Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit

One more important thing you need to know.

Your term deposit that finished and the coins moved to available will not gain POS reward anymore. You must move them to "reset" them.

Directions:

  • At top of wallet click on "Settings"
  • Menu drops down click on "Options"
  • New Box pops up click on "Wallet" tab
  • Find check box "Enable Coin Control Features"
  • Check that box and then click OK button
  • Top of wallet click "Receive"
  • Create new receive address and label as you please
  • Copy that new receive address
  • Top of wallet click send tab
  • Paste the receive address from previous step in Pay To: box
  • Top left section, "Coin Control Features" click the "Inputs..." button
  • New box pops up and now look for and find the line item that matches your matured term deposit amount of coins
  • Check the box for that line item
  • Click OK button and pop up box goes away
  • Now bottom left click "Send" button and send coins to yourself
  • Coins will now begin to gain standard POS interest again and immediately
  • Top of wallet click on "Overview"
  • In the lower section "ROIcoin Term Deposits" you will see that the line item for that matured term deposit is gone away

Thanks for the info, I just have a matured term deposit.

Solo Mining ROI As Part Of A Cluster.

What is it?

Solo mining as part of a cluster is you connecting to one node with other users connecting to that same node.
Each computer connected to the node is treated as a cpu thread. So if like me your computer has 80 threads it all 80 threads will be treated as one big thread.
This is the same for all computers. If you have a 4 core 8 thread cpu and you have them all mining the cluster node all 8 will be treated as one thread.

I'm not sure how it is better than Solo mining. Let's say 10 miners are connected to the cluster with different hashing power. The probability of any miner finding the next block is still dependent on how much power that miner has vs the rest of the 9. It is possible that the miner with least power gets lucky once in a while but it is the same with Solo mining as well.

To me, pool is still a more democratic way of distributing coins - you get in proportion of what you contribute and are not dependent on luck. Plus you get a steady stream of coins every once in a while. I have been pushing for having an internal pool within the Wallet miner which those using Hodl miner client can also connect to - it would be fairer and more stable.

The idea is awesome, but honestly I also did not get it, I have no idea how is it better compare to solo mining or ordinary pool... Any sample scenario?

On the first page it's said that max interest rate is 426.38% but I receive more than 526%, why? how to caculate the interest?

I don't know if I'm correct or not, but 426.38% from term deposit, and there is POS 8% did not put into calculation yet.

Ive got 2 systems right now with 6 1050 tis in each.  Running Windows 10 with powered risers.  All works flawlessly.  I have had almost zero crashes (and in those couple of times they just stopped mining for a bit).  And about a 99.5-99.9 acceptance rate.  I predominantly use Nice hash for the algo switching.  Max profit.  Right now Im getting between 4-5 USD a day.  At times a bit more.  I like the fact that the cards use minimal power.  I started with 1, just to "try it out".... Next thing I knew i had 14! LOL

I dont use Nicehash but is 4-5USD a day is per rig or total of 2 rigs?

Each...  My rate has actually gone up lately too.  I take breaks here and there to mine ZEC for myself... they do great for that.  Nice thing about the 1050 ti is the lack of a need for additional power beyong the pci slot

Yes, just checked the whattomine, 6 X 1050ti is about USD4-5 per day. And you mentioned the pro of 1050ti on no additional power required.

Re: Best mobile for monero browser mining
by

on 17/10/2017, 23:32:43 UTC
Hello to all.

I tried to mine monero with my phone at browser and it is showing about 5-6 hashes/s.

Who knows the best mobile phones for mining with max hashes in browser? And cheap.

Stop wasting your time and torment your device, you will earn cents! In such way you can try to earn for ferrari with faucets Grin

Yes it is true. But!!! If you have some popular website you still can earn decent money! If 100 000 people will mine with their mobiles you can earn a pile of bucks!!!

