Re: Which altcoin pops up next? How to predict?
by

Altcoins popping up like in a game "whack a mole". Some did 50%, some did 5x. Is there any methods that could be used to predict which altcoin will be next? (I guess there must be some indicators, narrative and etc.) or it is purely random game?

Last 30 day price movement is a good indicator. Plus if you pick from top 100 coins based on market cap, there are very less chances of loss in a  bull run. Based on these two parameters, I will suggest IOTA and Sandbox for at least 2-5x in coming 1-2 months. If you have a larger capital, you should split the investment in some more coins to be on the safe side.

Re: How Do You Plan to Make the Most of Your Bitcoin Investment Before the Halving?
by

The countdown to April 25, 2024, the day of Bitcoin halving from today, November 5, 2023, is approximately 6 months, 3 weeks, and 5 days. As for my personal plans to make the most of Bitcoin investments before the halving, I'll focus on regular investments without dramatically altering my lifestyle, ensuring a balance between saving and enjoying life in the present. Here are the habits and behaviors I have adopted to ensure that I make the most of my investing in Bitcoin before that day arrives:

  • I turned my apartment into a shared one, meaning I got a flatmate and used the money paid to buy more Bitcoins.
  • No more buying new clothes, shoes, phones, or electronic devices. No more eating out. I'll cook all my meals. The money saved will be used to buy more Bitcoins.
  • This month, I'm selling off my car and I'll start using the train for commuting to work or any other essential place. Therefore, unless it is absolutely necessary, my social life is going to suffer for a little while. This delay of gratification is worth it.
  • I didn't renew my gym membership. I purchased some dumbbells and barbells to start working out from home. The money supposed to be spent on the gym membership will be used to buy more Bitcoins.

There's a flip side to this. After the halving, my Bitcoin investments would have doubled. I plan to reward myself with the profit by:

- Visiting Mongolia, one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I've seen a lot of  documentaries about Mongolia on YouTube.

How do you plan to make the most of your Bitcoin investments before the halving in 6 months?

You have a lot of control on your spending habits. You will always good financially. I have a different approach though and that is to increase my earnings. I have started to outsource the freelance work that I had been doing myself. It is becoming more profitable for me, all I have to do is to find more and more clients and then pass on the work to my workers. I will spend all the extra earnings to buy more bitcoin. Almost, 90% of my portfolio is in bitcoin.

Do you know about the first public servant paid in bitcoin ?
by

His name was Tony Vaughn and he was from Kentucky. He was paid his salary in bitcoin in 2013 , at time when very few even heard about bitcoin. If he would have not sold those bitcoins that he got as salary, he would might have been a billionaire by now. Because bitcoin price at that time was just $1000 a piece , so his wealth would have been about 30 times at current prices.

Re: What would happen if there was only one cryptocurrency, which is Bitcoin?
by
fokinlipat
on 06/11/2023, 10:21:55 UTC
Something came out in my mind recently:
How would the price of Bitcoin change if there were no other cryptocurrency than Bitcoin?
Would Bitcoin develop faster without a competition?

Many people believe that if there is no alternative cryptocurrency, the price of Bitcoin will rise because it has no competition.

But, in my opinion, the price of Bitcoin is lower if it does not have a competition. Why? Because if there is no competition, the buyer's thinking is "should I buy this or not?" however if there is competition, the buyer's mind is "should I buy Bitcoin or these alts?"

As a result, not just Bitcoin but other altcoins will benefit. So, rather than being upset or sad because there is a competition, we can look at it in a positive way.

It is both good and bad for crypto. Good is that if there was no alt coin , all the market cap would have been for bitcoin and value per bitcoin would also been very high. Bad would be there will be monopoly which will hinder developments and growth.

Many believe that gambling is for young people online as they need thrill and and fun. But I think that even old people can enjoy gambling. There should be any age to retire from gambling at all. One can do this activity and leisure time and thus it does not affect retirement related activities also.

If there was really nothing suspicious about the service mentioned in OP, government must not have taken action against them. When something gets out of hand, then it becomes necessary for government to take action and this is what happened in case of chipmixer.

