful as well.

Re: Sell car for Bitcoin
by
fokinflor
on 17/09/2018, 23:53:35 UTC
My friend decided to sell his car and invest all the money in Bitcoin as some people predict that 1 BTC will reach 500 000$ till the end of 2019.
He totally believes in it and tells that then he could buy not only a new car but a flat also.

Does it really worth it? He uses his car for his work and now he wouldn't be able to do this anymore as he thinks there's no need to work anymore.

I really like his confidence, but dont risk the car IMHO. This year might not be the year of bulls in crypto, it might take another 12-24 months for mass adoption followed by bull run. Hope you talk to your buddy and make him understand that.

More and more airdrop is a lie, I do not recommend participation in airdrop, because there are at most a few 100 airdrop quality, so I think it should not be a waste of time.

That's true there are many scam airdrops at the moment but at the same time there are some legit airdrops happening as well. Please check my signature for more details before you lose hope in airdrops.

Re: A Billion People Will Be Using Cryptocurrency in 5 Years: Brian Armstrong
by
fokinflor
on 12/09/2018, 21:14:35 UTC
I think that this prediction might come true. Cryptocurrency is the future to the digital transaction system. Sooner or later, every country in the world will feel the need of cryptocurrency. The coinbase chief executive, Brian Armstrong, predicted that in next 5 years the cryptocurrency user are increase in number by 1 billion.

I definitely agree with that, If a billion people get involved in trading in the upcoming 5 years we all will be millionaires with our current portfolio assuming everyone is holding at least $3000 worth of crypto.
