Great question! The Forge platform can prevent copyrighted objects from being 3D printed provided that the author has uploaded their design to the system. Each design file has a unique hash so that the same object cannot be uploaded twice. This opens the possibility of collaboration with existing product companies and presents an avenue to sell existing products that can be 3D printed.

Please register a community account and post in the relevant forum if you're interested in earning one of the bounties. Once our source code is published we will have many bounties concerning the 3D printing aspect including hardware development, stay tuned!
This is an absolutelly great idea! As we know 3D printing is new thing on 21st generation and already helping millions of people. It's been starting from printing small bits, to printing houses and even in medicine. Whole idea behind this is great, and when you involve blockchain into it, it should make a large difference in our lives.

Thanks for your support! We believe 3D printing on the blockchain presents major benefits for designers as their designs can never be copied nor resold when using our platform due to the immutable file links and hashing algorithm. Our goal ultimately is for 3D printed products to be commonplace.

We believe there is big potential for 3D printed alternatives to consumer goods. Many products can be manufactured using 3D printers! Consumers could potentially have access to low cost and customised goods with a short lead time.

Very true. If they will continue like this, people will start to lose their interest as they couldn't get the info that they want. Active communication with the community is very important in gaining loyal supporters. Or maybe they just want noobs to spam their thread?

Maybe add some snippets from their website at least. Their min contribution during pre-sale is 10eth. So quite large amount of money for small timers. They might want to lower such amount as the crypto market is not making any good progress at the moment.