Many here are suggesting that they do not keep anything on exchanges. I doubt this. They must be having good amount on exchanges. They operate with huge amounts and must be involved in trading crypto also. It will not make much difference to their net worth even if they loose funds on one exchange due to hack. They keep the risk versus reward ratio in mind before taking such decisions. Keeping the money idle in hardware wallets or paper wallets will give them no returns at all.

What that is most important is to avoid giving your identity documents to people. Those sites too can misuse your identity documents that you submitted to them.

But if you do not give identity documents in these big websites or exchanges, they will put limit or restrictions on your account. Even to do P2P transactions on Binance, some sellers and buyers demand identity documents and they will deny the deal without these documents.

Re: KuCoin Launches Futures 2.0
by
fokinlipat
on 20/10/2023, 14:09:54 UTC
Launched in September 2017, KuCoin is a global cryptocurrency exchange with its operational headquarters in Seychelles. KU Coins launches feature 2.0 that improve its over all features.

  • 20X faster
  • 15X more capacity
  • New API structure
  • New Self-Trade Protection (STP) Feature

A new API rate was made available with a limit that meets the standard in the industry. It is two times faster than the old rate, and the goal is to make it ten times faster soon. These features help the trader to trade more efficiently. KuCoin also offers various features and tools to assist traders in their activities, including spot trading, futures trading, staking, lending, and more.

It is anticipated that in November, a large-scale marketing effort would get underway to mark the occasion of the introduction of Futures 2.0.

I would not get excited with the announcement and wait for the user experience to happen first. There had been many such false claims by other companies in past and they all proved to be futile. So, we can not say that this time also the exchange will live up to the expectations based on the declaration they have made.

Even, if we see based on the popularity of exchanges, there are many other better options like binance which have proved themselves to much secure and practical for crypto users.

Re: Which old coin do you prefer? Litecoin or Dogecoin?
by
fokinlipat
on 20/10/2023, 14:07:14 UTC
Among the good-old coins listed on the market today, which one do you prefer the most? Litecoin or Dogecoin? The former is often used for serious cross-border payments at a fraction of the cost, while the latter is used more for micropayments/tipping. Despite these differences, it's no secret that DOGE is faster and cheaper to use than LTC itself (Dogecoin's block time is lower than Litecoin's, while market prices are cheaper). I'd choose both as they're tried-and-tested blockchain networks with decentralization and security/reliability in mind.

What would be your pick? And why did you choose that coin in the first place? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

If I had to pick between these two, my favorite would be litecoin. There are lot of advantages of using this coin like the transactions are very fast and fees is also low. It has proved to be a genuine project for longer time. On the other hand , dogecoin is based on hype created by Elon and others. So , I am a conservative guy and thus I will go with litecoin.

Are chances of fraud very high on Binance P2P transactions ?
by
fokinlipat
on 20/10/2023, 14:04:57 UTC
I have heard that some scammers are making fake accounts on Binance for P2P and using hacked bank accounts for transfer. If we deal with them for P2P deals, our bank accounts can also get feezed. Have you ever faced this problem on Binance ? How can we reduce the chances of getting affected by this ?

If I bought bitcoin 10 years ago, I would have been a millionaire: Not true
by

on 16/12/2021, 07:18:13 UTC
The reality is that they would not have been able to hold for so long even if they bought 10 years ago. Very few have the patience to wait till 100x or more. Most of the investors will be sold at the idea of 2x or 3x itself. Some of the people that were able to hold for so long were those who had invested and then completely forgot about it. There is one more category of people who had complete trust on BTC and thus they stick with it for years.

Re: META - I have question
by

I have a question.
1. The difference between the DT-1 and DT-2? along with its function?
2. Why Many Accounts with the average rank of the hero-the legendary do Not use the signature code?
You say you have one question and ask two?
I will answer only one. Haha
The answer to second question is that having signature or not is a personal choice. Everyone is not on the forum with same intention. In fact, majority of the top ranked or old members are for information not signature bounty.