Minergate did that before, but it removed browser mining some years ago. Imagine 100,000 miners with tiny hash connection to a pool, not worth at all for a pool

Re: Problem with Jaxx wallet and ZEC

Hi everybody !

Can somebody help me with Jaxx wallet.
Im using Jaxx wallet and its been great exept with Zcash/ZEC.
First it started with refusing sending coins somethimes. Now its permanent problem.
It recives but wont sent.

Contacted support but all they said is use newer version and try to use pair( on my cell and PC). Tried all and problem is the same.
Dont know what to do anymore Sad

Any experience ?

Please help !

Thank You !

Please stop using this piece of crap all together. It's so full of bugs and slow AF. I has been 78 DAYS! since BTC/BCH fork and these wankers still haven't implemented BCH lmao. Get a ledger / trezor and send your ZEC  there once a week directly from pool

I have stopped using Jaxx a few months ago, it is better to use original wallet.

Take a look at whattomine and some of the information available and you will find the answers to your questions. Depends on the price of your electricity which you will need to look up to find out what you can estimate your profits to be.

Yes, whattomine should give you a rough idea on the ROI.

Re: Any ASIC for eth?
by

on 11/10/2017, 15:29:33 UTC
The algorithm was chosen to be memory IO bound rather than CPU bound. Anything CPU bound can be done faster in hardware. An ASIC does not improve memory IO. details of the algorithm can be found here: https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/blob/master/Dagger-Hashimoto.md

So, ethash algorithm is the best of ASIC resistance algorithm because of memory hungry? The other algorithm can be ASIC mined anytime easily in theory, am I right?

Re: Riser sata cable burned!

If your PSU molex can supply enough power for 4 sata to riser, then it is the issue of bad quality of the sata cable. I remembered I watched a video mentioning bad quality of sata cable sometimes designed for harddisk usage only because harddisk draws less wattage from PSU.

Linux is just way more stable. Ive had miner executable uptimes of 60-70 days. Thats not system uptime, thats literally how long EWBF ran uninterrupted. In my experience, ive managed about 300 windows rigs and we had to constantly reboot like 20-30 a day no matter what we do to them.

I have both ubuntu and windows 10, it is true that linux is more stable, but windows 10 is much easier in OC. And I did not face any reboot issue in Windows 10, do you mean windows update reboot?

Re: Mining zclassic whit nvidia video card

Guys I need help about mining zclassic in supernova pool. I dont know what miner to use to mine zclassic. I somehow set up miner for zcash but I want to mine zclassic. I installed EWBF miner for zcash. But what I need to do so I can mine zclassic?!

You just need to point to the Zclassic pool and use a Zclassic wallet for your worker ID just as you would for Zcash. They both use the Equihash algorithm, so any miner capable of mining Zcash can also mine Zclassic. If you use Claymore's Zcash miner you may also need to add -allpools 1 to the bat file. For the Suprnova pool, use:  stratum+tcp://zcl.suprnova.cc:4042
This is my setting that I set up for my miner : http://prntscr.com/gw0wdz
Now I cant even start miner, I know that I did something wrong but what I dont know Sad

What is the error message that you have?

Etherdelta lowest price to buy is .39 right now  ..... Wow I cant believe I missed that massive dump to .12 today. I'm not positive I would have bought more but still.   I bought about 20% of mine at .65  Sad  The rest averages to about .35.
The way it rose so quickly again I bet it dumps pretty hard soon.

It is hard to tell about future price of ebtc, but it is the miracle that everyone like to clone it. I will keep an eye on it to see how high it can go...

Can a standard 1000W Power supply with 6 Sata Connectors, supply to 6 1050 Ti's.
Considering that my MSI Geforce GTX 1050 Ti do not have 6 pin Connector.
Will it be able to take all the power from the PCIE 1x to 16x Extender.
Any help would be appreciated...

Usually one molex of power cable can power up to 3 sata risers, but you can check with your PSU to see if each molex can draw more power for more risers.
